What are you guys up to today?? I actually drove yesterday ( a few miles ) and drove a few today too. I feel triumphant but my right foot is not quite as happy about it.

I sold two angel pins over the weekend. Happy about that! And tomorrow my friend is taking me to lunch and to see a movie.

We're going to Arkansas. So an out of state trip... [lol] (we're not very far from the state line) Hope the hillbillies don't get me! [Wink]

(no offense to AR . . we have them here too!)

[lol] I started the same thread TuTu!

I deleted mine.

Was glad to read what everyone else did since last Friday.

I didn't exercise over the weekend was just plain to busy.

Japanfest was not as much work. I had alot of fun but got home around 1:00 Sunday morning.

Today I did 20 minutes on the ole stair climber, arm and ab workouts and took Rocky around the back of the property.

Sure am tired!

BTW, I enjoyed the pix of the javelinas and skinks. Skinks look familiar. I think we used to play with them as kids when my Dad was stationed at Fort Benning Georgia. We used to call them blue-tail racers.

See you all tomorrow!

Good to read everyone's posts.

Tutu..sure hope the feet things help.

Kayak...$7.00 for a hair cut. Nice

ALW...lookin good

The kindness of strangers drove me down the hill yesterday to see primary doc.

I was on my feet to walk to the bathroom while there and to walk to the bathroom at a gas station.

Used power chair to get to the doc's office so needed to load, unload, load and unload yesterday.

2 hrs at doc's office. Not sure how long I was in the small wtg room or how long the doc talked with me.

I just know it was not the usual 10 min or 20 min that previous docs have done.

I was excited yesterday about the visit. Then checked the paper work and the only immediate effect towards my health was that she gave me a shot of rocephin, wrote a script for amoxy...she suggested I stop the biaxin since I have been on it since 2003 and take the amoxy.

And the usual lab work...CBC

Sleep study was mentioned. I asked about seeing a pain mgmt person but did not get a response on that.

Doing a hearing test was mentioned...But, I all ready know my hearing has been effected by this and not sure how a hearing test will help.

I don't think hearing aids are covered by medicaid but perhaps there is something else.

Hearing is all over the place

Getting testing thru igenix was discussed. She said she needed to get the paper work and then fill it out

So, I will be doing a follow up call if I don't hear back in a week.

The sleep study was mentioned when I saw her months ago. But, never followed thru on even after several phone calls.

So, that was my exercise for yesterday....out of the house from 5:30 am until 11:30 am.

Good to be out of the house that long and do OK.

Today I was able to fold and put away some laundry. I still have stacks on my bed of laundry that I folded.

REsting now then hoping to get up and put them away.

Good to finally have the brain talking to the limbs so I could do this.

Cool out here now in the am. Then about 80's degrees during the day. Nice.

I know Rosie is going to be giving me the look soon...the look is for getting in the car and taking her to the forest to stretch her legs.

I don't know if I will have what it takes to walk on the trail, or load the power chair and cruise around or drive while she runs.

On the other hand, I could cruise over to the lab and get that taken care of this am which would also give Rosie her morning exercise.

I need to leave now. I think they open at 7 am. It is best to be there first thing in the am.

There still is a wtg line but at least not as bad as it gets later in the morning/day.

Power chair needs recharging but I think I have enough juice to get there and back.

Slept in so no exercise today.

TuTu-Let us know how those new orthotics work out.

Kayak-Glad you had a good day. Love it when I get a haircut. I finally found someone that I really like and she's $10 cheaper than the place I used to go to.

Kam-How wonderful that you had someone take you to the doctor. I didn't realize that you're still taking antibiotics. Whenever I try to take them I get a bad flare up of yeast. I can't take them anymore.

See you all tomorrow!

Feeling fairly well today. Tramadol is a great help for the hip pain. I am walking today with a friend. It is a beautiful day here and glad I am going to get to walk. I volunteered at a thrift shop this morning and went well. Tonight is a meeting. I hope this is not too much, but tired of doing nothing.

another slow day. i did stuff outside---batten down the hatches...50mph winds and 2 inches rain coming

i found out the gutters i paid over 600 for were put up wrong and leak awful...worthless...i called the guy and he agreed to come fix them free---i hope he does.

i was tired after covering what is left in my carport wiht a tarp and watched a wierd movie about elvis and nixon...i think it was supposed to be true. kept my mind off pain...and i put some laundry away while it was on

im getting ready to go get milkk and eggs but sure didnt get much done---really have to focus on the lawyer paperwork stuff

i find sometimes im good at physical and sometimes at paperwork and if i try to force it when i am not into it...it just doesnt work...takes forever and i dont get it done. if i,m into it-zoom. its done.

so this seems to be catch up week for sleep and i did get some supps i have needed...

Kam.. so you didn't herx from the shot?? Glad you have someone trying to HELP!!!

Cozy.. you'll know if it was too much .. tomorrow.. [Wink]

kayak.. keep after the gutter guy! [Wink] .. Elvis and Nixon.. interesting!

I had an interesting day. My friend picked me up for lunch and a movie. (in AR, remember) .. well, lunch was very good... DESPITE seeing a MOUSE in the restaurant!!!!! [Eek!]

We told the waitress and she was like, "OMG, what are we going to do about that!!" It was a tiny thing, but sure made you wonder about the KITCHEN!!! I told her to tell her boss. Have no idea .. didn't notice anyone else who saw it. GROSS!

At least she didn't say, "OH, that's Mickey. He lives here!" [lol] Seemed to be a very nice place and my friend had eaten there many times before. My first time.

So ... on to the movie... the place was CLOSED!!!! We had no clue on that. Maybe they are closed on Tuesdays??? SHEESH .. only in Arkansas.

So, we came back to MO and saw a movie at the IMAX. We saw "To the Arctic." It was about the melting polar ice and how it's affecting the polar bears and caribou. By the way, they said there are 20,000 polar bears. Glad to hear that!

It was very well done, with music by Paul McCartney and narrated in part by Meryl Streep. Very interesting.

I have had ice packs on my brain yesterday and need to get up and put ice packs on my brain today.

Not sure why brain is acting up again.

The right eye is also hurting. In the past it was because I had starch or sugar, etc.

I did make a smoothie teh past two days with OJ, goat's milk, egg, walnuts, cinn and nutmeg.

Might be the OJ??

Might be because I only took one biaxin the past two days?

Might be the shot in my rump of rocephin. Tricky business figuring out what causes health to become worse.

RE: Tramadol. I stopped taking it as I wasn't sure if it was making me less functioning or not.

icant take tramadol unless i am in bed for days.

i picked upp some supps at walmart the other day. i tell ppl not to do that and i dont know if i ever have b4. but i know i really need coq10 and E and some others.

i dont know if i feel so bad cuz they are poor quality or cuz they are getting my immune sx going and i am killing stuff or what but i am really dragging. and instead of normal floaters i am seeing really wierd eye stuff.

i also started para-stroy...all at once. i put off the detox stuff. i just got my small kitchen floor scrubbed and have put a few things away but i keep crawling back in bed.

it is a beautiful day here after the storms last night. 70's...low humidity

i hope i get a little more stuff done tonight

tutu-glad you had a fun outing even tho some wierd stuff happened

Able to do a little KP duty this am. Still trying to figure out what KP stands for.

Kitchen ?

Folded one quilt and one sleeping bag I recently washed. They still need to be put away.

Resting now then hoping to load power chair and head to the forest.

Still need to get dressed too.

Took Rosie out to toilet via the power chair this am.

Wow, that's weird, I don't see my Wednesday's post.

I did the same thing both days.

20 minutes on the stair climber and light workout with weights for arms. And abs on the bench.

Took Rocky around the back of the property.

Cozynana-Great that you're getting something done. I'd love to volunteer and thought about maybe doing something at the museum.

Kayak-I'm the same way about having to be in the mood to get certain things done. Sometimes I feel like a yellow whirlwind (half-asian) and can bust butt. Other times it's paperwork and what not.

TuTu-Glad you went out for lunch and a movie. Sounds like a terrific day! How's the footsies?

Kam-Those smoothies sound delish! [lick]

See you all tomorrow!

AK .. I think I even READ your missing post!!! [confused]

I like the orthotics (I think). I wore them 2 hours today. Three tomorrow, etc!

I hate switching back and forth, but I have to. I got myself in big trouble for not going slow last time.

Washing clothes today.

i cant believe my self. i slept til noon again!!! 12 hrs in bed. i did get some hepa vacuming and furniture moving and painting of the hall floor done last night.

but still smell mold in my living space even tho humidity is in the 30's. this is bad. im discouraged. i paid a lot of money and had many hours of free labor from friends and family to get to this point.

i do have a few more things to try-i got new hepa filters for a powerful air cleaner-i have to get that together and on.

im going to get new plastic and re tape up bedrooms and heater.

but i am afraid it is spores coming from under siding and in attic in the air close to house and whenever i open a door or window they make their way in. it will be tens of thousands to clean these two places up so there is no way i can do it.

i did get out to pick up all my supps except creatine. have to order that i guess.

etta was bad, bad, bad!!!! i stopped for gas and she jumped out of the car! and ran from me!! it was very busy with traffic and a young girl caught her for me. thank goodness.

i am going to have to stap her in from now on...

i called the gutter guy too. he didnt show up but said he would come tomorrow.

im ready for a break. i have a fantasy of getting in the camper and running away to the beach for a month

i really hope those inserts work this time tute.

Kind of out of it so far this am. Not able to read your posts. Hopefully alter today.

I was able to cruise on over to the lab in the big boy power chair.

In a fog. Brain fog that is.

I have been lying here resting. I'd like to do some laundry, have bacon and eggs for breakfast, color hair, clean up in kitchen, get goat's milk, drop prescription slipps off.

But, so far...getting up to go to the bathroom has been put on hold until I can't hold it any more.

Yeah! It's Friday!

20 minutes on the stair climber, workout with weights and ab stuff on the bench.

Walked Rocky around the back of the property.

Quick dusted, wiped down the bathrooms and vacuumed, then off to work.

Stopped at the post office and when I got back in my car it wouldn't start. It started after the 5th try so I'm at work.

Hope my car will start so I can take it straight to the mechanic I use that works from home.

Weekend started out with a bang and going downhill from there. Might be trapped at home until Sunday. [Frown]

TuTu-I know, it's weird! That post is gone! Hope those new orthotics are gonna do the trick for you. I've got 2-3 loads of laundry with my name on it also TuTu. [Roll Eyes]

Kayak-OMG! So glad little Etta is ok! You are absolutely right, I'd strap her in too. Hope the mold situation gets better. Those air filters sound like they'll help. Good luck! [Smile]

Kam-I remember days like that. I lost 10 pounds one month cause I couldn't really take care of myself. Course now I'd do anything to lose 10 pounds, or 20 or 30, etc. [Big Grin]

Have a great weekend everyone!

[hi]

i am just sitting here. i need to do somethng. i made myself get up at 11 but i didnt want to

i read the gmo htread and watched the video...scarey stuff but glad i got to the end where it tells you things to do.

made me worry about my daughter and 2 dil who plan to meake me grand-babies soon.

i also made an appt with a sort of LL primary near my new house. i hate changing docs. the receptionist said 2 very not LL things when i was making the appt. but i think right now she is my best bet.

and i painted the 2nd coat of primer on the hall floor while i talked to my oldest son. hes the only one who talks to me now. but he said my 2nd sone was doing well.

they are all working so hard and stressed.

gutter guy cancled again but said he will come tomorrow.

i need to finish floor and get air cleaner together. and MAYBE somehow consolidate clutter...again...always...constantly.

hows the piggies tutu??? i think i worry about the mold so much cuz it reminds me of b4 when i would start coughing and not be able to stop. that is very scarey. and the the lady that owned this house??? she died in her early 70s of uncontrolled asthma. thats less than 10 yrs away for me. i still want some time with my grandkids that arent born yet and i STILL want to ride and kayak...im not giving up.

but i need a nap first.

well kam...i did lie down. not sure if i slept.

i love cast iron pans and used them my whole life but then when hands got bad i had to give them away. i have one baby one i can handle to cook my egg in and sometimes warm something up.

when i woke up this morning the hall floor had the first coat of paint over the primer onit so i did something last night. it looks good. i splurge on good paint and i am glad i do. less work...better result.

after i get these meds in i will take a shower and then put the last coat of paint on. then tonight i can move the few pieces of furniture into the hall (its a fat hall) -mostly shelves and one dresser-and that will help me cut down on the clutter in my "one room apt"

i had a really painful night and had to take a diflucan and neurontin to sleep. i was holding off on the diflucan until i had my mold testing done...but the doc keeps not sending the order.

i woke up with so little pain i am thinking it might be time for me to take a neurontin everyday

it will slow me down. they make me sleepy. i will have to plan ahead if i need to drive. but i think my pain level is getting too high and i am turning into a whiner...

i may be moving to a new stage...the everyday neurontin stage. i wont beable to ride or kayak or do as much as i usually do. but it may be time to lower expectations and let my body have a break

so today: shower, last coat of paint for hall and put that air clener together(i have to clean it first-thats whats holding things up)

tomorrow the neighbor will come and help me hook up camper so i can go to campground and pay a guy to winterize it. im still thinking of not unhooking it for awhile...just driving to the beach and hanging out. the bed has big windows on 3 sides that open with screens. i love to lie in the bed and listen to the waves and smell the salt air...its like heaven for me. and good for my breathing too.

oh yeah...guess who canceled again...mr gutter guy. i may make some calls to find someone else.

kayak..I have read your post 3 times now i think and still have trouble with recall.

Good post tho.

I take gabapentin..I think that is generic for neurotin (sp?)

It use to make me sleepy and loopy but I seem to be Ok now. I think my body got use to it.

I take 2 pills 3 times a day. Sorry, can't recall the dosage.

Bottom line is maybe in time it will not make you sleepy.

Able to finally take a sit down shower this am, drive Rosie out to the forest...I even did the 5 min on the trail, rest and then 5 min out...then took out trash to dumpster when I got back via the power chair.

I leave the cast iron skillet on the stove. Caregiver cleans it for me. Putting it away is out.

I also burned my cast iron pancake skillet and miss it.

I heard explorer had a hole for a week before they patched it. Not sure what that means.

I did get an email about a charge on my walmart credit card for $30 for xbox.

I did not make that charge. I don't even have an xbox.

The email said to call the number listed above to make a correction in the order. There was no number listed above.

KEEP after the gutter guy.. he OWES YOU!!! Tell him you will report him to the BBB if he doesn't show up by Wednesday.

Being on the beach sounds great, kayak!!

-

KAM.. do not call the number.. CALL YOUR BANK!! OR WALMART'S REAL CREDIT CARD NUMBER. They may be trying to scam you about the charge. Maybe THERE IS NO CHARGE.

tutu-the gutter guy is just a handyman type. he kept not coming and not calling and today after talking to a guy about the mold under the siding and where it comes from (leaky gutters is one place) i called the handyman gutter guy and said i wanted my gutter adhesive that he had that i paid for. theres more but i better not say it.

anyway...i found out the mold under the siding is another huge problem. i did start putting furniture back and finding "a place for everyting" finally...even got some pics up...

and...there are communication problems with the lawyer...

i am feeling a little better now that i am back on more of the supps i was missing

im pretty sure im just gonna walk-well drive away from this for a few days...hang out at beach...try to make a new plan.

sorry about the feet tute. KAM be careful...a lot of scams around. if you could get help and just call the number on the back of the credit card its kinda important...if they have your number they can keep buying stuff

also-if anyone has 1st hand info (or knows someone who does) on llmd A.C or C S in pennsyllvania please have them pm me...thx
