Unless you're taking it that it might work in future but too late for us late stagers? [confused]

Hey HW&W,

I can understand your confusion. Just so you know and for others who were not around a long time ago...

The first vaccine was so awful it had to be pulled from the market and was, at lightning speed, just when all the lawsuits were coming to light. Some claim it was due to lack of sales, and that's true too. When the word got out about the problems, no one wanted to get it.

BOTH vaccines are based on studies using the BAD Lyme tests the IDiots still have on the market, which can't possibly make for reliable studies. But for the old one, it did pad the pockets of those invested in the products out there for Lyme stuff.

Government grants paid for the vaccine research, used tests the bad boys had on the markets (patents), paid the the same bad boys for their work in trials using us as guinea pigs, and money was made by the same group from vaccine sales too.

I didn't get far in that article before noticing the "Lancet Infectious Disease" mentioned. UGGGGGGG!!!! Personally I consider their publications way- a zillion miles- below those of the National Enquirer.

Here is a list of the authors often found there who kick us all the time- mostly IDSA supporters and IDSA guideline authors.

Auwaerter PG, Bakken JS, Dattwyler RJ, Dumler JS, Halperin JJ, McSweegan E, Nadelman RB, O'Connell S, Shapiro ED, Sood SK, Steere AC, Weinstein A, Wormser GP.

That list alone should make you run crying to mommy or find you hiding under the nearest bed to get away from the monsters!

[lol]

Check out their short abstract below. Just like the IDSA usually does, they are kicking those who don't get better on their IDiot protocols for Lyme, and the volunteer work we do to educate others. Nice doctors, eh? NOT!

"Advocacy for Lyme disease has become an increasingly important part of an antiscience movement that denies both the viral cause of AIDS and the benefits of vaccines and that supports unproven (sometimes dangerous) alternative medical treatments.

Some activists portray Lyme disease, a geographically limited tick-borne infection, as a disease that is insidious, ubiquitous, difficult to diagnose, and almost incurable; they also propose that the disease causes mainly non-specific symptoms that can be treated only with long-term antibiotics and other unorthodox and unvalidated treatments.

Similar to other antiscience groups, these advocates have created a pseudoscientific and alternative selection of practitioners, research, and publications and have coordinated public protests, accused opponents of both corruption and conspiracy, and spurred legislative efforts to subvert evidence-based medicine and peer-reviewed science.

The relations and actions of some activists, medical practitioners, and commercial bodies involved in Lyme disease advocacy pose a threat to public health."

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21867956

And the entities supporting this "new" vaccine are the same ones saying the old one was recommended.

Notice the new IDSA approach when they want to sell this vaccine. They are saying here how bad Lyme is here (as they do in their grant applications too), all for dollar purposes- a scare tactic- but elsewhere they downplay it all over the place.

Seems they are caught between the sales/profits from the tests and vaccine, and kissing the insurance industries back side by making treatment "cost effective" above all else.

Example from article- "Luft has already developed many treatments for Lyme disease, and has found that many patients don't respond well to antibiotics. He blames the hardiness of Borrelia for the disease's persistence. ...

First, it (Lyme) lives in a tick, and you can imagine what life inside the tick must be,” said Luft. “It's an ambient environment with not a lot of nutrition, yet it can sit there for literally years and years. Then it goes into the host, causes infection and, again, can sit there and persist for a long period of time.”

So to sell the vaccine, it is ok for them to say Lyme can persist for years... But, when dealing with patients there is no such thing as CHRONIC LYME? Give me a break! They want to have their cake and eat it too! Or shall I say have their dollars?

Ok, time to do some house work now that I'm all worked up!

Hope that helps explain a little of what is going on.

Easier than reading my rambling, take another peek at Under Our Skin, which explains it in more detail.

oh, ok....I did see Under Our Skin (even bought a copy that no one in my family wants to watch).

Just didn't catch the key names that hurt us further. Truth be told, I was crying through most of the documentary so I was a bit distracted. [shake]

Those who got inoculated with the first vaccine developed severe and intractable Lyme symptoms. That was the basis for the lawsuits.

Now they want more guinea pigs (likely children) for this next round? We all know how well people did with Gardasil.

This isn't about us. It's about protecting the uninfected. Which is exactly what they will say as they promote their (possibly dangerous and life-altering) vaccine.
