I heard this music video from Warren Zevon and felt like he was speaking my language on a very bad lymie day.
Viewer discretion, so I won't post the link.
To find it, go to YouTune and type in Warren Zevon - Live on Jools Holland.
The song and title contain the big cuss words. Don't plan on playing it for the kids, or opening it yourself if bad words offend you.
If cuss words are sometimes a part of your vocabulary in relation to lyme, you might appreciate the video.
Sometimes you want to cry with somebody who gets pain, and Warren knows how to do that here on a soul level with just a touch of wry humor.
If this post does offend anyone, I'll delete.

They should really have a diagnostic code for that particular ailment.

Warren was a wonderful song writer.
He wrote "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" when he was dying of cancer.
Most of you are probably to young to know that song...

I hate to disagree with you, joalo, but as a Bob Dylan fan I must correct you. Bob Dylan wrote Knockin' on Heaven's Door many years ago, long before Warren Zevon was diagnosed with cancer.

I know that song bejoy. (Knew which you were referring to without looking.)
It's also on the CD "Life'll kill Ya". Great Album with a fantastic version of Stevie Winwood's "Back in the High life" on it.
The man's lyrics were/are fabulous. Woohoo...
trueblue (sometimes memeber of the feverish Zevon cult).
ps. Check out the song "Don't Let Us Get Sick" when you have a chance if you haven't already.
Gail, He died of mesothelioma (asbestosis) several years ago. A terrible loss.
By the way the www.warrenzevon.com forum has some great information, guitar chords, lyrics and a pretty nice group.

He died of cancer associated with asbestos.
I imagine this song was written shortly after his diagnosis:
"That amazing grace sort of passed you by, and you wake up every day, hang your head and cry. Yeah you want to die, but you just can't quit..."
I was shocked to notice his stage name in the beginning of his career was...can you believe it..."lyme."
Wishing you all better days.
