Starting off another week of getting of the couch or out of the recliner and moving!

Anything counts as exercise on this thread! Cooking, cleaning, crafts, repair work, yard work, walking, running, kayaking, weight training, you name it!

Here we go!!!!

TuTu-That was very sweet what you did for your friend at her service! Also be careful of that ice! I used to wear these little rubber things that fit on the bottom of my shoes that had little spike/gripper things. My old church parking lot in AK was an ice skating rink!

Well, so far I've done my pelvic floor exercises, juiced and made Mom breakfast.

Tonight Josh is coming for dinner so I'm just throwing a Stouffer's lasagna in the toaster oven, making a salad and garlic bread. An easy peasy dinner!

Looking forward to the eclipse tonight!

AK-Thank for starting us off this week.

I swear by my yak trax that fit over my shoes in order to walk on snow and ice. Have a pair at home and a pair in the car. They have rubber and metal coils that grip the ice. Sure needed them this morning.

Shoveled where snow had blown on porch and sidewalk as well as where plow put snow in front of drive and mailbox. Shoulder will pay for that but not enough to ask my neighbor for help.

Have done one round of PT exercises. Will do another round this afternoon.

Praying for clear skies for eclipse. Starting to cloud up here. Back later.

Thanks, AK. I loved doing it for her.

We have some of those things for the shoes .. somewhere. I saw one or two of them in the garage recently. Sure would be nice to find them.

I bought them several years ago .. hubby was not impressed.

I stayed home from church today. I was afraid it would be too icy on the roads and I just couldn't do it. Turns out it was pretty good, according to the hubs.

Now we have sunshine!

I spent all morning washing sheets and cleaning the bathrooms and the kitchen.

I may venture out to the store soon.

Did my second round of PT exercises. Shoulder very sore again.

Tutu--I did not go to church, either. The parking lot and street is always icy.

Doing some laundry today.

Lp--looks like you are getting a winter storm. We are supposed to get freezing rain Tuesday and more snow later in the week. Of course, I have PT to go to on Tuesday.

Enjoy the Super Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse. (full eclipse is 10:40 CST and 11:40 EST. Full part will last for an hour but you can see partial starting at 9:40 CST or 10:40 EST) Not another one like this until 2021.

LP--Missing you here.

Shivered in the cold last night to watch the eclipse. Well worth the chill for the view.

Slept like a rock and decided the dreary cold day was a good day to stay inside.

Did my 2 rounds of PT shoulder exercises.

Am immersed in a good book.

Errands today, pelvic floor exercises, juicing and prepping some veggies for my last week of fasting. My last day is Thursday making it 21 days. Friday is my BDay and will try to eat a salad when we go out to dinner. Breaking a long fast isn't going to be easy.

I've never faster this long before and thought I was getting dehydrated because my mouth is so dry. Found out on various web sites that salivary glands, stomach and colon kinda go to sleep. Makes sense.

Hiker-I sure enjoyed myself at the local science center viewing the awesome Wolf moon through the telescopes. Can't believe Josh didn't want to go but it was cold, in the 20's, and he didn't have a hat or gloves.

TuTu-Hope you can find the shoe thingies. You've been busting butt around the house today! Be careful out there!

Well, I'm pooped and probably headed for bed. Night all!

[sleepy]

Freezing rain this morning. My driveway is an ice rink. Think I will have to drive down driveway to get mail out of box. Lol

My BFF has a snow day from teaching. She drove me to PT so I wouldn’t have to navigate ice on parking lot. So kind.

PT worked me hard. Added a few new shoulder exercises. He also gave me a few exercises for my knee. I appreciate that. I know he will keep adding and soon my whole day will be PT. [Big Grin]

Cancelled my haircut due to ice. Will go next week. Definitely winter. Have a great evening.

I made it to the gym and did an easy 15 minutes on the elliptical and walked for 5 after. Then I blissed out in the sauna for 15.

Couple of errands after that and just staying home and relaxing.

Hiker-How wonderful of your friend. Bet it made up for the additional exercises. Is your shoulder feeling better?

Hope K and T are OK.

Well...off to veg!

Did my two rounds of PT for shoulder and knee.

My BFF stopped by with ice melt. Her country school was let out early due to weather and she stopped by Farm and Fleet on the way home. She said school buses slid off the road getting to school. Flat prairie means blowing snow which turns icy.

Going into the deep freeze tomorrow night with subzero temps and 40 mph winds.

At least the ice is off my driveway and I should be able to manage the parking lot at PT tomorrow.

Spent time on Bible study this afternoon.

Off to read and then fix dinner.

Tutu and Lp--you both okay?

Yeah, just busy. I'm here!

Went to meet a Lyme friend who used to frequent this place. She lives about 2 hours from me and we met up this morning.

We went to a museum here. It was my first time there and it was pretty interesting. We shared a wheelchair so we could sit now and then.

Then I had lunch with friends from the condos. It was fun. We sat there for 3 hours talking!! We joked that we should have just had supper there too. Go back for seconds!

Hiker .. Sorry it's so cold and windy there. Sounds awful. It's very cold here, but tolerable. REALLY cold early next week, so brace yourself!!

I got all the Christmas stuff packed up on Monday and then we couldn't get one of the trees taken apart. Weirdest thing!! So I ordered a bag off of Amazon and it came right before I left this morning. Hoping to get that done tonight and everything out to the garage.

AT least it's not February yet! LOL

We had a horrible tragedy here .. it actually happened in another state, but a local family of entertainers (six young children) lost their father in some kind of incident or accident.

We haven't heard yet what exactly happened, but two of the children watched their father die. This family has performed at our church for the past 6-7 years so we have watched them grow up.

It is SO heartbreaking!

AK .. You are inspiring me to get back to cardiac rehab. I'm not sure how much I can do, but I sure need to try.

I'm not being very good about my exercises for my hip. I need to step it up!! (like hiker is!)

Tomorrow I'm headed to the city for acupuncture again unless I get too lazy. I also have a meet a friend from TX whose daughter lived here for awhile. They sold the house and are moving out.

So she asked to meet up one last time. (I have to be back by lunch time)

Hi everyone! No exercise today but did run errands. Managed to stop at a thrift store and found a cute gray and white striped turtleneck, a black velour front zip jacket and a straw hat all for under $11. Now that's my kinda shopping!

Hiker-Bundle up! That's cold! It's been in the high 60's here with temps dropping the next few days. Our trees still have most of their leaves. It's so weird!

TuTu-Made me smile about getting your Christmas stuff put away before February. Glad to hear you're getting inspired. That's what I like about this thread. You guys inspire me every time I'm here. Very sorry for the family that lost a father. I'll be praying for them.

Well....off to bed!

Went to physical therapy this morning. Then did one more round of exercises this afternoon.

Went grocery shopping.

Did a tiny bit of tax work. Don't have most of my info to input, yet.

Coldest night of the year--wind chill advisory in effect. But more snow is on the way Sunday and Monday--up to 10 inches on top of what we already have.

Snow plow came around to dump salt on the cul-de sac where I live. Solid ice, but at least my driveway is not slippery.

Ak--sounds like a good deal on clothes!

Tutu--hope you got to meet up with your friend.

Hi everyone! Made it to the gym and did 20 minutes on the elliptical and walked for 10 minutes. Spent 15 glorious minutes in the sauna.

Then me and Mom went grocery shopping. I bought blueberries and fresh salad and veggies to eat starting tomorrow. Coming off my 21 day fast! Wish me luck!

Hiker-Ugh! I hate icy roads! There was one stop sign in AK by my old apartment that no matter how hard I tried, I'd slide past it. They even put pea gravel down. I had studded tires and a 4-wheel drive pickup but I sure couldn't stop there. Be careful!

Well, off to watch Waiting to Exhale.

Happy happy birthday, AK! [Smile]

Sunny and chilly this morning when I went to the library. Swept ice melt off porch and sidewalk. Felt good to be outside even though cold.

Now, it is snowing again.

Did my 2 rounds of physical therapy exercises.

Made a meatloaf. Am going to read and veg out.

Thank you Hiker!

I've been cooking today also. Made salad and a big pot of vegetable soup for the week so I don't have to worry about what I'm going to eat while my stomach gets used to food again.

Getting up at 7:00 to take Mom and her BFF to a cultural group meeting in Atlanta. I'll drop them off and shop around til they're finished.

It's gonna be a long day!

Night everyone!

Hey, gang!!

AK .. I hope your day was fabulous!!

I've still been working on getting everything put back around here. Details, details!! Still recycling and taking things to thrift shops too.

The weather is gorgeous today .. getting ready for the cold and snow next week. Nothing like what hiker and LP are getting.

Shoveled a few inches of snow off drive and walk this morning. It was light and fluffy, so despite my shoulder I went ahead and did it myself. Used my leaf blower for part of it.

My shoulder regrets this already. [bonk]

Did my therapy exercises twice. Am tuckered out.

Snowing again, so may have to go back out later tonight or tomorrow morning, but supposed to have a mix of freezing rain and snow tomorrow night and Monday. Then the deep freeze with wind.

Watched Illini basketball. They actually won, which this year is unusual. My dad was thrilled.

Need to go to recycling, but too slick to walk in that parking lot. My neighbor slid over to my house this morning to clean off my T.V. dish.

Time for reading. Maybe a cheesy Hallmark flick tonight.

Wow. Its been awhile. This print is so tiny I can’t see it and I can’t change it

I’m exhausted. Really haven’t ngbtrouble just doing the basics. Then van broke again. And they are just screwing around with me and tthere is nothing. Can do. Transmission fluid leaks. They fix it for awhile. Then it leaks again. It smells bad inside car. Very stressful. I need a reliable car

For 2 days I’ve been talking to dealers. I can’t brlieve how bad it has gotten. Out right lies. And other crazy stuff.

I went back to local dealer I like and I feel safer there. But the little cheaper cars are really hard for me to get into. And the next size up gets expensive so idk what I will do

I have been going thru I’veand days of minus 20 with windchill. I can’t use the tray things cuz of my hands. I’ve been putting down sand so Etta and I drag it into house. And it hurts drive but I can’t get trash out without working on drive

HAPPY BIRTHDAY A K !!!!! I saw that in group text and met to get back there. But didn’t.

I have more to say but my eyes are closing.
