Tutu--Thanks for starting us off. Cold here.

Had some snow. My neighbor used my snow blower on my drive while I shoveled the porch and walk. Getting freezing drizzle now.

Did my shoulder stretching exercises. Talked with my friend who is a personal trainer. She suggested I get a posture analysis.

I have rounded shoulders etc. and she thinks if I strengthen my core and the muscle to help my posture then I won't keep running into shoulder, elbow and knee problems. Will mention this to therapist on Thursday.

My friend had a lot of good suggestions. My therapist is only 27 years old and Tracy is my age, so she has a lot of experience and knows me and my body well. We used to play racquetball together weekly until she moved and I got Lyme.

Used my infrared light on my aching shoulder and elbow.

Off to read.

Have a great week!! [Cool]

Hiker .. That will likely help. My PT (I had a duo team) had me work on my core every time I was there, plus my exercises I do at home.

It's a "minor" amount of exercises that I do, but I would say it's major. I can tell the difference it has made.

My knee keeps bothering me though. I think it's diet-related.

One of my team members also did massage to the area. It helped tons.

I paid my taxes online! I haven’t done my own taxes in 20 plus years. I got back about the same as I usually do without spending months adding up medical expenses. I do withhold a lot but it was the same as most years.

I tried to go out and shovel more. I accomplished a lot yesterday. But i couldn’t do much It was just too cold. It never melted enough

Doing the taxes wore me out tho. I’m mostly vegging. We have 3” snow coming from midnight to 6pm tomorrow. I guess I ll have to shovel that. It won’t be worth paying plow guy.

There was a mix up and I don’t have a pt appt until the 28 th. I ll do my exercises 2x a day but I wish that didn’t happen. She is really helping the scar.

I think I ll be lazy tonight and try to do something productive tomorrow

Take care everyone!

Guys, I was in a car accident Saturday night. My ex was driving and we had just finished taking trash to the dump. He wasn't paying attention and pulled out into oncoming traffic on the highway.

His truck it totalled and the other car too.

Went to the local ER by ambulance. Ex is fine but I have whiplash and sprained lower back and swollen left shin.

I've been in bed since on pain pills and muscle relaxers.

Other driver is fine.

Please pray for me.

If able, try to get into a bath with epsom salts. Any chance you can see a chiropractor?

PRAYING!!!

Went to chiropractor.

AK I am so sorry. I hope you get better but whiplash messed me up permanently. The sooner you get treatment the better. Don’t try to tuff it out. Or ignor it. Good luck

It’s been snowing fluffy snow all day. Maybe 4 inches. Just before sunset I went out and shoveled whole drive 2 patios and as much as I could on back patio. It was very light and I just pushed it. I’m so glad I didn’t slip on the ice patches that were under the snow

I worked on new budget again. I found 500 a month but I don’t understand where it’s coming from so I’m not getting too excited til I figure it out.

Down to dingle digits tonight. And cold for awhile. But sunny for a few days. Hope that melts some of this stuff

Today my eyes were very bad. It’s been awhile since this has happened. Eyedoc said the bacteria in my eyes that is treated with doxy sometimes hatches a bunch do there is a big die off and it is stuck in my eyes for awhile. I have ketotifen drops that helped but didn’t clear it all up. Very red itchy and burning and everything is blurry

Take care of yourself AK!!!!!!!!!

Ak--hope you are on the mend.

lp--Stay safe shoveling. We are under a weather advisory for a mix of snow and freezing rain until noon tomorrow.

Went to the library to return books.

Did my PT exercises twice. Still am not doing the ones that hurt my elbow. Will talk to therapist about it on Thursday.

I see the orthopedist talk next Tuesday. I want to see if there is someone in town who can do an ultrasound and read it correctly. Other countries use that as a diagnosis for shoulder. Much cheaper than a MRI and just as good.

Have a good evening.

Hope you can get the ultrasound, hiker. I need to go do my exercises while I'm thinking about it.

LP .. Hope that $500 sticks around. [Smile]

AK .. keep resting! You need it and deserve it.

I went to the pharmacy and to the store for a bit today. It started snowing and then wintry mix, but no big deal. It was above freezing and should stay there until Thursday.

Tomorrow I have Bible study and then church council meeting. I need to get busy on my Bible study ASAP!

Ak--Hope you are getting rest and healing.

lp--Have your eyes improved?

Had some snow and freezing rain. Scraped it off the drive and it is melting now.

Did my PT exercises twice.

Worked on Bible study.

Made meatloaf and if I get enough gumption I will make some muffins.

I need to finish shopping for my parents as I hope to get there this weekend. Just not motivated to go out on this dreary day.

Think my H. pylori is back. Stopped the supplement that was helping about a month ago and am getting stomachaches again. Will start it back up.

Hiker .. I hope you can get your stomach back in shape again and have a safe trip to see your parents.

AK .. Glad to hear that you are feeling better .. little by little.

I went to Bible study this afternoon and then to our church council meeting. Then hubby and I went out to eat.

By the way, I forgot to tell you guys that the friend of our Bible study leader's passed away on Saturday.

So scary that she was about 56 and in good health, then got the flu and by the next day was in a coma. It just got worse and worse from there. She rallied for a day or so and then died. [Frown]

From start to finish, we are talking less than 10 days.

Went to Bible study this morning.

Physical therapy this afternoon. He added an exercise and modified some others. Scheduled 3 more weeks of therapy.

Decided not to go home this weekend. Shoulder hurts too much to drive a long distance and we are supposed to have freezing rain tomorrow and then thunderstorms with 50 mph winds Saturday.

Will try the next weekend.

That is very scary about your friend TuTu! Do they know what happened?

Hiker maybe it's better you stay home with that bad weather coming up. Hope your shoulder gets better.

I was out and about today with many errands to run. It was funny....me and my Mom using shopping carts to get from point a to b in the store.

Got to share this....

Got 3 letters from a hospital yesterday and assuming they were bills opened them this morning. Low and behold one was a check for $100, another for $75 and the last for $25. Just enough to cover my monthly bill for car and life insurance.

Overextended myself in paying for the trailer fix up project so was short this month.

I think God has got it covered!

[woohoo]

See everyone tomorrow!

Isn't that amazing how God works!!?? I just love when that happens. That's when you really know He is RIGHT THERE WITH YOU.

As for the friend, AK .. She got the flu and went straight downhill. She had to be transferred to the city by day 2 because she was critical.

I went to exercise today and did 15 min on the machine, 5 on the NuStep, 10 laps and some work on my legs and ankles. TONS of people there today. I guess the good weather brought them all out.

Ran a few errands at the Walmart in town. I've gotten SO TIRED of the nearby SuperCenter so I've been driving the extra 5 miles or so to the other one where I used to shop.

I may have to give that up once tourist season begins again. We'll see. Right now it's heavenly.

Kam is getting hammered by snow. I think she's had at least 12-14 inches already and it may snow more tonight. I know she gets cold at night. I'm not sure what she is using for heat. I think she just uses space heaters during the day or something.

Tutu--Way to go on the exercise.

Ak--Great story about $. May you keep seeing improvement every day.

Poor Kam--bet she is cold and snowbound.

Did my PT exercises twice.

Walked 21 minutes. Shoulder hurt too much to push down on right trekking pole, but it sure felt good to get outside in the sunshine.

Washed the car the lazy way. Paid the extra money to have the machine do it. Always amazed the contraption never hits the car.

Tried to lay down for a nap, but couldn't get comfortable with shoulder. The day after PT and after new exercises, it seems to get worse.

Off to read. BFF coming over after she gets off work.

TuTu-Way to go on the exercise! That's scary that your friend passed away from the flu!

Hiker-I usually lay my head on my bad shoulder when I'm sleeping and pain always wakes me up. Sleeping on your back might help. I sleep on my side and stomach and wish I didn't. Have a good time with your BFF!

Well....I overdid it today and am sure paying for it. Went to meet the handyman at the trailer and while waiting I decided to paint. Handyman didn't show so after a few hours of working I went and picked up my xrays and catscans at the hospital and also picked up the accident report.

I was really struggling today and walked way to much. My left leg was super swollen and painful. My lower back and hips gave me fits.

I've only been taking 1 pain pill and 1 muscle relaxer a day but am going to a clinic in the morning in hopes of getting more. Hate to take them but they help quite a bit.

I'm supposed to meet the handyman and yard guy tomorrow but I'm going to wait until they call.

Sheesh...that's all I need!

Later my friends!

[kiss]

Ak--Hope the handyman and yardman showed. Take care of your body, first, though!

Did my PT shoulder exercises twice.

Go to see my BFF again this afternoon briefly which brightened my day.

Watched Illini basketball.

Rented the movie First Man and hope to watch it tonight.

Under a wind advisory tonight and tomorrow. Winds over 50 mph moving in after today's rain. At least it isn't snow!

Was at the walk in clinic by 10:00 and got milder meds, Tramadol, Baclofen and Motrin. Also was told I have a hematoma on my left leg and to elevate and apply heat.

Handyman sent a text while I was in the doc's office to let me know he won't be there until Tuesday at 9:00. Haven't heard from the yard guy today.

So I'm back in bed with my leg elevated wondering if I should read or continue to watch Tiny House.

Decisions, decisions!

Hiker let me know how the movie is!

See everyone tomorrow!
