Here we go with another week of yard or house work, walking, weight training, skiing, crafts, gardening, etc.

Just about anything counts as exercise on this thread!

So let's get off the couch, out of bed or the recliner and get moving!

[woohoo]

Am at my parents celebrating mom's 92nd birthday.

Can't get Dad's computer to work, so am in the library of the retirement center.

Did my shoulder exercises this morning.

Hauled some more items out to bulky waste and hurt my back. Grr.

Back to parent's apartment until this evening.

Hiker .. no .. please get help. Gotta find more teens to help or something.

Went to PT for traction today. It's going well. The muscles in my mid-back are tightening up but the PT helped on that too.

We are still waiting on the shower. It SHOULD come in Wednesday. No guarantees.

I did my physical therapy exercises at home and then went to physical therapy.

I cleaned out a few more things and my neighbor came over to put them in bulky waste which gets picked up tomorrow.

I met with the head of the architect committee of the condo association to put in an application to revenant sidewalk to lose porch step and put in handrails.

Made phone calls looking for people to do the cement work and to do the ceramic tile work. Hopefully I can meet the guy about the ceramic tile when we do the condo inspection next week.

Realtor came over today to do the measurements and will give a list price to me tomorrow. That’s just in time because I have a neighbors nephew coming to look at my house tomorrow night.

It’s officially not on the market yet but I think his aunt who lives next-door is trying to talk him into it.

That would be a huge blessing as he lives at home with his folks and I wouldn’t have to worry about getting out of my house quickly until the work is done at the condo.

Anyway I’m totally exhausted. I’m taking the day off tomorrow to relax a bit and play dominoes with some friends.

A super long day today. Took Mom to Atlanta, about 100 miles north of us, for her follow-up on her liver cancer treatment and thank God she's still cancer free!

So we left at 6:00 a.m. and got home around 8:00 p.m.

So I'm wiped out! Got caught in Atlanta downtown rush hour, which was horrendous! Took me about an hour to go 6 miles!

TuTu best of luck to you on your bathroom remodel!

Hiker I'm so excited about your new digs! Hope everything goes smoothly with the sale of your house!

I'm crashing....night all!

Had a very busy week last week and I was hoping this week is not so hectic. Started out with a phone call before I left for work....... The beans are ready to pick again!

My friend has more than she can use, so we got a picking last week - 4 1/2 five gallon buckets. Tonight we got the same amount and only got HALF the beans picked! It got too dark to see so we will go for the rest tomorrow eve.

We had a bushel of tomatoes from my sis-in-law and started doing them this afternoon. I have 2 batches of ketchup going in the crockpots and my 10 quart kettle is full of tomato juice to can.

My sis-in-law is having garage sale on Saturday and I was hoping to have time to go through some things to sell. But it looks like the next 2 days will be bean days!

I have a bowl of red beets cooked to pickle waiting in the fridge.....

Sounds like you all are busy too!

That would be so wonderful, hiker!!!

AK .. So happy to hear that your mom is still cancer free!!!

Manna .. happy harvesting!

Our second shower stall came in broken. So today our contractor bought one locally. I think he was trying to get the most for my money .. but really....sigh.

Anyway, they brought it over (in two big boxes) and it is now IN my bathroom.

they stirred things up by opening that room but I hope it will all be OK when it's all said and done.

One of the workers has MCAS and reacts immediately to mold. He said it was fine in there.

It smells like wet soil .. yuck .. but it's all been better today overall.

AK- good news about your mom!

Manna-You are so busy with your gardening vegetables and so on. I am amazed.

Tutu- hope that bathroom is about finished!

I did my shoulder exercises.

I went play dominoes with some friends and got creamed.

Then I backed into the friends mailbox on the way out of the driveway and scratched up my car. Did no damage to her mailbox. [cussing]

My neighbor’s nephew is coming to look at the house tonight even though it’s not officially listed. I don’t really have much hope that he’s going to buy it.

Did my home PT and arm routine. Then took Mom to her PT appointment. When we went to leave the car didn't start so Josh picked me up while my Mom waited in the ER waiting area. We went to my brother's job to pick up a battery and my brother came to the hospital and changed the battery and checked the starter and alternator which are fine.

I'm so, so grateful this didn't happen in Atlanta yesterday!

Hiker I sure hope your house sells! Sorry about your fender bender! I backed into a giant parking lot light post at my old job. I don't know how I missed seeing that thing!

TuTu what are the chances of one of the workers having MCAS? I can smell mold from a mile away too! So glad you finally got your tub and hopefully the work will be done soon.

Manna I just love hearing about your gardening adventures! Sounds like a whole bunch of canning going on at your house!

See everyone tomorrow!

The contractor is married to our support group leader. Her brother works with her husband. Several in their family have MCAS.

They will begin work tomorrow.

Is there a genetic link to MCAS? Josh, me and my brother all have psoriasis but mine has improved greatly with MCAS treatment.

[confused]

Unofficially YES!!!! We have MANY people on the MCAS site who have other family members with it. I think the genetic link is just not proven yet.

I have a second or third cousin who has Mastocytosis and his mother and aunt both have it. My first cousin's daughter is also suspected to have it.

My aunt may have had it too.

Josh came and looked at the house. I don't think he will buy it although he said he had a lot of thinking to do.

He is 30 years old and his mom came with him. He still lives at home despite a good paying job. Has no realtor and said he was approved for a loan last year, but let it lapse.

I think my big yard and flowers do not interest him but the rest of the house would have been ok.

Finished picking the rest of the beans tonight - guess how many 5 gallon buckets full?? 5!!! We will be well supplied with beans! 3 rows are yellow beans and the others are green.

Canned 10 quarts of V8 tomato juice this afternoon. The ketchup turned out really nice. Sonny added a hot chili pepper to a small portion of it.

The girls got the laundry out on the lines and back in again before it rained a little shower just before supper. Now there are a couple baskets of wash waiting to be folded.

Hiker, moving is such an adventure! Its also very hard work, but I see it as an adventure. We are hoping some day to get a place of our own. "when we move" is a comment often heard around here.

Lymetoo, hope your bathroom is soon finished. It will be so nice having everything in place again.

AK, if you were close enough I'd share some of our bountiful harvest with you!

Our one son lives in MO. he says fresh corn is selling for a dollar an ear!! He's coming home later this month and is requesting corn on the cob for one meal!

Per usual, I did my shoulder exercises.

Then I rushed to physical therapy at the clinic, thinking I was gong to be late. And... you guessed it, my appointment is tomorrow not today. So came home and did my second round of PT exercises.

Went to Kroger to get organic meat.

Made some phone calls trying to sell some antique sewing rockers, but no luck, yet.

Went to chiropractor. Lower back really bothering me as is my "good" left shoulder (never been that great, but is my nonsurgical one).

Just did my home PT and ran errands with Mom. It's to hot down here to do much of anything outside. The high was 95!

Hope everyone stays cool!

Oh, Hiker .. you sound like me. LOL

They got the shower stall in and are halfway finished with the closet. The jacuzzi was large, so we are able to have a shower and a small linen closet.

It's dusty with sheet rock right now.

The odor is not bad. Still smelling odors somewhere .. am suspecting the other bathroom. I so hope all is OK there and it's just my "smeller" that is off!!

I think the toilet in the other bathroom needs to be replaced. I'm rather afraid to see what's under it.

Right now, it's running. Our water bill was higher this past month. So either we fix it, or get a new one. The other toilet was replaced about 5 months ago because it was cheaper to replace it than to fix it ... It was time.

I think our condo is about 14 years old.

I went out and watered this morning and struggled with my heavier hose but managed to get the job done. Now it’s pouring rain but we’re in such a drought that it won’t make much of a difference.

Went to physical therapy.

Got inspection set up for next Tuesday at the new condo and at the same time have a contractor coming to look at pulling the ceramic tile and putting down vinyl. Rather have cork but can’t afford that.

For fun this afternoon I went to a little shop where they have all kinds of crystals and gemstones. They did a crystal reading on me where they lay out about 50 different crystals and the lady picks up the ones that she thinks I need to balance my body or mind.

She only picked out two and said most people have many more. She said I must be grounded in faith. I ask her if her recent energy healing would affect her choice of crystals and she said yes.

So maybe my energy healings are helping me in ways besides physical ways. But I think it’s my faith in God that gets me through.

She said she just learned Reiki healing and also does psychic readings. I decided it was time to leave when she talked about doing psychic readings. Not my thing.

I’m going to chill out the rest of the afternoon. I haven’t even had time to read the paper today and do the crossword puzzle.

Decided to finish up this week’s grocery shopping this evening. That will help with my weekend tasks.

Home PT and arm routine day then took Mom to her PT appointment. We ran some errands and just vegged today.

TuTu I'm having toilet issues too. I replaced the seal on something and now you have to jiggle the handle after flushing or it keeps running. Gotta fix it so back to YouTube!

Hiker that shop sounds like a fun place to browse around. I really didn't believe much in crystals, energy healings, ART and holistic practices....but I do now! After having gone to my functional medicine chiropractor who pinpointed my diet, physical and emotional issues by using ART it's made me realize there's other fantastic ways to getting healthy. Yes....I drank the Kool-Aid! [Big Grin]

Sheesh......it's 3:15 in the morning! Night everyone!

Did Pt exercises at home and then went to PT at the clinic.

Did cleaning out of a few drawers at home.

Ran a load of laundry.

Did an errand.

Am already battling Home Owner's Association of the area I want to move to. I put in an application for work to be done on the outside of the condo to make it more handicapped accessible.

The lady said it could not be approved until I named a contractor to do the work, but not to sign the contract with the contractor because that was against the rules before the application was approved. Good grief.

Trying to get some guys out for estimates when I am there next week for the building inspection.

I told her I could not buy the condo if the application was not approved. We are talking in circles.

I almost want to throw up my hands and say, "Forget it, I am not moving." But I think any condo I buy the Home Owner Association is going to be like this.

Home PT for me too Hiker. Sure hope the condo issues get settled soon, it must be very frustrating! Hang in there!

Picked up my vintage Sony turntable from the repair shop. I paid $25 for it at the flea market and $69 for repairs so about $95 all in. The repair guy said it was really nice and asked what I paid for it. He was surprised I bought it so cheaply and told me it was worth $300-$400! He told me I need an amplifier/receiver so will be shopping around for one of those.

Me and Mom went to her old cardiac rehab gym and will be rejoining on Monday. She needs to workout for her SI joint mobility. If I'm extra careful I'll be starting my old Zumba class again. Yay, I can't wait!

So that was my day! See you guys tomorrow!

AK—I know you love Zumba.

Did my shoulder exercises.

One load of laundry.

Zipped to library.

Cleaned out one file cabinet and desk drawers. Still a lot in them but way less than before.

Sat outside awhile to soak up some vitamin D.

Home PT and arm routine. Vegged today because I'm fasting so just water, coconut water and teas.

Hiker it's so hard to know where to start when moving. Glad you're not overdoing it with your shoulder and took time out to catch some rays.

Well...off to finish watching Wonder Woman.
