pretty sure I have parasites, often about 10 min after bm 1 or 3 long strings will come out with air/gas, just the strings nothing else. But they don't move or anything, about 3-4 inches long.
My gi tract flares so easily and for so long I'm afraid to try the treatments. Tried wormwood in the past and got multiple smaller white strings, but a bad gi flare at day 10 that lasted a month(even with stopping the meds)
tried a herbal parasite cleanse blend but that gave me interstitial cystitis(which was awful)
My mental health has been bad lately and I think this may have something to do with it. I've read pumpkin seeds? Would that be enough?
Would I be better offer trying a prescription med like ivermectin or something?
Sorry if tmi, but who else can I go to but you....
thank you

Hi, not sure if you've tried ParaGONE - http://www.renewlife.ca/products/paragone/ - I've heard good things about it. However it does contain wormwood so if you struggle with this it may not be the answer for you.
Sorry to hear about your symptoms, I am currently struggling with the mental health side of Lyme (as well as physical) and it can be so debilitating.
Hope you can get some help and relief x

Not a Doctor, but for me prescription anti-parasitics work more quickly with less herxing.
this is because the meds don't inflame your intestinal track (the toxins from dying parasites may, but the meds should not). OTC treatment often inflame the bowels while they also kill parasites which releases toxins.
Everyone is different and sensitive to treatment in their own way. You should try things under a doctors orders until you find what works for you.
