Are you lifting weights, walking, shoveling, sledding, cleaning etc. Tell us about your exercise this week.
Does shivering count as exercise?
lp--Read that you were still clearing your drive of snow/ice. That is hard work. Sorry to hear about your car. They shouldn't charge you to fix it again.
Ak--How was Atlanta?
Did my PT exercises twice today and took my recycling to the closest center with bins. Still icy out.

Thanks for getting us going Hiker! Atlanta was exhausting so I came home and crashed. I shopped while my Mom and her BFF were at a cultural luncheon and meeting.
I've been vegging all day and enjoying every lazy minute.
You guys be careful with all that slipping and sliding because of the snow and ice!
Off to watch Netflix!

Where is everybody?? I didn't sleep well last night, so I came home from church and lunch today and slept 4 hours without moving. Just zonked out.
Now I'll probably be awake tonight. ERRGGHH
LP ..Very sorry to hear about your car. It would be cheaper to take it to a real mechanic and pay out of pocket to get it fixed than to start all over again.
Buying a new car (or used) always costs us a lot out of pocket.
I think our weather will be better this week than previously predicted. We'll see. Hope all of you can survive it.
I hope to do more moving around this week. Not sure how much I can do at cardiac rehab that won't aggravate my hips. We'll see. They have probably forgotten about me by now.
AK .. Still celebrating??
Signing out ... Take care, everyone!

Chipped away at some ice on porch and sidewalk today. Hard to open garage door due to freezing.
Car started but was cranky and it isn't even below zero, yet.
Did my 2 rounds of PT exercises. Shoulder is killing me.
So hard to take off a turtleneck or sweatshirt which is what I live in these days.
As usual very windy here. Had some freezing rain and snow today.
Tomorrow windy again with lows tomorrow night of -20 (without wind chill) Am hoping roads are good enough to get to PT tomorrow.
Off to veg out.

Couple of errands this morning then I made it to the gym.
20 minutes on the elliptical, 5 minutes or rowing, 5 minutes of walking and 15 minutes in the sauna.
Now I'm like you Hiker, vegging!
Take care of that shoulder Hiker. Can't believe it's gonna be -20 there! I remember I tore a groin muscle hiking in 0 degrees before. Cold makes us prone to more injuries. Be careful!
Didn't it feel wonderful to take a long nap TuTu! I usually can't nap and when I do, I'm pleasantly surprised. Hear you guys are getting bad weather soon so batten down the hatches! Take care!
Well, back to watching Kids Baking Championship on Food Network.

Went to physical therapy. Therapist said beginning next week I can only have to come once a week. Still have to go Thurs. this week.
So, I did my therapy exercises.
Went to functional chiropractor. Working on sinuses and large intestine. Don't always understand why he has me take certain supplements or raise or lower the dose, but he is helping.
Hair stylist called to cancel tomorrow. She thought wind chills of -45 are too cold for most of her clients (her salon is in a retirement home and a lot of elderly people who don't live there come)
Praying furnace stays on, electricity stays on, and pipes do not freeze. Actual temp. will be -22 tonight and then factor in wind chill. Brr.
Worked a little more on taxes.
Off to think about dinner. Missed lunch as my appointments were so close together.

Good job, AK!! I've been washing about 2 loads a day this week. I think I did 3 on Monday and two today.
We are getting snow north of us and it may actually make it down here. They said it's REALLY dry snow and will make driving very dangerous, so about 70 schools have already closed for tomorrow.
We will probably be inside all day on Wednesday.
Now we need to hear from LP!

Got up at 7:30. Minus 20 without the wind chill.
Minus 49 with wind chill. Didn't think to cover my outside spigots. Hope those pipes don't freeze.

Going to be -25 tonight. Ugh.
US Mail not delivered today. First time that has happened due to the cold around here.
Actually I didn't sleep well last night because I was too hot. I upped the head, so the pipes wouldn't freeze. Normally I turn it down at night to 60 or 62 and have it at 68 during the day. Am keeping it at 70 until Thursday night.
Did my two rounds of PT.
Am watching TV and reading. Total couch potato.

Glad to hear it's a tiny bit warmer. lol .. waiting for the week-end, right?
Surprisingly, we had a bit of sleet this afternoon. No worries since it was 37 degrees.
Tired of winter, hiker .. One more month to go??
I finally went to cardiac rehab today. It was so nice of everyone to say they missed me!! I actually got a tad anxious before going in. I was afraid half the people would be new.
I saw all of the "old gang." Only about 4-5 new people. I managed to do 5 minutes on the NuStep, but the ergometer bike didn't go well. I made it through 2 minutes.
That's the one I used to do 35-40 minutes on.
I also walked 10 laps and did exercises for my legs and ankles.
I still plan to do some hip exercises tonight.
LP .. Tell us more about the car. I hope you did OK with it.
AK .. where is ya?
Who else is here?

Hi everyone! Made it to the gym! Walked before and after exercise and managed 20 minutes of low intensity on the elliptical and rower. 15 minutes in the soothing sauna to recover.
Hiker-Can't believe how cold it is there! 60-62 is cold inside too! Do you have an electric blanket? We finally turned our heat to 69. We toughed it out at 68 and that one degree made a big difference.
TuTu-Don't feel bad about the exercise. It's hard to get back into the old routine. I'm taking it pretty easy myself. We'll get there!
See you all tomorrow!

Ak and Tutu--Way to go on the exercise. Better to start slow and keep going than to overdo.
Speaking of overdoing. Woke up early and shoveled thefluffy snow off the walk and drive before 6:00 A.M. My shoulder will pay--saving heavier snows for my neighbor.
Did my 2 rounds of PT exercises.
Went to the library and bank. Then stopped by church.
Am very toxic. Energy healing this week killed off some germs in GI tract and sinuses. Haven't felt this toxic in a few weeks, but will get through it as usual.
I woke up too early, then went down to get my fasting blood work for the cardiologist.
Ran to the grocery store real quick and then came home to take meds and eat. Fixed hubby something and then I crashed. I slept almost 3 hours.
I should still be able to sleep since that was early in the day.
Still need to do my exercises today.

Tried a PiYo class at the gym today. It's a combination of pilates and yoga.
It was way to hard for me!
Instructor said it wasn't that hard when I inquired.
All kinds of jumping around, squats, lunges, planks, etc all done at a very fast pace.
Needless to say I've tweaked EVERYTHING!
Sheesh....might have to take pain meds!
Hiker-I went to the library today too! Went to a Hispanic cultural event they hosted and did the cha cha, mambo and salsa dances for about 45 minutes. I had a great time!
TuTu-Not even coat weather here today. Just bopped around in a heavier sweater. I don't know what to think of our weather lately. The two big oaks in front of our fence still has most of their leaves.
Well, off to watch some tv!

Last time my tutus went missing, it was a glitch with Dan's website or weblink or something. He's the one who designed them.
I contacted him (about 5 years ago?) and he was able to fix them.
He told me at that time that he has Parkinson's. So .. not sure if I'll be able to contact him again.

Had to go to the gym and sit in the sauna today because I'm so sore! Second night of half a pain pill so am bummed about that.
Me, Mom and her BFF went to a performance of Ballet Hispanico that was a powerhouse show featuring a combo of classical ballet and modern dance. Wow and double wow! What a night!
Hiker-I'm trying to make gluten and low carb foods. Also trying to be pegan, combo paleo and vegan. So mostly veggies and some meat and will try fish again.
TuTu-Those tutus have been MIA for awhile now. Hope you can get them back!
Also wanted to let you all know that I splurged and bought myself a Vitamix blender. It was refurbished on Amazon and with tax was almost $300! Can't wait to make my own nut butters, soups, nut milks and cheese. Heats the soup right in the blender! I'm so excited, which in itself, is kinda sad. Oh well......I can't wait!
See everyone tomorrow!
