60 year old disabled woman. Sick since 1985. Diagnosed chronic neuro Lyme 1992.

Live eastern Long Island, NY, so prefer a neurologist in Suffolk or Nassau but will travel.

CANNOT PAY OUT OF POCKET

Seeking ONLY neurologists who accept my ****ty United Healthcare insurance.

Welcome to Lyment terriscofield

Sorry to say but most LLMD'S don't accept insurance, here's why;

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/2/25539?

You can request a LLMD through ILADS here;

https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

You can also request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here;

https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

Both of the sites are simple e-mail forms. There is a message box where you can write that you are searching for a LLMD Neurologist that accepts insurance. They respond quickly to all requests.

You can also get in contact with the Long Island Support Group for info on doctors in your area that are getting Lyme patients well.
