once again confirming my sick house thing giong on felt reasonably well in Virginia at the shore visiting my dad, then 1 second in my house and boom like a ton of bricks I'm dizzy and disoriented and feeling like I am on an escalator.
this time is was so distinct and so major that there was no question it is this environment. I had a realtor come out and we cannot sell AS IS because we will actually lose money in the deal. so we'd have to invest tons of money to get it up to snuff- 1 completely gutted bathroom, new counters and some other stuff in kitchen, painting everywhere, lots of landscaping, etc, etc...
the list goes on and on.
my DH is a man of pretty much one talent- working in his job with almost zilch time/energy to fix or replace or even measure a thing.
I am in a panic. and to make it even worse our daughter just got engaged (YAY!!!!!!!!!) so now we have wedding bills that will be coming in.
the realtor suggested we take 1-2 years to fix up house as an investment and then sell with the potential of getting $50,000-100,000 more when done for the place. but I just want to cry at the thought of even being here another day. hour. second. no one understands how bad I feel and how hard it is to live this way.
please, someone, tell me what to do and make this all go away!!
here is what we (I) do currently to try and help:
2 large dehumidifiers in the basement
tea tree oil treatments in the basement to kill airborne mold spores
air purifier in major living space (getting more hopefully asap when I can scrounge the cash)
detox treatments include infra red sauna when I can, chlorella, biocidin (new, seeking new dr on this one), charcoal, - I thnk that is itall I can think of.

It sounds like you have a mold problem. Have you done testing such as ERMI or plates? Have you brought in a good mold inspector? What type of air purifier do you have? We've used IQ Air machines but recently purchased a Molekule and it is amazing!
Have you seen an MD who treats mold illness? Your detoxing sounds good but you may need prescriptions to help get rid of mold that may have colonized in your body.

Check out hybridrastamama.com/toxic-mold-doctors-a-comprehensive list/. -- strange name but a great resource for mold illness; Iseai.org (International Society for Environmentally Aquired Illness); and surviving mold.com.
And I know what you mean by the blank stare reaction. . .

I think it's from the water intrusion we had last summer from upstairs in our condo.
I'm at my wits end too. I'm considering a Sanuvox system for our HVAC.
We are also remodeling our master bathroom because we found some mold under the jacuzzi. I don't think that is where the biggest issue is, however.
Next I have to call insurance to see about the water issue from last year. I hope they will take the dive for that one.
Your doctor may be willing to prescribe CSM for the mold. I hated taking that stuff but I may have to revisit it.

Contact Dr. Lisa Nagy (there is a link there), as she is a mold expert. Maybe she might know of someone to recommend to you.
