I have had the craziest experiences with animals in my life. I bet it would make a great book: moose, deer, raccoin, foxes, skunks, woodchucks, and a big snake in the house...l could get rich and open a place for us all to get better...and it would be fun writing it!

I've had several interesting incidents with snakes. They seem to love me.

I've always wanted to write children's books .. but illustrating one is another story!

Here's one for the book. This rather ups the ante from the service / therapy pot belly pig on a plane months ago.

Video really helps put this into perspective. It was not in a cage, mind you.

[A really big & dangerous] Snake brought into restaurant rattles nerves

By Andreas Preuss - CNN - August 16, 2015

Excerpts:

. . . was brought into an eatery in Nixa, Missouri, this week . . . the couple insisted the snake was a service animal and the restaurant should allow it to stay. . . .

. . . [whew!] . . . The snake may have had a calming effect on the couple, but by no means can it legally be deemed a service animal.

The Americans with Disabilities Act states "only dogs are recognized as service animals."

And if [poster's interjection here: IF, they say, IF?!] the snake posed a concern for public safety, then patrons could have notified police or animal control, according to Nixa city's communications director, Jill Finney. . . .

[Actually, in the video, her voice did not emphasis the "if" but in print it just looks like it must meet that criteria as if any snake in a café would not pose a risk, eh?

She did emphasis if this or something similar happens to others, and the café owner does not act, the local authorities can be called by a patron.]

That's not far from us. So stupid. I saw a snake wrapped around someone's neck in a pet store and it was creepy looking. Gross, actually.

But in a restaurant?? They can carry salmonella and other stuff.

aren't monkeys service animals? or whatever primate helps people in wheelchairs, etc...

that is funny about other stories.

I have some good ideas for kids books and I am an artist, but I still have trouble getting that ball rolling.

anyone know how to actually DO the process?
