Almost forgot to begin a new thread!!! I know many of us are struggling right now.

I suspect kam is not doing well and I KNOW kayak is not doing well.

We need prayers for both!!

hello my friends. good to have this place to come to. i am WAITING. feel like i am very alone in a bubble just floating. i watch the news and see horrible things happeneing but i seem to have no feeling. it is surreal.

i am doing prep for big knee surg friday...so i worry my heart will not be ok without the supps i take since i cant take statins. but i guess they would make bleeding a problem at surgery.

i get more pain every minute cuz i also had to stop ibu and other anti-inflammatories. im greatful they are letting me take mag.

im supposed to find out what kind of breast cancer within the hour...but this is the 4th time i was supposed to get results and they didnt have them. that is hard. stressful i need to know what i am fighting here.

so when i get the results i have to decide which surgery to do first...

AK'S GONNA BE HAVING FUN SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHEN IS RANDI'S TRIP

Sorry to hear that lpkayak.

I am able to do a bit more exercise. I walked 20 minutes yesterday in the humidity with no walking stick and did my 20 minutes of balance and strengthening exercise.

My balance therapist has made a huge difference foe me--kind, good exercises, and even called the ENT to get me in sooner than I could get myself in.

kayak...praying for peace thru out all of this and that they will have the results soon and be accurate.

Took excedrin in the middle of the night. Woke this am without the head stuff. 1st time in a long time.

Able to drive Rosiwe out to tthe forest and put up cot. Guessing I only laid on it for 10 or 15 min.

Went to grocery store from there and got some carrot juice. It seems to help get the bowels flowing or it use to...since starting on tramadol that is a constant issue and I have yet to find a solution.

The old solutions are not working.

Had detox tea all day yesterday but it hasn't resulted in any positive results. [Smile] TMI??

Able to do some dishes this am. Resting now. Then hoping to take a sit down shower.

Hiker...very encouraging report. [woohoo]

A guy and his dog came out of the forest this am near where I was laying. He had been on a hike with his dog.

I wanted to kick him in the chins. [Smile] Except I probably would fall flat on my butt if I tried.

Waiting until I am doing well enough to at least walk 5 min up that trail.

I tried that trail in the past and it did not go anywhere. But, looks like it does connect to the bike trails now...assuming...I'll know once I am able to give it a try.

Not an official trail in the forest. One that people have created

I was able to take that shower. I considered giving Rosie a bath too but wasn't so sure it was wise. Maybe this evening if health allows.

I also was able to finally make the lemon drink.

Able to do more than "lyme norm" this am. Hoping to be able to do a few things this evening too.

Hubby's day was better than yesterday. Had cranial therapy last evening which really helped with his head symptoms.

Went outside a few times today. Sat on the porch to watch the thunderstorm come. Wasn't a bad one, had a nice shower of rain. Will make the garden grow!

Kam, glad to hear you had a better day also.

Kayak, hope your surgery goes well and recuperation goes better than expected.

Able to check out that trail. I most likely will not walk it again. Too difficult....it would be rated easy for Normal people.

But, I was able to figure out it does connect to the other trails.

Hot and humid out all ready this am. I was out at 6 am.

Est 10 min on my feet on the trail. I couldn't find a place to rest.

Really wondering about the supervisor for the caregiving business. She asked me how Chrissy was doing via email.

I told her she is usually 30 min late and did showed up 30 min late last time and then left after she put the groceries away saying she was not to do housework on the 4th.

It seems once again the problem was me. The sign i had on my door telling her to meet me at BAsha's most likely in the produce section was difficult to figure out.

Supervisor said she called her at 8:04...which doesn't ring right for me as the sign was not up yet.

And that (she) the supervisor had trouble figuring it out too.

And that she had told her not to do housework on the 4th but getting groceries was OK???

Caregiver finally showed up at the store 40 min later.

It took 30 min to figure out what meet me at basha's in the produce section meant??

I also think I need to seperate personal care and household chores. Household chores on Tues.

personal care on Thurs. Sent email asking what is considered personal care? changing sheets, getting groceries, addressing an envelope for me, calling a doctor's office for me, food prep, etc.

I am a bit angry this am as the walk did me in...things will look better after I take two excedrin and rest here a bit.

I will be glad when I am able to take care of these things myself.

it is frustating to have someone who is not a good worker come in and having to just be thankful for what was done.

Took laundry to laundry romm down the hall.

ONly one washer open...better than none I guess.

A lady was camped out in there

She had a portable DVD player and was watching a John Wayne movie, and lots of other stuff on the counter that wwe use to fold our clothes.

She just made herself at home in the laundry room. HA She even had food with her.

It is kind of amusing. I put my peltor ear muffs on when in the laundry room as the sounds in there shut me down.

I tell people I am putting these ear protection muffs on to cut out the sounds of the laundry room....but it usually takes me telling them I can't hear you to catch on...even then some will continue to talk away..guess they couldn't hear me either. HA

Things that I would consider rude before lyme and company, I am learning to do to be able to do what I need to do to get things done. and if others don't catch on...I have to remind myself my health comes first.

Too much this am as I tried to do some laundry. Note to self: next time someone else is in the laundry room just leave.

it also was very hot in there. I need to go back and take out two more loads out of washer.

Rosie dog bed is a gone her. Need to replace it when I am able. Took cover off to wash it but all the stuffings are escaping...too thin of a material to pay someone to sew it back up...most likely too costly too..and I am not up to it.

Duct tape. HA! Nope. I don't think Rosie wants to lay on duck tape.

It is going to be tricky picking up the stuffings that are all over the house and getting it back into the bag for now.

Counting that as exercise when I am able to do it.

I'm back!!!!

Got home yesterday and I'm wiped out!!!

First off......I made it to the top of Flattop for all of us that are suffering/caring for someone with Lyme disease.

I DID IT FOR US!!!

[group hug]

I've got so much to tell you all and want to post some pictures.

I wanted to let you all know that I was thinking of all of us here at Lymenet when I finally crested the peak.

Now back to resting on the couch with my peach margarita and pain pills and muscle relaxers. [Roll Eyes]

So happy to share with you TuTu. Flattop is 3,000 something feet but not sure from the parking lot. I'll have to Google it.

It took everything I had and then some to make it to the top. Josh had an easier time. He was practically skipping and laughing all the way up.

He sure enjoyed himself the whole time. I enjoyed watching him have a good time.

What a blessing this trip was for the both of us.

Able to walk in to the vet and get Rosie's nails clipped.

I laid down on the bench seat while I was there. And had my ear plugs in as the sound of people talking and the phones ringing is too much.

A lady came over and asked me if I was all right. My actions were normal for me...I forget they are not "normal" [Smile]

Hope you can do it, AK!!

Here's my report from the athletic trainer... Who I think is actually a PT.

She evaluated me carefully and said she will work on my fascia. Seems it's very tight in my whole body. (surprise, surprise)

The theory is that it's from my injury two years ago when I tried to lift something far too heavy for me. My body has been trying to compensate in one way or another ever since.

She will do "dry needling" which is similar to acupunture. It is supposed to speed recovery. She will also do a type of massage and body work. It IS different from massage and is similar to active release therapy, which I had good response to many years ago.

I am guardedly optimistic! I will be going twice a week. The goal is to get me more mobile and be able to do NORMAL things again.

Prayers accepted!! [Smile]

PS.. my foot is somewhat better since beginning frankincense essential oil. YEA!

Info on fascia ...

Lymetoo,

Sounds like you a good therapy session. Hope it continues.

After slamming down eggs, bacon, and hash browns (which I never eat, but took a friend out today for birthday), I was able to run errands, mulch around the roses, do my 20 minutes of therapy exercises and walk for 20 minutes. No walking stick!! (but ear pressure is horrid)

Am exhausted, but am enjoying the cooler sunny weather--even had to water the gardens today (and am enjoying my lettuce and green beans for dinner).

time flys whe your havingn fun...huh!

i couldnt do the breast mri-my back spasmed bad and my knee did the dislocated thing that is painful and made me not be able to walk

the lady who took me broke her hip a year ago and ended up falling...

i was mortified. she says she isnt hurt. but i really think i should be transported by professionals-im big, i cant walk, my hands cant push the chair...

surgeon says we will continue with plan for lumpectomy thursday

im concerned about lack of communication and instruction b4 surg...it seems this hospital just wings it...but i dont feel i can do anything except go thru with it

this would have been impossible for months after the knee surg...so i know i made the right decision...i just widh they could take my whole chest off at once...i dont want to keep going back for this stuff...one lump at a time...but that isnt"standard of care" i am sure someone is making big bucks

also workers comp lawyer called about next hearing the 22nd...i flipped on them and said call my sil

i dont know what will happen

kam-i hope you can keep yourself safe...now that i almost hurt someone trying to help me...i want only professionals dealing with me...

im resting tonight and have a girl and lna who works partiem for an agency -she will come and help me get house more wc friendly and clean-its private pay but she and her friend have good refs...i talk to 3 emplyers and they did background checks and my neighbors are around

i hope i rest and get organized enough to use out time well together

my back really hurts now...im late for meds

ive lost track of what is going on here-but sounds like ak had fun

Enjoy your summer, hiker! Woot!

Kayak.. I hope your friend is OK.. and that your back settles down SOON!! I feel so bad for you. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

I will be in meetings most of the day tomorrow. I hope I can sit that long! It should be fun even though it's a business meeting for a charitable foundation.

I'll be surrounded my men. How can you complain about that??! LOL [Smile]

i can see I have lots of catching up when I am able on how and what you all have been doing.

Able to take a sit down shower last night and gie Rosie a bath while I was in the shower.

I also loaded up the power chair and cruised around in the undeveloped housing track area in the forest for est 15 min.

TWo new homes going in...maybe 3..I wasn't doing well enough to figure out if the getting the pad ready was the same one with a different entrance point or a new one..

I need to be able to be on my feet and walk down the dirt road to check it out.

Very nice out last night. WE had some rain and it really helped to cool thing s off...but it was hot out again at 7 am this am.

Yippee on the baths, kam! It should help you sleep tonight. Glad you got rain too. It's very dry here.

kayak.. that is great news!! [Smile]

Our meeting went very well, but it took all day. Very exciting to be a part of this ministry. I am in awe of some of our board members and what they have accomplished for the foundation and what they WILL accomplish for us. God is giving us the people we need to help us do His will in Cameroon.

We had a big breakfast together this morning and had planned to take a break for lunch, but we had so much to get done, that we chose to work straight through.

Thankfully, I had brought some nuts to eat or I would have passed out! [Wink] We met at 9 for breakfast and I didn't get home until 5:30 pm. I feel good though! [Smile]

Have a great evening and a great Sunday, everyone!

Hubby had a chiropractor adjustment yesterday and cranial therapy today. This evening he said he feels better than he has in a long time!!

He even went out to the kitchen and raided the fridge himself instead of asking for something to eat!

Went out to his office and worked for a little while this afternoon.
