Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for VA, MD & DC.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

This is the insight I will offer you: get to the very best lyme doctor you can possibly afford. That gives you the best chance of getting rid of this disease.
The second best lyme doc in the east just reopened her practice to new patients after nearly 3 years of closing it. So, this is a golden opportunity for you.
She is in Washington, D.C. but you only have to appear in person once every 6 months. So, you can swing that.
Let me know if you want the name and I will send it to you with lots of info (prices, patient reports on how she treats, etc.).
There are just a few doctors who know enough to get rid of this horrendous disease for someone. This is one of those few docs.
I got rid of lyme (and babesiosis and bartonella) over 12 years ago now. And, I went undiagnosed for at least 10 years.
So, don't give up hope. The doc is the key.
Nobody top notch in your area.
