My beloved dog was diagnosised with a terminal illness yesterday. Very abnormal chest X-Ray. I am beyond distraught.
I have pulled ticks off of her about 3 years ago, about the same time I got bit. I no longer walk her in tall grassy areas, and have used tick prevention on her ever since, including the Lyme vaccine before I knew any better.
My Vet, while not Lyme litterate, knows quite a bit about TBI's. He has started her on 2 antibiotics and an antifungal. The X-ray was not conclusive for cancer so we are trying a trial round in case it's fungal spore balls or grandular lesions.
Has anyone had a pet that was diagnosised with a TBI's? Or any research that would be helpful for her survival ? Any and all ideas greatly welcomed ❤️
