I did a yearlong lyme herbal protocol by Buhner and would like to know if there is a test that can tell whether I still have lyme.

The Western Blot test checks for lyme antibodies and of course I still will have those antibodies in my system whether I still have lyme or not.

I think such test would have to be PCR (DNA) test. How accurate would that test be?

Thanks.

Just knowing the science of how well these critters can hide, I personally would guess that we don't get rid of all of it, but at least enough to feel better, if we're lucky.

Best to keep your health in as good a shape as you can, including your immune system. My doc recommends Host Defense, a blend of 17 mushrooms.

Here's what has been posted recently on Lymenet about newer testing.

Dr H quote"
The Nanotrap test was published in 2015, as a new urine antigen test for detecting early stage Lyme and can also evaluate treatment."

This is the Borrelial 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequence test;

You could also take the MSIDS test to gauge your progress;
