So I thought I had the flu, until I put two and two together and realized it was, yet again, a herx. This thing can morph into any type of symptom, it seems!
I started thinking it might be a herx when I began missing letters or misspelling words that I never misspell.
This disease is incredible. So complex. I just continue to trudge through the mess, hoping I'll be able to finally get through the terrible herx's and see more progress.

Me too, Missing, me too! I'm already having problems with my insurance company and I'm only 2-3 months into a long process.
I wonder... why would someone get worse? I know about herx's and those SUCK but what actually causes you to get worse when being treated?

Can you get a herx just by taking regular antibiotics for a week? Would it be strong enough to cause that reaction? I know antibiotics result in me having some type of yeast infection, but I also got what seems to be the flu about a week after the meds treating me for bronchitis. I'm not on lymes meds due to inadequate doctors.

I had a herx taking "regular" antibiotics only after four days on the pills. So I would say, in my own personal experience, yes it's possible.
