This is a public service announcement for Lyme sufferers. Please try not to make it political.
Are you on Disability and Facebook? Uncle Sam is watching. Please watch what you post.
"The Trump administration has been quietly working on a proposal to use social media like Facebook and Twitter to help identify people who claim Social Security Disability benefits without actually being disabled."
This concerns me. Because our conditions waxes and wanes, good days vs bad days, we might be the types that would celebrate our little milestones.
It's bad enough the medical community disavows us. . . this step taken by our corrent administration could view our milestones as being deceptive.
Say you finally have enough energy to walk your dog? How would that be perceived to the uneducated of TBI's or any other health matter for that reason?
Or maybe finally be able to get outside and pick up sticks in your yard?
You know where I'm going with this.
We don't need the uneducated to view us with biased eyes. Beware.
