Hello,

I was diagnosed with lyme back in 2015 after about three months of being pretty sick. I went on doxy for about a month but still felt sick, I found a specific lyme doctor because I live in the South and they are clueless about it here. I am from New England and that's where I contracted it.

Looking back, I should've known right away but I have scleroderma so I assumed it was something related to that.

I found a doctor in Ohio and she put me on so many supplements and anti-biotics it was hard to adjust to all of the herxing. I followed this treatment for about one year then I needed a break. I found after about a year and a half I was getting headaches every day with extreme fatigue. I again, assumed it was my auto immune issues, but I don't think so.

I went back to my lyme doc the other day, she ordered all new blood work, put me on the regimen of anti-biotics/supplements again and I will see her again in March.

My main issues right now are: headaches, fatigue, brain fog and joint pain.

What have the best treatments been for you?

Everyone is different in terms of treatments.

I used photon therapy and energy healing.

Detox is a huge part of getting well.

Welcome and may you feel better soon.

We're all different re what we respond to. I do very well with a very simple remedy - I take a 00-size capsule of turmeric in the am and pm and that greatly takes down muscle and joint pain.

I had thyroid bloodtests and tested hypothyroid, so went on Armour thyroid and that ended brain fog for me - felt totally present again. So you could have your thyroid levels checked.

I took a form of pollen many years ago and that stopped fatigue for me. We all need magnesium supplementation for energy.

Never had bad headaches. I also understand the co-infection ehrlichia can cause headaches. It's important to know if we have other co-infections, like that one, or babesia and bartonella. Babesia can cause fatigue.

Part of treating is knowing what it is we're treating, so want to bring up the co-infections question with you as well, as in have you been tested for them or checked their symptoms out to see whether you think you match any of that.

My doctor tested me back in 2015 and I can't remember how my thyroid levels looked. She just did a whole panel again and we are going to go over it in March.

She told me I had bartonella but I don't recall her telling me about babesia. We are working on co-infections right now. She wanted to clean my gut and I am on a bunch of supplements.

At any rate, I just started my biaxin this morning, I was on this one as well as doxy and bactrim for about a year before.

All of my supplements:

Nature's Sunshine - Bowel detox, Urninary detox, Lymphomax, and Proactazyme.

Juice Plus both fruit and veggies.

Florastor and VSL #3

Plaquinel (I was already on this one for scleroderma)

Cytoquel from Researched Nutritonials
