Colossians 1:3-5
Living Bible (TLB)
3 Whenever we pray for you, we always begin by giving thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 for we have heard how much you trust the Lord, and how much you love his people. 5 And you are looking forward to the joys of heaven, and have been ever since the Gospel first was preached to you.

"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a broken spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him from them all."
- Psalm 34:18-19
"God does not come to us in nicely defined, rationally explained, thought categories. God does not fit Himself into our theological text books. The Hebrew God breaks all the rules.
He is near, yet transcendent; clothed in human form, yet holy; more terrifying than can be imagined, yet compassionate; invisible, yet revealed; judging, yet merciful; sovereign, yet humble.
No matter where you look, God breaks the molds."

Okay, I have attempted two, I repeat, two posts. Both posts were started, finished and posted. (so I thought)
the next time I came to read God Thought No post. Lyme brain? lack of sleep brain? old age brain? blonde brain? (wait can't use that one) Oh well!
I will say that they were posts filled with the wisdom of the ages!!! Ha! Ha!
Pocono, How blessed that you are on the road to recovery. May that road widen under your feet until you look back and the road of sickness is in the far distance.
I am reminding myself of God's goodness to me today.
Psalm 18 was written by David after God delivered him out of the hands of Saul. It talks about how David cried to the Lord and He came down from heaven.
In verse 11 it says, "He (God) made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him."
I thought who dwells in darkness? The enemy of our souls. So, God hides in the place where our enemy dwells.
In other words, those things that are "darkness" in our lives, God is hiding there.
"What the enemy means for evil, God means for good." That is what Joseph said. The same circumstances that the enemy used against Joseph to cause his destruction, God used to deliver the nations out of famine etc.
It gave me a peace to know that my God is hidden in this darkness of sickness. He is just waiting to turn the table on my enemy.
What a faithful God we serve!!!

You remind me of me! I just read Lymetoo's response to my question in the "current" God thought thread and was responding.
Then the brain wasn't co-operating so I copied what I had written so I can better respond tomorrow.
That's if I find where I copied it to.
When I hit the back button I see, I think, 3 God thought threads up. I thought I did something. Whew!
Thank you soccermama for the kind words. I love your explanation of God hiding in our darkness. He will turn the table in His time.
We will wait on the Lord. With great love, reverence and praise for He and only He is worthy.
