Do you know that zip-lining is more than 100 yrs old? I saw a pic of people zipping in the Austin, Texas area around 1905!

Sixty? I'd never have believed it! Happy Birthday!
I vote no on the Niagra Falls free fall! That's how I feel on a daily basis just having Lyme, so I can't believe that would be any fun!
I vote yes to the zip line! A small group of Lyme patients did it about 10 or so years ago in a foreign country- a beautiful rain forest. But, one had a bit of a problem- won't mention any names, but you both know her.
For some unknown reason it seemed like every tree was out to get her that day. At the end of the trip a banged up beauty she was, poor dear. But a real good sport!
Had that happened to me I believe I'd have cried!!! Ouch, ouch!!
But, it was a lot of fun and worth it, and something to remember. Go for it Maddog!
As Jimmy Buffett says (in one of my favorite songs of the 10,000 songs of his on my "favorites list")...

For milestone birthdays do something big. When I turned the big 5-0 I wanted to go to Hawaii and run down the beach to the theme song from Hawaii 5-0.
I'm dead serious! Don't laugh! Well, I couldn't afford it so I tried to do some favorite things around town.
Went and had a great lunch. Bought me a really unique artist made ring as a memento. Also hit the museum and bought a textile artist small bag. Did this solo and it was so worth it to mark my special b-day.
Have a very wonderful big 6-0 MD, you're worth it!

White water rafting? I had a blast when I did that.
I chose not to go on the hardest rapids or I would have lost my cookies.
Let's us know what you decide so we can pray you live to be 61

All good ideas!!
Lone wolf- good to see you! You said.. "When I turned the big 5-0 I wanted to go to Hawaii and run down the beach to the theme song from Hawaii 5-0."
That is just so much fun to even think about! I love it!
Of course I hit the beach today and the first thing I though of was you being there doing that. I laughed, but when I closed my eyes I could hear the music playing and could see you running toward the water with your shirt in your hand flying up above your head and blowing in the breeze as you ran.
(You had on a bathing suit underneath.)
And no, they haven't made pot legal in my state yet- I just have the ability to picture fun things like that! And you were smiling!

Hi Gang I am still working on it. The zip line cost a bundle and you can't just zip the river you have to do like 8 others it is a cource of zip lines and mabey 4 hours.
Don that looks familiar like a Livery.
I may finally buy insurance for my antique truck so I can drive it on my birthday to Clifton Gorge for hiking. We used to rock climb there.
I was on some fun rapids last weekend in my kayak it was a blast, the river was just below flood stage. It was the Whitewater river.
TC I may go catfishing tomorrow,I keep catching big mouth bass instead of catfish. And trout instead of crappies. Terrible problem, just terrible. HE HE HE HE HE !!!!

Good thing you aren't sitting here Maddog! I'd have had to at least throw a sofa cushion at you for that last comment. HA!
But, you'd be in luck it seems if you were here. I don't have a sofa or a sofa cushion, so my threats are pretty hollow.
Oh, and the Reuben sounds good- with a side of jalapeno poppers!

Checked out those links! Both looked like awesome choices.
I've never heard of Grolsh beer. Kayak posted about Harp beer one time so I went out and tracked one of those down and had one. Enjoy trying different things that everyone posts about.
TC, I checked out that menu too! It's a toss up between the Rueben and Fish Sandwich for me.

Thanks everyone I went cruising in the antique truck to Clifton gorge, it is beautiful there the river was rumbling through the narrows, I love that!
On the menue at the old trail tavern was a fried green tomatoe bacon and tomatoe sandwich . I got one and onion rings. They burned the bacon really screwed it up and they didn't salt anything.
The salt shakers on the tables were plugged up I had to bang it on the table then unscrew the cap to get any salt.
The Grolsh beer was great the food was terrible.
Mom ask why didn't you send the burnt sandwich back.
Well complain to the cook and they will probably spit on your new sandwich.
I never complain I just do not go back!!!!
