Snowing like crazy here and wind is howling.

Slept well last night. Going to try and only take narcotic at night.

This morning I did my shoulder exercises. I am so stiff and it hurts to move that bad elbow which is stuck in the sling most of the day.

Going to grab leftovers for lunch and then call my mom to inform her I had the surgery.

Back later.

Good luck on the phone call, hiker!!

Sorry that the poor elbow is so unhappy. UGH! We had snow this morning, but I didn't see any. It was actually on our radar....esp north of us.

But now it's in the upper 50's and sunny! Gorgeous weather!

Finished my pt exercises. my shoulder looks like a rainbow of colors.

Mom is so worried but I keep telling her the scary part with anesthesia is over.

Howard cleared my drive of snow. Debbie brought another bag of ice and more importantly, dark chocolate.

Lisa is coming at 9 to set up cooling machine and strap cooling pads on shoulder for night. I guess she tucks me into bed.

Ak-did you go out and celebrate last night?

Thanks TuTu for getting us moving for the week!

Hiker you sure have some awesome friends! Sure hope you recover quickly.

I ended up going out with a friend of mine last night and we danced the night away to an 80's tribute band! Then we went to Waffle House and finally made it home around 3:30!

I had so much fun but I'm sore from dancing. [Roll Eyes]

Had a wonderful evening with Mom and Josh enjoying dinner and each other's company.

Well....off to LaLa land!

I went to physical therapy today. Then I came home and did more physical therapy. Lol.

So frustrating that I had a great range of motion before my rotator cuff surgery and now I have a terrible range of motion.

I started taking Aleve this weekend so that I didn’t have to take so much Narcotic. But then when I called the doctors office today they said not to take the Aleve for a long time. oh boy I hope I didn’t mess things up.

So, I didn’t do too much today except Physical Therapy and that has really made me tired. But, I know this is a long process and I just need to be patient and keep working at it.

I am trying to dictate this post and I know the punctuation isn’t going to be perfect but I thought I would try. Hope everyone has a great evening.

Oh Hiker, it does take a long time to recover. I'd go slow and enjoy some really good books.

Today I trimmed the bushes in front of the house and did a little raking and bagging.

Also bought some herbs and discounted flowers for the containers in our carport.

So the plan tomorrow is to get some potting soil and get those potted and if I have some energy maybe rake one side of the yard.

Hope everyone is doing OK!

See everyone tomorrow!

Hiker .. You are doing great! I would think that the swelling REALLY affects the range of motion. So yes, be patient.

I'm anxious to get my flowers, AK .. but I'm waiting until my friend comes over to help me with the balcony. If it takes too long for that to happen, I will go ahead and buy some.

We have company tomorrow and I will go to the show with them.

I'm excited also that I bought a new camera! Now to figure out HOW to USE it!! lol

My friend who is coming has a Sony also, so I know she can help. This is the friend whose dad was in WWII with my dad. We have been friends "forever."

They are coming up from Texas to go back to Minnnesota, where they live 1/2 of the year.

Tutu, what fun to have a new camera!

I did my shoulder exercises twice today and have a few more still to do.

I actually walked down the driveway for the first time since surgery to my mailbox. That doesn’t sound like a big deal but it was the first time so I will consider it a victory.

My friends daughter came over and helped give me a shower. Hopefully I will be able to do that on my own soon.

Warm and sunny today, so I sat out on my deck for a while.

I was very sad to hear about the Notre Dame fire in Paris. I have visited there and hope to see it rebuilt in the manner in which it had been.

Only slept a couple of hours due to drinking 2 cups of coffee at 10:00 p.m.

So still did 2 loads of laundry, (Mom helped), ran errands, potted the flowers and herbs I've bought so far and mixed cat litter in with about 10 one gallon cans of old paint so the city will pick them up.

I'm beat now!

Awesome that you have a new camera TuTu! I'm going to post pics of my flowers and herbs on FB. I bet you can take great pics now. Let us know what you're growing this year!

Hiker way to go on the walk and sitting outside and getting some fresh air and sunshine! Josh told me about the fire yesterday. Do you know what caused it? Hope and pray you continue to get better!

Time to veg!

Hey gang. Busy day .. had company.

Took my new camera to the show and was terribly disappointed. I will be returning it tomorrow.

The zoom is about half the power of my old one but it says it's 50X ..

Tutu, I’m so sorry to hear your camera isn’t up to snuff.

I went to physical therapy today. A lot of stretching and a new exercise to

My neighbor took me to the eye doctor to get my glasses adjusted so now they don’t fall off my face!

Normally I would go to church tonight during Lent, but I’m not sure I can face sitting on the hard pew for an hour so I’m bowing out.

Went to PT this morning. Afterwards spent 3-4 hours cleaning the shed and laundry rooms. I'm already in bed and am zonking out!

Sorry about the camera not working out TuTu.

What a wonderful neighbor Hiker!

Night all!

Ak— I hope Physical Therapy is helping you sounds like you did a lot of work on your shed.

I didn’t sleep so well last night despite the narcotic.

Did my physical therapy exercises today I still have one round to go.

And went to the library for me and also picked up some goats yogurt. I find goat yogurt is soothing on the stomach.

My neighbor who took me to the eye appointment yesterday lost her memory all the sudden. She still in the hospital but they think she has a general type of amnesia that will go away and probably won’t reoccur. More test tomorrow. Please say prayers for Terry.

I’m going to read and relax tonight after I finish my physical therapy stretches. Hopefully my BFF will stop by as she usually does.

Wow, AK .. Would you please come over and clean out our garage? [Smile]

hiker .. Sorry to hear about the amnesia. I hope it doesn't last long. Will continue to pray for Terry.

I took the camera back yesterday and got one very similar to my old one, but a better zoom! I even saved money on the deal.

Bigger is NOT always better .. but then, you guys know that!! The camera I bought on Monday did not live up to its hype.

I went to the city today for acupuncture and chiro. It rained most of the way there and back. I stopped to see about getting window tinting. I really need it for my car since I have Sjogren's. (having had lyme doesn't help either)

I will go back to town next week for that.

Came home in time to get a little rest and then off to early church for Maundy Thursday.

Tomorrow morning .. early .. I have an appointment with the ortho Dr. Then home for Good Friday services.

I hope everyone sleeps well tonight ... especially HIKER!!

Ran errands with Mom so a more relaxing day.

Then tonight me, Mom and her BFF went to an exhibition at the local museum. Views from the Pacific Front was an exhibit of 2 local artists showcasing their artwork created during WWII.

Also they had a Big Band orchestra playing period music from the 40's. Was awesome to hear Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, etc.

They put out a nice spread to of wraps, cheeses, fruit and veggie trays, desserts, tea, lemonade and water.

We had an absolutely fantastic time!

Glad that goat's yogurt is doable for you Hiker. Sorry about your neighbor. Sure hope they find out what's going on. Hang in there!

TuTu, you make me laugh! I sure would help you clean out your garage! Saving money on the exchange of your camera was awesome!

I've battened down the hatches in preparation of bad weather tonight.

See everyone tomorrow!

Planted garden this afternoon..... Stopped when it started drizzling. And we had all the rows filled except the last half of a potato row.

We had some small potatoes left from last year with huge long sprouts on them. They are easy to plant without needing to cut them up. Just lay the long sprouts in the row and cover them up.

Want to transplant the strawberries to a new bed. The current one is too close to the overhead wires. The birds sit up there and spy the berries - guess what happens?

Checked the asparagus patch... the first spears are poking through! In a day or so, we'll have our first fresh asparagus!

Manna,

I can just taste that asparagus. Can’t believe you have your garden in already. With my rotator cuff surgery sadly I don’t think I’m going to have a vegetable garden this year. So I will live vicariously through yours.

Went to physical therapy today. I called them my torture sessions.

I am making adequate progress on range of motion except for my elbow. By the time I see the surgeon next week I am supposed to be able to abduct my elbow 35 to 40°. Today I was at 13°.

I got my new physical therapy schedule for the next three weeks. So now I have to hunt down rides to get to all of these sessions. I’ve discovered you find out who your true friends are when you have a health problem.

Very chilly here today with winds in the 30 mph range but the sun is shining so that’s a positive.

I’m reading a good mystery called Forget You Know Me, so I think I will go off and read.

I am reminded that today is good Friday and I’m very thankful for the sacrifice that Christ made for me.

Had PT today and doing well with the stretches. Found out I was doing my new hip exercises incorrectly so learned better techniques. Also was instructed on how to lift, bend, vacuum, rake, sweep, etc in a way that won't tweak my back and SI joint.

Other than that I'm taking it easy.

I've always wanted to plant my own garden Manna but would have to stick with tall containers and table height raised beds because of my back. A friend of mine in AK made some really neat ones for his Mom out of giant metal barrels. He cut them in half for the beds and welded a wheeled frame to the barrels for easy movement to follow the sunlight. They're the bomb!

I'm thinking of Easter too Hiker. With just me, Mom and Josh, I'm going to grill some steaks. Me and Mom and maybe a friend of mine are going to the mega Easter service at the local civic center. My brother is playing rhythm guitar along with other band members for the service. Enjoy your book!

See everyone tomorrow!

AK-Those barrel planters on wheels sound like a great idea!

Did PT exercises. Jori helped me shower.

Spent a lot of afternoon helping my BFF. She is a teacher and her curriculum next year matched what I taught. So glad I could help.

Relaxing tonight.

Fasting today because I woke up at 2:00 this morning with a stomach ache. I bought some precooked quinoa that didn't agree with me.

So just kinda lounged around today.

Wow, Hiker I know that made you feel better to be able to help your friend. How's the shoulder feeling?

Well, off to do dishes.
