I moved to this town in the upper peninsula six months ago, and am seeking a Lyme Literate practitioner here or nearby.

You should also watch "Under Our Skin", a documentary about the struggles Lyme patients face while trying to get diagnosed and treated for this debilitating disease.
You must become your own healthcare advocate. Read and research all you can about Tick Borne Infections. Lymenet offers first-hand experiences from Lyme sufferers and is a very valuable tool. Feel free to post any questions you may have and one of lymenet's many dedicated volunteers will reply. Good luck to you.
I will send you a private message.

PM sent with name in MN. I don't know of any in the UP.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better". They are an excellent source of information.
Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name if indeed you are, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:
