Looking for a LLMD in NJ that uses Igenex test labs. Would really like someone who accepts Qualcare and will be able to get lab work to be covered by insurance. Is this impossible?? Please advise.

Igenex does not accept any insurance. They do accept Medicare, however.
So, if you want Igenex, you must be prepared to pay for it (except if you currently have Medicare).
You can call Igenex for the price of the tests you are interested in or see this page of their site:
It looks like the lyme Western Blot, IgG and IgM is going to cost $256.
There are other good lyme labs that take insurance, so you may want to consider a doctor who uses these other labs.
For example:
MDL in New Jersey Stoneybrook
I know a good lyme doc who uses both of these labs rather than Igenex, but he is in Maryland. There is no wait to see him. Your labs would be covered with him, but he does NOT take insurance. You would have to pay for the appointment out of pocket or put it on a credit card.
Also, it is rare for a lyme doctor to take insurance. I don't know of any that take insurance.
You may want to contact the lyme support groups in your state and nearby states to find names of lyme docs who take insurance. See Support Groups on the left side of this page.
The first appointment with a lyme doctor is expensive. $600 is probably average. Many are higher than that.
So, it may be more important to you to find a lyme doc who takes insurance rather than Igenex lab.

I had a wonderful Lyme Infectious Disease Doctor in NJ (I'm now in Minnesota). He is my hero, and he does take insurance. If you haven't found a Lyme doctor, let me know and I can send you his info.
I am in a Lyme Disease protocol. Every time I go they draw a lot of blood because it is for research. They always send it to more than one lab - usually 4 labs. I have always gotten positive (for Lyme) results from all labs. Same with spinal taps... These are labs across the country. The only thing I would suggest is to request a western blot.
