Thought I'd give Hiker a much needed break and start this week's exercise thread!

Just about anything counts as exercise on this friendly thread.

Are you baking, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, organizing, or doing gardening or yard work?

Post it here to encourage others to get moving!

Working out at the gym or at home, hiking, biking, rowing, running, skiing, etc.?

We'd love to hear about it!

Here we go gang.................

[woohoo]

Today we're having Josh and my Mom's BFF coming over for dinner. So it's a cooking day for me! Made some zoodles to mix with the thin spaghetti tonight. Also on the menu is garlic bread and I already made a veggie packed salad of green leaf lettuce, radishes, peas, carrots, cucumber, tomato and more zucchini! Looking online for a salad dressing to go with the salad. I'm thinking maybe garlic, tomato paste, olive oil and apple cider vinegar, oh and some salt.

Mom made the meat sauce so we're vegging out right now.

Hope everyone has a terrific week!

Sounds yummy!! Wish I could eat some of that!!

I don't know what is causing my pain, AK, but I think it's MCAS... maybe Lyme, but don't really think so. Can't do anything about that anyway.

The LDN is supposed to help pain.

GO HOUSTON TEXANS!!! They are off to a great start and then one of our guys got injured. Not sure if he will be able to play. Go team go!!

TOUCHDOWN ON THE OPENING DRIVE AS I WAS TYPING!!!!!! [woohoo]

Ak--Thanks for starting us off. What time is dinner? I will bring the dessert.

Tutu--I am rooting for the Texans today! Have the TV on mute while I read.

I spent an hour this morning outside breaking up the ice on the walk and driveway. Tested my shoulder quite a bit and I bet I am sore tomorrow. I did not lift the snow or ice, so should be okay.

Did a load of laundry and have clean sheets on my bed. So tempting to slide into the toasty warmth of them.

Back to my book and the football game. Have a super week! [Smile]

Read & took a nap this afternoon.

AK, your meal sounds yummy!

Hiker, do you have flannel sheets on your bed? I love the warm flannel sheets for winter.

Manname--It has not been cool enough for flannel sheets, but I imagine next week they will go on my bed. I have a down comforter that is so warm.

Tutu--Sorry that the Chiefs stampeded the Texans.

I did the usual shoulder and balance exercises.

Dropped off my recycling at the nearest center.

Went to MD office to get my vitamin D blood test. Almost didn't want to go in with so many sick people in the waiting room.

Went to chiropractor.

Time to grab the mail and haul the trash to the curb.

Today was a Zumba day so danced around like crazy and am calling it exercise! LOL!

Shopped around later with Mom at an indoor flea market and found an awesome multi-colored crocheted bedspread for my bed and a black tablecloth for my upcoming big 6-0 BDay party.

Later this evening went to a singer/songwriter's contest at a new smoke free bar and made new friends and checked out a possible venue for my party. It's a very small place with a dance floor that might be doable depending on how many of my friends are coming.

TuTu let me know if that LDN helps with pain. I might mention it to my allergist at my appointment this year. I have some bone pain now and again which might be MCAD related also.

Hiker you're welcome anytime for dinner! I had to haul trash to the curb this evening too. Our weather is very mild compared to yours so it was a piece of cake. Thank God no ice at all!

Manna naps are a rare luxury for me and I treasure them more than chocolate! LOL!

Well gang, off to get some rest and see you all tomorrow!

Checked up on the apple, grape & pear seeds. The pears and red delicious apples have sprouts!! I need more potting soil so I can plant them!

The grapes and yellow delicious still haven't sprouted, but the seeds look nice and plump.

Its so much fun watching all these trees putting out tiny sprouts & then leaves.

Did some desk work and next I'm going to sew. Have some mending to do first and then the fun stuff. :-) Picked up some flannel to make a new nightgown.

Manna--It is great to watch plants grow! I used to love having my students do all kinds of labs growing plants.

AK--Zumba sounds like fun. Not sure I will ever get the balance and be able to handle the stimuli of the music to do it, but I am dancing in my head with you.

Did my shoulder exercises and then went to clinic for balance therapy. I think I will "graduate" from the clinic next week. Therapist re-evaluated me today and I have made so much progress.

Some things related to balance I am not sure will ever be normal due to damage from Lyme but I will keep doing exercises at home.

I went to functional chiropractor today. He wants to work on my adrenals but the supplement he gave me was too strong last time, so he reduced the amount. He also suggested I only get my neck and back adjusted once a week instead of 3 times because I am so sensitive to everything.

Got my vitamin D results back and am slightly deficient, so will up the amount I take.

Went to the library (can you tell I read a lot?).Right now I am reading a book by Michael Connelly called The Night Fire. Good detective novel.

Hubby bottled up the next batch of kombucha and added tea bags to flavor it. This time its cinnamon rose and black cherry tea.

He's feeling better since he stopped taking those new supplements. Decided to take a break before trying again.........

Hiker, I like reading too. Though I don't have as much time to read as I used to.

Didn't make it to the Y so ended up doing laundry and picked up my two new pair of prescription Ray-Bans. I'm very pleased with my new glasses and hope I can manage to hang onto these.

Between losing glasses and stepping on cell phones I'm spending money that I can't really afford!

Manna was glad to hear your hubs is feeling better. Enjoyed hearing about the trees and sewing project too!

Hiker you can join me anytime at Zumba! You're getting your health in order a lot better than I am. My intermittent fasting kinda went out the window so my mast cells aren't to happy with me at the moment.

Well, off to veg!

Slept in this morning.

Then did my shoulder and balance exercises.

Got my hair cut, so I would be presentable for Tutu and AK's upcoming birthday parties. [Big Grin]

Time to grill some porkchops!

I agree, hiker, that once a week would be better.

AK ,, I think I will have to give up on the LDN. So bummed about it. It is burning the heck out of my stomach.

Sigh.

Manna .. sewing used to be a great past time for me. I even made my wedding dress back in the day.

I ran errands today after my PT appointment for my shoulder. She worked on my mid-back too since it is very painful right now.

I tried to call my acupuncure/chiro yesterday for an appointment and he has an odd recording on his phone. I suspect he is out of town .. but I don't know.

Tomorrow is my birthday! [Smile]

Slept in again. Killer headache once more.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Went grocery shopping. Crowded as everyone stocking up for the winter storm--as if it is going to last forever. LOL

Gassed up the car.

Tutu--What are you doing on your special day?

Happy birthday TuTu!

Danced to much last night and tweaked my SI joint so took some Advil and have stayed in bed. This is the second time this has happened. I guess I need to tone it down a bit and come to terms with getting older.

Hiker I hope you can get some relief for those headaches!

Off to watch a movie!

NLIF--How are you doing?

No shoulder exercises today. Talked to therapist and he said to rest it today and then go to only 4 times per week.

I did go to clinic for my balance therapy.

Snow, sleet, freezing rain--we have it all today and I am glad to be home from therapy safe. Slick out.

Thanks for the birthday greetings, Hiker and AK. I'm sorry you had another bad headache. Ugh .. not fair!

I had body pain again and just worn out. Hubby had pity on me and delivered "breakfast in bed." It was a small Rice Krispies treat. LOL

I mustered up my strength to go to our church's council meeting at 4:30. Then we went to get hubby something to eat. I really wanted to eat but I didn't dare because my stomach was really bloated and painful. (MCAS thing)

So we went to the place where he plays sometimes and they sang happy birthday to me and gave me a slice of GF cheesecake. (took it home)

Success!!

Really doing a lot of my SI joint therapy which is special stretches. Did them about 12 times today and it's a bit better. Hoping and praying that the joint doesn't lock up because that requires a manual release which is expensive since I have no health insurance.

Since I was feeling better I made Mom and I some breakfast and actually cooked dinner too.

Also washed our bedding and did a regular load of laundry.

Hiker I bet you feel like celebrating the reduction of your shoulder therapy! Congrats!

TuTu I hope your stomach gets better! I don't have too many GI issues with MCAS but I did have problems using Nasalcrom. Made my head feel weird and caused anxiety but it did help me sleep. Think I'll just try it 1 or 2 times a week.

Well, off to finish watching Star Trek!

Bad headache again today. Probably need to call the neurologist. Sigh. Hoping to avoid MRI.

Did my shoulder and balance exercises.

Did a bit of cooking.

2 loads of laundry and put my flannel sheets on the bed. Coldest night of this winter is here.

BFF stopped by to talk. Time to prepare dinner and then relax.

Had snow & sleet today. Daughter said roads were not good when she came home from work at 4:30.

Put a few loads of wash through the dryer to finish drying them. Had them on the line outside overnight. They weren't quite dry.

Planted a few more trees - the red delicious apples, gala apples and the pomegranates.

Still waiting on the grapes and white peaches.

Make a dessert for Sunday dinner. Used plain gelatin to turn cranberry apple cider into jello. Its too thin, so I reheated it and added tapioca. Hopefully it doesn't get too thick now.

The boys are working at trying to get a small engine to run so they can put it on a go cart. They need to keep coming in to ask Dad how to do things.

No exercise outside of stretches repeatedly throughout the day for my SI joint. It's some better but the other one was aching along with my bad left shoulder. Could be due to rainy weather and it's getting colder.

Mom and I went to a couple craft stores looking for some card making supplies that she needs. Also we went to a discount store and I bought 3 new books for myself and 2 for Josh's upcoming birthday in February.

I scored 2 gluten free cookbooks for $3.99 each and a book on green cleaning for $1.99! I bought Josh 2 keto cookbooks for $6.99 each. Money well spent!

Hiker I'm worried about your headaches! So you don't think it's a neck issue since you're going to call a neurologist? Can you take anything stronger for the pain to see if you can get some relief? Also have you tried ice or heat? Praying for you!

Manna your dessert sounds so good! I'll whip up a coconut milk, cocoa, stevia pudding for myself and use chia seeds as a thickener. It's super easy and I like it. Was also thinking about you the other day because I found my most recent patterns and fabrics and picked my next project which is a very simple dress.

Well gang....I'm off to read, even though it's almost 3:00 a.m. Stayed way to late at Josh's watching (you guessed it) scary movies!

See everyone tomorrow!
