Happy week! [Cool]

I found a garter snake skin in the flower beds this morning. I think some may live under my porch.

Fine with me. They eat the bugs!

Off to my folks.

Have a great week.

Cleaned up my parent's car and swept out their garage.

Walk 35 minutes. Warm and humid.

Ready for a nap now. Mom is at a piano concert downstairs (retirement home).

Looking forward to shrimp, cheese, and champagne tonight. [Big Grin]

Hey gang. We had a nice service today at church. Had a trumpet quartet and they played mostly patriotic music. It was a real treat!

Hubby and I went to eat Mexican food at a "new" place. It's owned by the guy who also has a very small restaurant in town. My husband used to eat there between shows when he worked for a certain show in town. He got to know the owner real well. It was nice to see their new place today and the food was good.

Hope to hear from everyone else soon! [Smile]

I got my dishes done and a few more things in kitchen. Really had trouble keeping going. I mived some planters, watered flowers and mowed about half hour

Now im working on living room. I really need a handyman that charges like a handyman not a contractor. I really need someone to lift window ac s up to window. I really cant do it anymore.

Tonight i pulled daybed away from wall and cleaned behind it When floor dries im gonna drag ac over and get it under window. I hope i can find someone to lift it. I have to do that in office too

Two days at end of week are 90s...thats too hot for me

I have 4 doc appts in 4 weeks. Two are with llmd types...cash...expensive and one 8-10 hours away.

Im gonna have to pace myself to get thru this

And i have to be careful of money.

Im glad you had a good day tutu. Has kam been on fb?

Hope ak is cooking up a storm and partying

Oh...we had an earth quake today...i didnt feel it. About 50 miles away but only a 3 something

Happy Memorial Day everyone!!!

I'm at work since 8:30 but might get off early today depending on if we're busy.

Believe it or not, haven't done anything to celebrate.

We're supposed to have some bad weather today so might just go home after work. Would like to do something but might just veg out.

Well, I rented Mr. Turner from Redbox but only got to watch the first 35 minutes of the movie then fell asleep. They didn't have 50 to 1 (horse movie) so hopefully this coming up weekend I can actually watch the whole movie.

BTW, couldn't take my new psoriasis meds, made me jittery and gave me a headache for the 2 days I was on it. Killed my appetite too. Now that I'm off it I'm feeling better.

Trying the coconut oil and hoping it'll help.

See you all tomorrow!

AK--stinks that you have to work on a holiday. In my opinion most stores and businesses should close on Memorial Day to honor our fallen soldiers.

Cookout at the retirement center got moved inside and since I don't like hotdogs unless they are charred on the grill, I bid my parent goodbye and came home early.

Heading out for a walk.

My heart is so heavy today. Texas is taking such a big hit. Now a dam has failed near Bastrop, the area that was totally devastated by wildfires a few years ago. There is flooding all over the state like I've never seen before. I guess the 5 yr drought has ended.

One of my very good friends I used to teach with could have been killed in the flood at Wimberley, but her home was thankfully high enough off the river that her family and the house were spared. Her neighbors' houses are destroyed, totally swept downstream.

This is the same friend who almost lost her son to a skiing accident 3 years ago.

I've seen first-hand what these flash floods can do. When I was in college we had a flash flood in our town and 28 people were killed. All of us in the college helped clean up houses that were damaged. It was a real eye-opener.

12 people are missing in Wimberley, including some beautiful young children. So sad.

Tuesday-No exercise yet.....

Stopped by and picked up barbecue sandwiches and brunswick stew last night to celebrate Memorial Day.

Hiker-See everyone had cookout food in mind yesterday.

TuTu-Am sorry to hear about the lives lost in the flooding. Brought back memories reading about you lending a hand for flood victims. When I was in my 30's lent a hand sorting and packing various donations for forest fire victims. Hard work but more than worth it!

Kayak-Glad you're enjoying good weather. Down here it's rainy off and on for days. I'm going to enjoy it though cause I remember so many years of drought.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

just checking in. Mostly been recording what i have been able to do on FB because it is May and Lyme Disease Awareness month.

I'll be back here in June.

But, also need to figure out a way to get netflix on the iphone as all cable service will be stopped soon.

NOw, I am typing with my eyes closed as Ilay in bed.

Keyboard on my lap.

Computer next to bed.

Considering finding a hospital tray to put monitor on as I am too weak to move monitor on my lap and off of my lap and it hurts tmy brain and vision to have my head towards the right to type..plus screen is too far away.

Going to check out other services to have internet hooke dup when health is able.

But, guessing cable is best as other services require two year contract...i know some who have moved out were not happy campers as they had to continue to pay for service for two years even though they no longer could get the service where ever they moved too.

Just got up to talk with neighbor. Had two neighbors tell me I had left my purse on the power chair on the lift on the car.

It is just plastic bags for picking up poop.

But, finally decided to bring bag in as someone might think it is a purse and take it.

Since the bag works out well to hang off of power chair I do not want to loose the bag.

I also put my ear protection muffs in it and water etc.

I recently got the idea to just leave the power chair on the lift to see how that works out.

The past two days I have been able to drive Rosie out to he forest area I like and cruise around for est 10 min.

Not really sure how long I am out. I will time it next time.

But, it is good medicine to be out there.

Rosie was really full of it this am...lot so poop deposites.

I have added canned food to her dry food ....I thought she was doing fine but this am she had loose stools on the 2nd depost she left in the forest.

Pouring rain here. Our 7th grade outdoor picnic and pool party has been cancelled and the kids are so disappointed.

Thankfully, I picked up a few fun movies at Family Video yesterday in case this happened.

I'm still searching for the news report that showed my friend in front of her house on the river, but this one is taken right where she lives. I think when they pan to the house shown here, it's her neighbor's house.

I know they interviewed my friend right there.

https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=cbs+wimberley+flooding+newscast&ei=UTF-8&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-002

(click on the video that shows 2:57 as the length)

It's distracting to me that they showed pics of flooding in Houston in the same clip. Houston is over 150 miles from Wimberley but had flooding last night.

Wednesday-Still no exercise gang. Trying to get motivated again. Got my DVD's but have yet to use them.

Going out with co-workers after work for chicken wings. Making myself go because I'm the oldest of the bunch and feel it! Would rather go to the museum. Sheesh!

Happy to read what everyone's been up too!

Have a fantastic day!

im here for mental health and to give some good news

lab results back no mold where my suitcase was from vacation...so maybe i can save the rug by steam cleaning

very small amount of non toxic mold that is common outside on chair...<5%...very small amount and it causes allergy in some ppl but no bad stuff

to me those results are negative yay!

but etta woke me early coughing and vomititing white froth...scarey

took her to ac in car and she was immediatley better

im having major problem getting machines working and getting help to do it

this morning i fixed dehumidifyer...so that is good

i found out biggest machine is under warrenty so guy is coming out-not sure when...waiting to see what he will charge to clean smaller ac s

only 10 days left on warrenty...i hardly ever get those things in on time

etta has been ok since i brought her back into office...that is where machine is working but not as good as it should so they are coming to check it

on the mold site her sx are canine mold...and there is a link to ways to help her... a lot of what we take...over the counter but right now shes ok but still...a plan i cannot afford a vet bill and they are like regular docs dont understand mold in dogs

so kinda good and bad but mostly good

also fridge guys came and fixed fridge quickly

didnt read your stuff...im having a ruff time with this weather...but still doing my best

tutu i was bad when another person kept me waiting til after dark last night to put moldy ac outside i did it...it was grossing me out in the house even tho it was covered im fine.. i am always so much stronger later in the day when joints are greased up

something in here is bothering me...my tongue is tingly...one of my first sx...and a little more cough than usual...do not want to go backward

i hopw i can afford this prof guy to clean acs and install them and fix the newest one that isnt working right

take care...be safe...our world is a bit crazy...dont have to look far to see many worse off than me...even tho i am struggling

lp-it sounds like you don't have a mold problem in your house.

So, maybe something else besides mold is making Etta sick. I'd hate for you to misdiagnose her.

Rode exercise bike just a little yesterday.

The humidity here is high and I did not help my sinuses any by gorging on cheese this weekend.

That is good news about the mold. I hope you can relax a bit now.

You posted on your regular FB page about Etta. Not sure you wanted it there.

Make sure she hasn't gotten into any poisons or poisonous plants??

Able to pick up 10 min worth of things at the grocery store, take rosie out to forest area to do her business, feed dog and cat, change litter box, print out treatment plan for primary care doc, take rosie out to toilet again via power chair.

That is about it. 9 am and i am done in but good to do a few things thsi am. Also able to fill sink with dishes and hot, sudsy water. CAregiver is washing dishes now and she cooked livers for me.

Had livers and onions for breakfast. Nice to have a hot meal.

i can not even look at the reports about people being flooded out and caught in it. Not good.

Not sure what weather is going to be there week.

It is over cast now. I woke at 3 am last night cold. Able to get up and put my sleeping bag over bed but really drugged still from sleeping pills.

So, need to either close windows tonight before bedtime or put warmer blanket on bed or both.

weahter has been confusing. It was supposed to be hot thsi week but so far not so.

I have been in my lounewear 24/7 for severa ldays now.

I am hoping to take a shower todya nd put clean clothe son.

Before that I was in my pj's 24/7 and put coat over pj's when i went out.

still missing being at the hotel and being able to get dressed each day and put on pj's at night.

also miss being able to function all day long...just a little not a lot...but not like here wehre i need to shut down by 9 am for the rest of the day.

I have hired more help and am making sure I am eating...could use more help but still trying to fugiure out if budget can handle it.

need to wait until that part of the brain si working..as i look at it now..it would take a weeks wroth out of food budget if I did so.

not good.

turning off cable soon to see if that helps.

Also looking for used hospital table so I can put monitor on it and have monitor in front of me instead of off to the side.

Don't have a clue why i did nto think of this the past ? years..since 2001.

And I also eat in bed but not so sure that will help..it will if I am able to sit upright a bit.

... Wal Mart sells a fairly nice folding table for about $15 .. They also have wooden TV trays for about $8. Either one of those would work well for you!!!

Spent a lot of time outside with the kids today. Our school backs up to a creek and a park.

A deer came rushing through the trees, jumped the 10 fence at the baseball field, ran around, and jumped back out.

Kids were amazed.

Walked about 30 minutes today.

One more day of work and then I am sleeping in on Friday!!

Im not sure if its mold or humidity or heat...the sx are the same as kennel cough too but she had her shot and hasnt been with other dogs to catch it for 7 weeks

I think little dogs like her can have breathing problems with heat...but she hasnt so far. Its hot and humid today and machines werent working right last night

Tutu that was a goof up on fb. And i dont know how to edit or pm on there now. When things calm down maybe you can tutor me

some more

Etta hasnt been outside alone cuz i saw her eating way more grass than she has in the past...i had a dispute with one of the neighbor businesses and i was a little worried he might do something nasty so i have kept her on a leash when out with me

Oh shoot Storms. Gotta go

Only 4 more days of May is Lyme Awareness month. I wore PJ's to bed last night. Put coat over pj's to take Rosie out in power chair thsi am for morning toileting. Cool out. Feels good on the brain.

Fed cat and dog. Next get up will be to take excedrin and see if I am able to get dressed. Need to find something to wear around the clock for summer that I can sleep in and also be ok going outside in or running a short errand when able.

More liver and onions today for meals. I did not eat very much yesterday. Need to eat more today. CAn not eat much at one time so need to eat several small bites at a time.

Hoping to take Rosie out to the forest area and cruise around for 5 or 10 min in the power chair on the asphalt this am. That is good medicine and good for the soul.

I started watching Chasing Life on Netflix streaming yesterday while lying in bed. The dizziness I was experieincing for most of May with getting up is not as servere lately. I hope it stays that way.

Not sure what the plan is this am. Need to take excedrin first and see how I do with gettign dressed and getting Rosie and I out for some outdoor time in the forest area.

Thursday-No exercise yet. My ankles are bothering me lately especially my right one. They're swollen too and I'm worried it might be psoriatic arthritis.

Really gonna have to spend some time on Google and try and get a handle on this condition.

Loosing weight would really help me so I'm going to have to make more of an effort.

Pain is a great motivator!

Kayak-OMG! I hope little Etta is going to be ok! Let us know please.

Hiker-Enjoy your first day of sleeping in! I'm sure you've earned it!

Kam-Liver and onions for breakfast? You sound like me. I eat leftovers for breakfast on Saturdays. Usually it's more like brunch time by the time I finally get around to eating. This Saturday-leftover chicken wings! Yum!

BTW, gang, I enjoyed my night out with co-workers. Had some great spicy Thai curry wings and spicy garlic wings and 2 beers!

Have a great day everyone!

Hiker etta was with two chicago dogs 7 weeks ago for 5 days. They didnt act sick and are not sick now

I have been following the dog flu thing. It is close to nh in mass and ny. Im afraid to put her in daycare when i go to doc at end of month

She clearly got sick when air machines broke...got better as soon as i put her in good air

It could have been heat, humidity or too much mold in air

The other thing i have tried to ignor is she is scratcing herself and licking her feet and shaking her head like ears bother her. Also she snaps at me when i pat her...like parts of her skin hurt

Ear fungal infection, licking feet and rash are all mold sx in dogs. Idont see any rash or fungal infection but i wonder if this is just starting

Im going to give her a specialbath like they say on mold site and see if it helps. She hasnt vomited since i fuxed the air

Ok tutu. We ll talk when i get my energy back. I am very heat in tolerant. I have one 10.000 and two 5000 btu acs going plus two dehumidifyers and a fan blowung on me. Im ok but dont want to get up.

House is only 1000 sf and i could be ok in one room but i still need other machines to keep mold fromgrowing. The big ac is new last year and still under warrenty...but isnt working right

Service guy ciming timorriw

Lisa is having a ruff day if anyone knows about bladder or kidney stones maybe they could reply to her recent post about severe back pain

Done--finished year 31 of teaching today. Kids were here half day, so we took them outside again.

Fun to watch them put away their cell phones and just play--basketball, soccer, tag etc.

My grades are done, the room is clean and I am a free woman. [woohoo]

Sleeping in tomorrow if I can.

Usually we are out around June 1sst. We had 3 snow days or we would have been done before Memorial Day.

School starts midAugust (August 17th). We are not a tourist town, so we sort of start when the universities here start.

That's good! We were usually out by Memorial Day or the week before. Never had snow days! One or two ice days though!!

And we usually started in mid-August too ... or the 3rd week of August.

Back before about 1990, it was traditional to begin school after Labor Day.

I was cleaning this morning at 4:30. I couldnt sleep. But yesterday i didnt do much. The heat and humidity really got to me. And i had done a lot the two days before

The weather just said my town had a heat wave-3 days abive 90 and humdity in 70-80s a lot. So i dont feel like such a wimp. I really am heat intolerant...and exercise intilolerant

Even tho i lost about 20 lbs it didnt change that. I will talk to nj doc about that 6/18

Its supposed to cool down a little and guy is coming to fix the bigmachine that isnt working right...so i hope i will get thru the 4 doc appts in 4 weeks and hopefully do some cleaning, organizing and identifying stuff to get rid of

Stuff makes so much work to take care of it. Most of it i keep cuz i think i will need it and not have money to get it. But i have to be bettwr at letting it go

I hope those storms are going to leave you guys alone for awhile. And you will rest and feel better and get to do some fun stuff

Friday-Doing my Friday dance!!! Glad I made it through the week. Sure am beat.

After work the plan is to go to Sam's and pick up mini cukes, apples and salmon burgers. Then meet the hubs at home and take him to make his deposit and gas up the truck. If I can I'd like to do my grocery shopping too but I'll see how I'm holding up.

I'm thinking that by getting off the psoriatic arthritis medicine it's causing a flare in symptoms. Only on it for 2 days but good grief, my joints are hurting that haven't hurt before. Hope I get better.

BTW, Hiker, which tesla wand did you order. I know you got yours off Ebay and I'm looking at one on Amazon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a beautiful day down here today!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I did quite a bit of cleanung and picking up in kit,lr,dr areas

Lost water again so sink is full of stuff...they are giving us new drainage and they keep hitting the water pipe by mistake

Today they were remeasuring and even tho they told me twice they wouldnt bother my flowerbed now theyre not sure

I wanted to take the important -expensive stuff out if they were going to dig it up...but i cant do that with no notice

Etta has been getting extra exercise barking at them and when they finally get it done it should help protect me from.flooding

I feel like i could fall asleep but have to wait for ac repair guy

Yes, if it was an immune suppressing drug, you will have a flare up when going off of it.

Hope you get over the hump soon!

I got up early, grabbed the paper off the porch, ate breakfast and went back to bed until 10:30 A.M. I think I could sleep the whole summer away.

Went to the local nursery and got caught in a downpour-totally soaked. Just grabbed a few milkweed plants.

By the time I got home the rain had stopped, so I went ahead and planted them and dried myself off in the sun.

May walk later if it is not raining, but then again I may just be lazy on my first day off.

Happy dance for Friday for you AK!!

I waited all afternoon for that guy to fix the ac. He was supposed to call half hour before he got here. He never called. His office had closed early so at 5 i went to pick up truck from the mechanic around the corner who was checking it out for me and at 5:05 the ac guy called but i couldnt get to phone

Im.limping bad...plantar facitis pain-i just did too much these last few days. I dont get hurt if i go at my own speed

I called him back three times but no answer

I ATE FRENCH TOAST! I ran out of food...was mad...what a dummy. I ll probably gain all 20 lbs back. Pure emotional eating

I need to calm down and get a handle on my life

The kit, lr,dr looks pretty good and i packed up five totes and labled them with mostly construction stuff that would go in basement if i had a basement and stashed them in the one closet tht isnt finished

I was very sad to realize because of this week of 90 degree weather and high humidity the cat pee smell is back. I didnt smell it for9-10 months. I was ready to finish the closet but now have to rethink that

Theres about 5 things wrong with the truck that i have to try to get them to fix. When i asked the sales man why he lied to me about a recall thing being fixed he said simething like oh that was a poor choice of words

Im so old. I dont like the way the world is changing. I hate marketing lies. I hate the phamaceudical commercials. It seems to.me everything is a big lie and the liers are rewarded for it

So i guess tomorrow i have to talk to an allighnment guy about the noise the tires is making. Everyone i told about itvsaid oh those are great tires...your just not used to truck tires. But i was rught. Simething is going on...so i have to understand it so i can mske the list

I thoght there was a 3 day period thst youcould back out of deal. This contract has it in big letters you cant

So i guess i have to make the best of it but i really dont like the way business ppl are. All shysters.

Some ac s are working and yard guy is supposed to come mondsy and its cooling down and etta stopped throwing up

So there are some positive things

LP-Does your state have a car lemon law or is that federal law. I would threaten to sue the salesguy or report to Better Business Bureau.

It is illegal not to tell the truth about recalls etc. when selling a vehicle.

Sorry this is happening to you.

The dealership is promising to make everything right. They are very proud of their reputation. The warrenty will fix anything needed for inspection....but there are impt expensive things not related to inspwction. Like the tires look great but they are chynky or something and will wear out sooner than they should

I dont know about lemon law

Salesman-a youg guy too-disnt out and out lie. He said there are no recalls on carfax

I found out there was a recall on this car but qhen we looked close it had been fixed with aftermarket parts and the problem was still there:bolt starting to pierce gas tank. It hasnt gotten to metal yet but is ripping up stuff that protects metal

If toyota had done it they would have used toyota parts...so not sure what happwned

I guess carfax and recall info is only as good as what is reported

I wanna go back to bonanza days and just use horses

Raining here again. I should not complain, since Texas and Oklahoma are so flooded.

My neighbor came over to show me his arm. Classic bull's eye rash. Fortunately as soon as he saw it he went to prompt care the nurse practitioner gave him Doxy.

What scares me it that he thinks he got it in his yard. I have not worried too much about my yard as I have never seen a tick. I will be much more careful now. [Mad]

Out comes the DEET whenever I work outside from now on.

Went grocery shopping this morning and made a meatloaf.

Don't have much ambition to do anything today.

Good day to watch a movie. I love track and field, so will watch the Prefontaine Classic this afternoon. Used to run until Lyme came along.

Have a good weekend. [Smile]

Man, I would freak if I had to mow a lawn these days... at least in some states. I hope you do OK with DEET. [Frown]

Enjoy the track and field, hiker!

Kayak .. I hope you get things straightened out with your car. Sometimes the weight gain won't show up until 2 days later... but I bet you are SAFE! [Smile]

I got to see the Osmonds today .. probably my 10th time to see them. I lost count long ago! They are still great entertainers and such nice guys. I had a short conversation with Meryl and Jimmy and got my photo taken with them (again.) [Big Grin]

Hey, why not!?

Oh.. the three that are still doing shows are Jay, Meryl, and Jimmy. Wayne had a brain tumor a few years ago and lost his hearing. They do 200 shows a year.

Did you know that in Europe they were as big as the Beatles were here??

No, not this time. Ten years ago I saw all six Osmonds .. minus Marie.

They are good .. no matter what!

Here is a video of one of the medleys we heard. Someone posted this last October.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP2DUiCDOEQ

About 15+ years ago Alan's sons were performing at the Osmonds' theater as The Second Generation. They were sheer dynamite! OMG! A lady next to me today asked if I had ever seen the Second Generation and I said YES!!!!

Jimmy Osmond told me today that part of the BBC documentary was on You Tube. (I told him I was there in the audience that day and had never seen the documentary.) I've looked tons of times, but I finally found a small piece of it.

This was an awesome day!
