Thanks - I missed it too, due to the flu that was going around - will be making up for it re people and food!
I'm grateful to you for having this idea! It's good to be positive about some things in life. I'm grateful for this community. I'm grateful for anytime I get to function well enough to do what I want to do for the day!
Also, for anyone who has the time and inclination, I'm extremely grateful this weekend to be able to watch this amazing 9-part online health series on curing cancer naturally that's showing for free through Monday.

So what do you want? Heat when it is cold, or food over the holidays? I made the mistake of plugging in a heater in the kitchen thinking that was a nice way to keep warm. NOT!
It blew the circuit breaker or something and it won't work by flipping it back in place. And that was the ONLY good plug that was able to run the microwave and/or hot plate, not at the same time though. (I don't have a stove anymore.)
Oh, and you know how many electricians want to come out to fix it the day before Thanksgiving? Take a guess!
So my Thanksgiving meal was cold sauerkraut- ate a full plate of it- in a cold kitchen. I did have some yogurt for breakfast though cause it didn't need to be cooked. Couldn't nuke or cook the sweet potato, or the frozen veggies I got for the day either, or anything else!
Tonight I bought a cooked BBQ chicken at Walmart- if you go after business hours they are reduced to $2.49, great deal especially at the end of the month. I can't even cook a can of soup, so I have been eating cold food out of cans all weekend. How pitiful am I? HA!
Oh, and did I mention my saving grace? The peanut butter, AND no cooking required? But once I found it I had to ask...
How can ants get inside a peanut butter jar? So that was a no-go, but I ate the rest of the jelly in the bottom of that jar so got in my "sweets" for the day.
Hoping you both are feeling MUCH better soon! I am thankful for so many many things, too numerous to mention! But, as they come to mind I smile.

Oh my gosh - well, you could have had ant-ipasto...
I don't know which was worse - not being able to eat, as I was, or being able to and what you went through! I think you should get some real TG food next month, as I'm going to do next week. I know just the deli I'm going to...
There's one cold TG food that is possible to handle, and that's cranberry sauce in a can - not homemade or storebought, but still nicely edible.
Hope someone comes out to fix your heat soon!

Ok - here's another thing I am grateful for re this past month - the Paris situation was horrible and I was really bummed out.
Then Brussels got put under lockdown the next weekend and everyone was told not to use social media so as not to give away any info about what was happening in the streets.
So one person on Twitter said that as long as they couldn't talk about anything, here's a picture of my cat!
Well, that took off - I don't know if you all were aware of the intense humor that followed, as everyone started posting pictures of their cats, just as cats, as cats going through a lockdown, as cats fighting terrorism - it was the funniest thing I've seen on social media in a looooong time!
The police even thanked everyone by posting a picture of a bowl of police kibbles for all the cats!
Google for #brusselslockdown to look through the zany cat creativity.

That cat stuff is funny! My favorite is the Star Wars cats, but I didn't look for long.
In fact, looking at the cats answered one of those age-old questions for me. YES!
I've always wondered why God kept me going through the darkest and sickest days, some of those days were days no human should have to endure- actually many days were like that.
I knew by keeping me alive HE had something special planned, but didn't know what.
NOW I know!
HE knew they were going to make another Star Wars movie and he wanted me to be around to see it!
You know, in the crazy world we live in that is a good enough reason for me.

And YES, cranberry sauce in a can- good stuff. Never bought any this year- well actually I did, but like you I can eat it any old time. And I did! A couple months before TG. Forgot to re-stock!
