Good morning,

I went to evening prayer last night but now I have a full blown old fashioned cold, so will skip Sunday services so as not to spread my germs.

I did walk 30 minutes.

Hope to rest most of the day, but would like to go to the library.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Good Morning Hiker.

Able to cruise in power chair for an hour on the asphalt streets where I go in the forest.

Fun watching Rosie and Piney (the beagle) have fun being outdoors.

Just 3 homes are occupied now and little to no traffic.

Kind of wondering where everyone went that use to park on the end of the street and go on the trail.

Wore ear protection muffs so lasted longer. The lady I walk with likes to talk with her dog alot..

...for some reason it drains my brain...so it really helped ot have the peltor ear protection muffs on.

lp--mine is just a cold--sneezing and blowing my nose. No coughing. A lot of colds among the kids at school. But I have not had a cold in a long time, so I think my immune system is getting back on track.

I just the Tesla violet wand on the lymph nodes, in my neck and under my arms and am sweating out toxins. But still have the sneezles.

I sorta slept an hour in the bed and 3 in the chair. Wow. This is really knocking me out. It seems my chest is getting tighter and tighter and now i have some sharp pains in different places

I dont think im taking the inhaler correctly. Its been so long and my hands are worse so its hard to hold and push

The doc said i should have the pharmacist show me but i couldnr walk in there. A friend picked it up for me

It takes an hour to get the first meds in. I guess i might try to go to drugs tore

Im getting scared. My mom died of pneumonia. I have so many conditions she had. Many i blamed on lyme. We never knew it was lyme with her

o my, my life is just nuts.

sorry to be so away ffrom here....

I am feeling pretty good, and I am seeing that I REALY REALLY need to exercise, so that is probably a sign that I can do more!?

I am such a ball of flab! yuck. haha

I am able to eat more things now and they don't bother me so much, so I am eating way too much. clothes are tight again. I hate that.

any encouraging words would be greatly appreciated! [Smile]

I have been busy making art things for to sale. so that has been great fun.

I sang yesterday for a multicultural Mass. it was very nice but I had to shove tissues in my ears to block the high pitches and booming loudness! I still have so much ringing in my ears from it. terrible. not sure I would do that again. but it's only once a year so I will probably forget about it by then, haha

I thought I was in sudden menopause- 5 months ago I had a screaching halt, but surprise the other day was for me when "it" returned. (sorry, are there any guys here??)

I did go for a walk other day. short. my jionts are not happy. dog was so mad because I couldn't go longer.

hope everyone has a nice week!

it's rain here all day

Able to get dressed and take rosie around the apartment bldg to toilet.

Rested. Then able to get gas in car and drive Rosie out to the forest area. She just did her business and then stood by me until I let her back in.

Health wise...not so good today...but things could change.

I was able to do something in the kitchen but it pretty much was a blur. Est 5 min on my feet..i know i considered getting the power chair but that doesn't help when you need to put dishes away...i need to be on my feet to do that.

Still more cleaning to do in kithcen.

Hoping to call bank today or stop by local office to get password reset as I am locked out of my account on account I either got the password wrong too many times or I have changed my password and forgot whtat it was.

When I click on the reset password link I get an error message.

Both computer and iphone have not been working well lately..not sure what is up.

8 am...and i am just about done for the day. Next get up will be to get something to eat.

I know my attitude will improve once my health improves a bit.

Kam--love your positive attitude.

LP--Take care of yourself and don't overdo.

I still have a bit of a cold, but went to work and then to the chiropractor.

Rode the exercise bike for 15 minutes.

Early bedtime for me tonight.

Monday-Long day at work. Trying to make up for taking off last week. Working 8:15 til 7:00.

Still not well but feel some better from cranio. Also the crud that I had is better.

My therapist gave me at home cranio exercises using 2 tennis balls so I'm doing that. I see her Wednesday after work.

Still dizzy but not as bad and the ear is the same.

See you all tomorrow!

AK .. I would so love to still have my cranio person.. I used to do the tennis ball exercises! Glad you are better.

hiker.. Sounds like you are getting better too!

My friend (and hubby) stopped by today on their way back to MN from Texas. We've known each other most of our lives. We spent the day together at our place. It was nice being together again.

Therefore... I did not make it to exercise.

Still have my sinus infection and will run out of meds by Friday. I will see an ENT on Monday.

Kayak went to the ER today and was there for 5 hours. They did an X-ray and said it was bronchitis. I hope she can get some rest tonight!! She asked me to post as she is exhausted!

Tuesday-No exercise yet. Still trying to recover and balance still off.

It's 8:45 and I'm done with my work! Yay!

TuTu-My ENT said my sinuses were clear so I don't know why I'm all stuffed up. Beginning to wonder if it's not a cranial nerve issue.

Glad to hear that you spent the day with your friend. Sounds like you had an awesome day.

Kayak-You have bronchitis?! I hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Glad you were able to come up for air, kayak!

AK .. Look into the salicylate issue.. .. If you are sensitive, it will stop up your sinuses.

Yep...im here. It takes a lot of energy to do meds right. Simething every two hours. Still coughing and wheezung a lot but no coughing fits so not scarey.

My lungs are clear by xray but i am starting to bring up yellow mucous so ak im not sure how impt what ent said is. Do you feel luke you have sinus infection

I have a lot more energy too...picking up house, doung laundry, dishes...still a lot of sitting too

Back pain is bad and controlled with heat. I am still losing weight over all. Sometines gain a little if i dont eat regular

Im starting to have trouble with hanging skin(sorry if that grosses you out) i know regular core exercises will help. Im doing them some. Hope todo more soon. Pribably need to find.
Some shape wear that works...in the past it has been really hard to use at weddings and stuff cuz of arthritis in hands

So exercise goal now is core strength...but need to keep getting well first

Able to pick up a few groceries at grocery store. Hoping to read receipt when able as a few cost me $80..hope it lasts the rest of the month.

Ir ecall getting 4 small salads, turkey and cheese and gf bread,

laundry saop, cashews, good belly drink, ruby red grapefruit drink.

CAregive rput groceries away. She will be here one more time maybe then I will have a new person.

Hope new person works out.

Stil wtg to get papers to see what my rent is goign to be for next month...

WAlked into grocery store but used elec cart once i was there and to get back to car and help putting groceries in car.

Laid in sun for a bit this am to get some vit D and had two people stop to talk but had to cut it short and go back into house...too much for health to handle.

Tried bone neighbor gave to me to give to Rosie b ut it started doing the bone fragment thing so took it away from her.

It looked like a maroow bone but wasnt' strong enough like the kind i use to give to her and can't get around here anymore.

Able to make myself a turkey and avocado sandwhich on GF...felt like a health person because i was able to maekt eh sandwhich and sit outside and eat it in the sun.

But, I have been laying down since.

Able to print out page of bank statement and get on line with bank..so hping to see what checks are still outstanding ..things got upside down for a bit. ..but thankful it worked out.

Able to take a shower last night thankfully..with the cotton from the cootnwood in the air need shower more frequently than health usually can do.

Time to get up and hydrate/

oops just saw the drink on night stand so finished i off.

able to read your posts. hope you are all doing better

New neighbor moving in next door this am. I just saw him taking some things out of his car and slowly walking to apartment door

Last I looked his car was gone.

It said fleet service on his license plate.

So two new neighbors near me this week.

When I find out what my rent will be I will know if I will be staying or moving.

Right now, I have yet to find a place tht a I can afford to move too...so am thankful for this apartment.

I have wonderlust..want to get in the car and go but need a car I feel safe in...and need the funds and health to get in acar and go..I do not care if I can only drive a short way and then need to set up camp each day ...not realistic though. ..as health can not do this at this time.

Cehcked weather out. I think low 50's at night next week so considering going camping next week if I have the funds...only $10 a night to camp but bank acct is getting low.

That might help the wondelust a bit if I could do that.

Still a bit concerned about the night time temp..I guess it is time to leave the windows open at night and see how I do. [Smile]

I was out for almost an hour with etta throwing the ball and walking around to see what is popping up.

4 hyacinths! Yea! I noticed one of the baby trees i planted two years ago is close to 3' tall...they were 6-8" when i planted them. I told him i was really proud of him

Amazing tome they can survive 7' of snow and thrive

So that was a little exercise. I took all meds on time except cough syrup i take before bed. I do have energy but i amwheezing so bad and cough almost turned into a fit twice

Hope another good nights sleep will get me over the hump

Had to be careful of sun cuz of doxy

hiker.. Sorry to hear about the visitation.. so glad you were able to be there for your friend.

kam.. Hope your new neighbor will be OK. Maybe your rent won't go up because they need to fill the empty apartments!

I ran a few errands today and did grocery shopping. Hope to go to exercise tomorrow.

Wednesday-Didn't sleep well last night so am dragging butt today. Going to get some cranio today so leaving around 1:30 but will come back when done. Also have to drop off hubs rx.

TuTu-Thank you for the info. I'm sure wondering what the heck is going on with my health. I was surprised to read that you do the tennis ball exercise too. I'm asking her today if I'm putting them in the right place. My dizziness is a whole lot better.

Kayak-Glad that you're getting some good treatment for that bronchitis. As far as my sinus stuff goes, I get plugged up when I lay down. It's really weird. Looking into different things on google.

Kam-I feel the same way when I go to the store. I'll look at how many bags I have and wonder how in the world they can cost so much.

Hiker-Going to a viewing is tough. I try to go if I can. Usually I can't make the funeral if it's during the week day.

Glad that you got some exercise in. My nephew, Josh, who's also a teacher has a lot of stress. I think exercise would help him too. In fact, back in 80's I used to have panic attacks and my neurologist told me to get on a treadmill to combat stress.

See you all tomorrow!

able to be on my feet on the forest trail...5 min in, rest short rest, 5 min out.

I have a hammock...and I saw a couple of trees that might work for a hammock...so hoping next time I might be doing well enough to hang up the hammock.

Ak...its normal to get plugged up when you lie down. If you can get the mucous loose with fluids, sudafed, xclear, hit shower etc and then lie on your belly on bed with your head hanging off the edge or suppirted like when on belly on massage table it should start to drain

Someone drecently in one of the illness threads mentioned a salt pipe...it might have been caril in pa. My brrother used to have a way of irrigating sinus with sea salt...that kinda sounds like the salt pipe...i never used one but would look into it if i still had sinus problems

Also its pretty easy to finf research that 80% of sinus infections are fungal so need anti fungals not anti biotxs

Oh yeah ive been wanting ti tell you. Once about ten yrs ago i was hospitalized for ten days for dizziness. They did all kinds of tests. Couldnt figure it out. They sent me home and i still couldnt walk. I had to crawl. Ten years before that i was in car accident with severe whiplash and wad out of work for 18 months with vertigo

I have heard of many vertigo cases that docs cant figure out. And often it has been with ppl with lyme

So im worse. Yesterday i had energy after good sleep. I did some dishes, laundry, bills and took out trash. It sounds like a lot but i was neverr on my feet more than ten min. Most of day and night was in chair

Today i can barely get to bathroom.and stand long enough to make toast or egg

I did do some bills sitting down. But mostly im just following instructions and sleeping inbetween

This sucks. I remember wheni had docs that knew how to fix things

Ak...hope you find answers. Kam glad you got out a little

I defer to AK on this one since I haven't done it in years, but basically you put two tennis balls in a sock and then put them at the base of the head when lying down. You lie down on them.

I wouldn't try it now since my C2 vertebrae is messed up.

Kayak .. Sure hope your situation turns around soon. PS .. I have a salt pipe but have not used it enough to know if it really works. I would think it helps though because salt is healing.

Thursday-Feeling somewhat better. No exercise yet though.

You guys are awesome! Thank you for all the info shared so I can try to figure out what's going on.

Here's something really weird. I used a wedge pillow last night and slept a lot better. Didn't wake up as much with the pounding heart thing and my head wasn't so stuffed up either.

Been googling causes of pounding heart when laying down and getting some heart/cardiovascular info.

Think I'll search on Medical and see if anyone has POTS or mitral valve prolapse.

What about you guys? TuTu, you have heart issues right? When I first got sick in 2003 my blood pressure skyrocketed to almost 200/110. That was one of my first symptoms.

Hope I can figure out what's going on.

Got in a car and headed this way and then that way and then this way...ended up at the horse camp...

Ah..the quiet was good for the health. Rosie was able to get out and have some off leash time and I was able to use the bathroom and get some trash out of the car.

Wanted to stay longer but needed something to lie down on so left.

On way back noticed the car dealer from the next town east of us was at the walmart center in town so cruised thru to look at cars.

Back laying down now and hurting body wise and emotionally. I know when health improves my outlook will be better.

The brain is also not off line today like it has been the past few days so at least brain is thinking of things I would like to do or need to do..just not able to do them health wise.

I also know stress will be less once i know what rent is going to be fo rnext month and the year...I hope...might cause more stress...I stress easily now.

I am not fit to be around people today so far.

Breakfast is next then get in power chair and cruise on over to FNP Family N.P. I also heard she is a doctor but that is confusing so need to find out what kind of doctor. Need to find her business card..I know she had mor einitials after her name than FNP but can not recall what they were.

Good reports on her thru the FB city page...someone asked for a doctor recommendation and she was oen of the most repeatedly recommended.

Today's appt will be to check UTI and check on how paper work is going for power chair and see if I can not get a different dx so I can get a power chair that I can lie down in.

And to let her know what test results were with LLMD adn that I still have not gotten copies of the appers myself.

Tried to do some printing today but black ink is almost gone...so no printing until next month.

Trying to find way to be at horse camp during the day so I can have some quiet and then be at home at night.

Sometimes teh brain works and helps make life more do able.

The plan is to try this next week..as weekend campers will be showing up soon

Able to put dirty dishes in sink but havne't been able to wash them yet.

Fed cat and dog and checked litter box.

Looks like a very low functioning day again today.

Past two days, I have left the apartment in my coat and got to hot and took it off while out.

Both coats are in the back seat of the car. Wtg for my health to get well enough to get them out of the car.

Kam... Hope your appointment goes well and the day gets better also!

AK.. You may want to have an echocardiogram done or an EKG to check for A-fib. But then if it only happens when you lie down at night they may not be able to pick it up. Worth a try though!

Are you taking adequate amounts of magnesium?

TuTu-I just read a link in regards to MVP and magnesium deficiency. I'm not as diligent in regards to taking my magnesium. I'm changing that today.

randi .. 30 min is good!! Give it a year and see if you can get it to 20 min. That's a nice clip..but takes awhile to get there.

AK.. I have not had an episode of A-fib in several years. I know that keeping my magnesium levels UP is really helping me.

Kayak ..So happy to hear that the coughing fits have died down. Progress! Be patient!

Hope to hear from Kam soon!

Hiker .. FRIDAY!!!! [Big Grin]

I went to a Gospel Show today and it was pretty danged awesome! I'm very familiar with all of the entertainers as I watch them in their regular show every Sunday night. I bought a CD and got an 8X10 glossy! [Big Grin]

I think I forgot to post that I did 20 minutes on the machine and 14 laps yesterday.

I keep forgetting that this is an exercise thread. [Big Grin]

Able to get out of apartment for an hour this am. New caregiver is here with old caregiver.

Cruised thru out of town car dealer on walmart parking lot.

only car that caught my eye was a nissan frontier but it ran $31,000 so that is out.

Cruised to yard sale and got out and looked about. Saw a headboard and footboard for twin bed but just wasn't up to it. Like it too.

Leaning more towards putting things in storage in hitting the road but for now I am here.

Cruised to dog park. SAt in chair with straps that were iffy...sure hope it is someone else and not me that is sitting in that chair when they break. One has all ready broken or more.

I like it because it is flexible and I can slouch in it while I put my feet up on another chair for 5 or 10 min.

Then drove home.

Body is hurting and brain is prtty much off line so time to veg and then get up and eat and take meds/supplements.

Ah yes. Also on my feet to walk one length of the cars that were for sale at walmart parking lot and back.

And walked into dog park and back.

Wondering if i had an easier way to load power cahir if I would be able to do more.

Only way I can think of is a van that has locking wheels so I can drive it on and off

Stopped and took pics of van for sale at a senior complex apartment bldg..but it doesn't have a set up for power chairs.

It is just about $10,000 more to the price to add a set up for power chairs...

Ouch. STill waiting until brain is working well enough to see what a fold out lift costs vs the the floor ramp that most have.

That has got to be less expensive.

Rain here today maybe 50/50 chance around 2 pm.

overcast and cold..sure hope we get rain.

Trying to talk to myself and cahnge my attitude but so far it is not working.

Trying to focus on the can do's instead of the can't do's

Friday-No exercise today but plan on going to the grocery store after work today.

I'm with Hiker on TGIF! What a long week.

I've got a lot planned for tomorrow. Housework and yardwork. Need to wash my car too. We'll see if I can manage all that.

Kayak-Hope you get to feeling better real soon.

Randibear-Way to go on cutting down on your time.

TuTu-You're just having way too much fun!

Kam-What's your sleeping combo?

Have a great day everyone!

AK.. yep.. wish everyone was HERE. We could have lots of fun! Hope you have a great weekend!

Kam.. Glad you were able to get out and see the cars and get to the dog park for Rosie. I'm sure she enjoyed that!

Oh...do u think i should bat my eyelashes and ask for another round of doxy? Ha. That wont fly around here

I would rather find someone who knows how to give antifungals for broncitis...i dont know how. It was never this out of control and i had it five years

I did fall asleepin chair earlier but when i woke up i tried to keep doing stuff. Drying large wash in small batches. Packing up large clothes and organizing what fits. A ciuple hours paperwork

Im exhausted. Coughing bad again. Back really hurts. So weak

I have been hungry for the first time since vacation...but i fill up pretty easy

At this point i guess i just ride it out til monday...maybe magic! Maybe all better!

I hope so cuz now i dont have a doc and i dont want to go back to er

Up at 4:00. Let cat out. Took 2 excedrin. That was it for being on my feet. Wore me out.

let cat back in. Back in bed.

I did get a large roach out of the bathroom sink. It was too big to get back down the drain so I was able to catch it. Eww.

Also made a cup of detox tea. Fed dog and cat.

sleeping med combo: temazepan, mag, bedtime tea, gabapetin

I did not start to sleep thru the night until gabapetin was added

Rosie has woken me up the past two nights to take her out to toilet. Not sure what is up with that but don't like it.

HOping health is doing well enough to get her more exercise tonight before she goes to bed

I do not like getting up while being drugged and out in the dark in my power chair.

But, I do like the night air and able to see a few stars.

Raining cats and dogs here.

Cooked some items this morning so I have less to cook after work during the week.

Rode exercise bike 30 minutes.

I need to run some errands but don't feel like getting out in the cold rain right now.

Didnt sleep well. Coughing. Up at 4... back hurt in chair and bed so sat on bed and put away last of laundry. Now i have a "too big" drawer and a "too small" drawer and all clothes have a home. Feels good to say one chore is done instead of in progress

Napped. Pest guy came. He did outside work. I didnt let him in

I had to sit up cuz i took doxy so made a calendar on cimputer so it would be easy to tell doc on monday what has been going on. I thought it had been a month but it will be 3 weeks tuesday. Feels like forever

I stood for anhour cleaning kitchen after lunch and now im really exhausted

Kayak.. I'll contact her for you. Try not to worry. It takes time to get over viruses that cause infections.

Beautiful weather here. I ran errands, planted flowers, picked up a prescription, etc.

Will see a new ENT on Monday.

Forgot... I did 10 min on machine on Friday and walked 14 laps. My hip was hurting on Friday. It's better now.
