Thanks for starting the thread, Lymetoo. Enjoy your nap and the show.

Cool and windy here. Since Alex can't mow until midweek when it is going to be rainy, I decided to mow today.

Whew--Took almost 2 hours to pick up sticks, mow, trim and then trim back a few bushes and my yuccas.

I feel be feeling it tomorrow for sure.

Doing a load of laundry now and heading to the couch.

Sunday-Thanks TuTu for getting us started this week. Only exercise today was cooking and doing dishes.

Well....I dusted off a dress and went to church today by myself. First time I've gone back on my own since 2010.

Hoping to make some positive changes in my life.

Hiker-That's some serious yard work! Once I get to the couch stage I'm done for the day. How about you?

Well, it's 3:05 in the morning and I'm hitting the hay. Hope to make Zumba tomorrow at 11:30.

See you wonderful folks tomorrow!

lp--missed hearing from you yesterday.

Ak--how do you stay up so late and function? I am in bed between 9 and 9:30 P.M.

Exercised my fingers today grading papers and typing grades into the grade book. Need to get my classroom cleaned up extra well as there is summer school in there this year. Normally I just leave a bunch of items on the bulletin board and posters on the walls, but not this year.

Sadly, rain is predicted for the next 2 days and we have wonderful outdoor activities planned for the kids. We can still do a lot of the activities inside, but then the stimuli of the noise really gets to me.

Off to get the trash can out to the curb.

Got my haircut today and made a quick trip to the store. Just finished cooking a whole chicken in my Instant Pot.

Now getting ready to fix dinner for hubby. I've had enough to eat already!

It's a beautiful sunny day .. 73 degrees. The Spurs play tonight but it won't be the same.

AK .. Hope you made it to Zumba. Take care of yourself!

Hiker.. I always loved field days at school.. I hope you get to do some things outside

We ALWAYS had to strip our rooms .. mainly because sometimes we had to move rooms or someone might take another job elsewhere, etc. So we always had to strip them to the bare walls.

I talked to kayak today.. She's just resting up from all the yard sale stuff.

Monday-Zumba and my old ab DVD. Washed my bedding so I'm ready for serious down time. Also won't be juicing for my self imposed fast after surgery. To much work right after surgery. Bought herbal detox pills, spirulina, and chlorophyll. Activated charcoal for after my fast.

So bought organic liquid veggie soup and chicken broth instead of doing juices. Will water down the veggie soup.

That's my plan.....

Hiker-I wish I could sleep. I think I'm having problems sleeping because of MCAD, upcoming divorce, surgery and having to go back to work. That's one of the main reasons I'm fasting after surgery. I need to boost my health in a big way and am hoping it'll work.

TuTu-Thanks for the update on Kayak, glad she's resting. I need a haircut too! Mine is getting so unruly and curly. If I keep it short it won't look so curly, curls in all the wrong ways.

Josh called me tonight for a pre-surgery pep talk. He's going to meet us either at the eye clinic or the house after surgery. He wants to make sure I'm ok. I am so blessed with such a caring nephew!

I'll post as soon as I can after surgery, might not be until Wednesday.

See you all soon!

Tuesday-Ab DVD and my 10 minutes each on rower, stepper and treadmill. Thigh and some arm workout too.

Won't be able to exercise for quite awhile after surgery so wanted to get some exercise in.

My face is really red so I think my MCAD is flaring from stress. Hope it's not a concern for surgeon.

Thank you guys for the prayers, I need them.

See you all later!

Got my exercise at school today. Talent show in the morning and fun activities like jenga, cup stacking, bags etc. in various classrooms. Had to be inside due to rain.

Tomorrow all of the 7th graders are going bowling. Hoping for nice weather as the place also has outside volleyball and miniature golf. I can't handle the noise stimuli. Today about did me in.

I have a woman here now measuring to replace all the blinds downstairs--going with wider binds but faux wood (makes it lighter and cheaper than real wood). I have 7 windows that need new blinds. Gulp!

I do love my blinds upstairs that are real wood, but am not spending that much money for my basement.

Sorry to hear that you guys DID get rain all day. Bummer! Hope you don't get overloaded with noise tomorrow.

I've considered buying the faux wood blinds but I'm worried about the off-gassing. Let me know how bad it is.

We are leasing, but I was thinking about asking our landlord to change them out. They could take it out of our rent for one month??

Hope AK is OK ...

I have a lot of muscle pain today .. mostly my right shoulder. UGH.. I think it's from oxalates. Sigh.

Tutu--I probably won't notice much off gassing from new blinds because they will be in the basement and I don't spend a lot of time down there. I will get them in 3-4 weeks.

When I had new carpet put in 3 years ago I had no problems with off gassing and was surprised.

Howdy. Sorry I haven't been around. Days and nites have been a blur. My health ins copays doubled Jan 1 and I had so many bills it motivated me to clean out last storage and have a 3 day Yard sale

This is my 3rd day recuperating but I am still tuckered out. Yesterday Etta got h we hair cut and we spent 6 hrs at beach. Perfect day. Really good air. Really good for me

On the way home I bought annuals to make hanging baskets. Red salvia white petunias and blue lobelia

All day I told myself "no annuals...no money!" but I stopped anyway...

I'm waiting for my supps to kick in. Really sore...esp arms and shoulders. I'm waiting for big truck to deliver windows too

I have one more hour then need to get dressed for gi doc. Last check up for diverticulitis. I think I'm ok. I ate coleslaw yesterday and an apple this morning. Raw foods are last to get back on

Sure hope a k is doing ok and will check in

Hiker the rain has been a little too much here too. I'm sure glad I'm not entertaining 7th graders. It was a 76th grader who knocked me out and gave me early retirement. A girl. She was being silly. But it sure changed my life.

Tutu h@ve fun tonight

A k ....where are you?

I think I'll be making an emergency trip to the nearby state to see my dentist. I have a bad tooth that he thought we could just "watch."

I will NOT do a root canal and this is a tooth with a crown. I don't remember exactly what he said about it several weeks ago.

dang... Hubby will be busy all day so I have to find a friend to take me. My best friend MAY be able to. I'm waiting on the call back.

What a bummer, Tutu, about your tooth.

Weather stayed nice enough to be outside today. As soon as school was over it poured.

One more day!!!

Hiker .. I'm so happy the rain held off!! One more day!! Woot woot!!

Well...so I'm headed to the dentist in the morning. It will be an all day affair. I really needed to see my acupuncturist tomorrow.. but hoping to see him on Friday. I'm in pain .. mostly in my shoulders.

I owe my friend big time. She just took me out to eat yesterday. So I will take her out tomorrow. We should have a good time, all things considered.

I heard from AK .. She said she is OK, but has blurry vision and is reacting to the pain meds. Hope she feels much better very soon!!

Kayak is "around" too. [Smile]

Vision is not as blurry so here I am!

Surgery was painful. They said it would be like getting a tooth pulled. Yeah...from your eyeball! Won't go into details but thank God for pain pills.

Thank you all for the prayers. My doc prayed before surgery too.

Bye for now!

MADDOG--too funny! But you didn't report your exercise

AK--Glad you got through the surgery. You are brave. I hate basic eye exams.

Year 33 of teaching is in the history books! [woohoo] Happy to be done. Sad to see some teachers retire that started with me.

Went to grocery store. Got home and realized I left a bag in the bottom shelf of cart and had to go back.

Spent some time making phone calls to MD's for mom. Not making much progress. She had blood tests May 16 and they have not given her the results. Her blood sugar has been running high. I am her proxy and they would not give me the results which is very unusual.

She is losing weight like crazy. She doesn't get results until June 27 or when I walk in the door to their office next Tuesday!!!

I am celebrating the start of my summer with a gluten free pizza. 55 cents because I have a coupon.

I'm glad you made it thru hiker and are celebrating. It sounds like you might have a lot to do this summer tho.

A k so sorry for your pain. I guess it's good its over with

And I'm confused about tutu. Did she have tooth pulled today? Or will it be tomorrow?

I didn't accomplish much today. Some dishes and one load laundry quick trip to little grocery and packed up free stuff left from yard sale and tossed it

I wanted to pick up messes inside house that are left from yard sale but I gave in and let myself play in gardens. I had to move some asters that keep coming up next to foundation where they shouldn't be.

I found 5 other places to put them.

Something new and odd is happening to me. I have burning skin but it is not like when I have mcad reaction. First I began feeling it in my toes and I wondered if it was nerve problem from Lyme or like ppl with diabetes get...I don't have high sugar...but I do have high cholesterol and possibly new high bp. But now I'm feeling the burning in skin creases and I still have thrush or something in my mouth...so maybe I am getting systemic Candida?...all thru Lyme tx I didn't get Candida. This seems crazy

I'm sorry we are all dealing with boo boos. Lets get better fast! Hikers mom too.

Oh yeah. I got yelled at on the masto site. I corrected someone who said LYMES disease. I guess I shouldn't have. I didn't think I did it in a rude way. And someone else on there thanked me for links. Anyway. I probably would have deleted my post but I was tired and it helped at least one person. I think I just won't go back there. Whatever.

Friday-Day 3 of my fast and doing OK. Juicing in the a.m. then water, herbal teas, chicken and vegetable broths off and on throughout the day. Oh have coconut water for a special treat. Doing detox, chlorophyll and spirulina plus regular meds and pain pills.

MD-Catch some fish for me too!

Hiker-Give them heck on Tuesday! Hope your Mom is OK.

And say what!?! A 55¢ GF pizza! Sounds like an incredible deal. Enjoy!

Kayak-I've yet to post on MCAD on Facebook. Like to read it though. Hope you find out what's going on with your skin.

Pain pills kicking in...nap time.

Ak--nap time for me in a few minutes, too.

I got up early to call radiology to make sure my mom was going to the right building. They had given her the incorrect place, so I had to call her and the person giving her a ride to get her to the correct spot.

Then I called my ob/gyn to get blood tests ordered before my exam. The nurse could not find me in the system. She asked the other nurses and they assured her I had been going there for years, so she said she would fax the order for the tests.

I will definitely call the lab next week before I go to make sure they have the order. So much incompetence in our medical system.

I swept out the garage, vacuumed the car, and zipped to the grocery store and library.

Weeded some, but then it started to rain.

Tutu--How was the dentist?

Hiker .. I'm happy that school is over for the summer... YOu and my sister in law are in the same boat. She is still dealing with my father in law. He was moved to a new hospital and I hope they can help him.

Maybe I can tell you more later, but for now... Yes, I had a tooth pulled yesterday. I had about 45 minutes to decide between a root canal and pulling it.

Decided to pull it. It was pretty traumatic (so I totally understand AK here!!) .. IT took him 15-20 minutes to pull it. I was there 3 hours that afternoon while he tried 5-6 shots to deaden it and then all the wait time in between. Sheesh.

By the time it was done, I was shaking all over. MY heart was doing flip-flops the whole time he was pulling on the tooth.

Thank goodness my best friend was able to take me. I could not have driven home.

Had nausea last night and plenty of pain (No pain pills) .. but today was OK. Just very tired.

Hubby took me for acupuncture in the city this morning.

Need to get off of here and rest my shoulders.

Kayak .. are you still taking the Diflucan?

Ugh! Tutu--I can't imagine having a tooth pulled. I am a wimp when it comes to dentists. Hate to even have my teeth cleaned although I do it 2x a year.

Nice day out today. Walked 22 minutes. First walk in ages. Did laundry and other chores.

Filled out the application for the Mennonite Community Condos. I filled one out several years ago, but apparently they lost it. That means I am even lower on the list now. And since I am not Mennonite I am the "lowest of the low." Still, it's worth a shot.

Heading home to see my folks tomorrow. Dreading the conflict that will arise when I make suggestions on helping Mom more with her healthcare. Hopefully, I can pick a time when we are all calm and I have a lot of patience stored up. Say a prayer, please.

Off to conjure up some dinner.

Prayers for all three of you, hiker!!

Let's just say that if you ever need a root canal you better be sedated. I should have taken Ativan but I was afraid because it had made my heart feel "squeezed" the last time I took it about a month ago.

That happened several times. Turns out, the problem must have been when combining it with Ambien. It actually may be the Ambien that is the problem.

When I took Ativan yesterday, all I got was relief.

We are expecting more storms tonight. Had a strong one last night but nothing scary. There are scary ones right now near Joplin, but I'm not sure they will make it here.

Hail, high winds and tornadoes could occur.

Saturday-Juiced for me and Mom then made her a brunch of bruscetta. Not much else, just folded some clothes and did some dishes.

My S I joints have flared up badly from having to sleep inclined. Been wearing a back brace since last night.

Hiker-I need to squeeze in a gyn appt also before insurance lapses. Today was beautiful here and wished I could have went for a walk too. Hope your visit with your folks goes well.

TuTu-I had the shakes to during and after my surgery. I bet you're glad to have that tooth taken care of. You can take ambien? I had some pretty bad memory lapses while taking it.

Anyways gang, trying to find something to watch on TV so see you all tomorrow!
