We are looking for a LLMD in Colorado or Kansas who is following the advice in Bryan Rosner's books if possible, using both traditional and alternative therapies. Thanks! we are actually in southern Nebraska but there are no LLMDs here.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent with some suggestions. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment! Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. None in Kansas. Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this: "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance"http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/2/15615?#000005 When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in to see a LLMD sooner by doing this. Check the online state Lyme groups at:https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ColoradoLyme/info Maybe they can help. Some more resources (including Support Group info):www.lyme-aware.org/colorado.html http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/Colorado/ The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information. Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon. View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

Thanks for the reply and pm! The link for why Lyme doctors don't take insurance is broken. If you can find the link and post it, that would be great. I'd love to watch it! Thanks!
