Also, this is not the Dr. S who wrote the Lyme book. Thank you!

If you showed him the lyme and coinfection test results you posted here today and he is not giving you antibiotics, then go to someone else.

You need antibiotics to get rid of these difficult-to-cure infections. So sorry about this!

Thanks TF, I do appreciate that he doesn't want to overload me with drugs as I am not the most resilient. The next step was going to be a trail of doxy to see how I do. But if that's not aggressive enough I need then I should find another dr. I want to get better. My kids and husband need me and I miss living. I'll try anything. Thank you all.

I understand that since you have had lyme for 17 years, you are definitely not the most resilient.

A lyme doctor knows how to deal with this. You are wasting your time. A trial of doxy is not what you need. Any non-lyme specialist could give you that!

I hope others chime in here to give you their perspective.

YOu have positive lyme, bartonella, ehrlichia and EBV tests and you have not received any antibiotics to date. That's why you aren't resilient!

Agree with everything that TF writes, everything. And, a trial of doxycycline is not at all going to come close, not even close. Sorry.

The author of the book would be the preferred choice. An ILADS educated true LLMD &/or LL ND is best, really.

Thanks Keebler. I have an appointment with Dr. J on Monday. You are all really helping me learn about this world of Lyme treatment. I'm scared of being any sicker but it does seem like it's my last shot at getting my life back.
