Hello has anyone had experience with Dapsone regimen?I have been with Dr. H for many years and not very sick anymore but still need some antibiotics once in a while. Dr. H is very strongly recommending trying Dapsone which I have never done it but I am worried that it is very aggressive and expensive and it seems that you can still relapse afterwards? I would be happy to continue more conventional antibiotic regimens but they seems to be switching everyone to the Dapsone now. Any opinion? Thank you!!!

I was on the dapsone protocol for about 8 months. It was pretty helpful to me - I've now been able to stop treating Lyme with anything pharmaceutical at all while I tackle mold problems.
I didn't have any problems, but I was taking all the protective things (can't remember the names now...), all the various iron and folate supplements.
I had my methemeoglobin levels checked every three weeks just in case.
I did have a lot of anxiety about the side effects though, which certainly didn't really help me feel better.
