Here we go with another week of romping and stomping, or sweating in the heat outside. [Cool]

Hope you are some place where you can get some movement without baking in sauna like temperatures.

Did my physical therapy today for my shoulder.

Walked around the cul-del-sac again.

Sat and grounded myself to the earth, but didn't stay out long. Hot and humid.

Have friends coming to help me water later. I can't drag the hose around, yet.

Have a great week. [hi]

We are due to receive the remnants of the tropical storm late tonight. It is already windy and it feels good.

It's 75 degrees with 11mph breezes. Nice.

I do not look forward to more rain.

We begin our remodeling in the master bathroom. Not really looking forward to that either since I will be reacting to every single thing.

Sigh.

Hi Hiker! Thanks for getting us going this week! I know it must feel great to get outside and walk! BTW, how long do you do the grounding? I walk outside bare-footed just to turn the faucet off and on. Probably not nearly long enough.

TuTu how neat that you showed folks at the store the weddings pix. I bet they enjoyed that. Sure hoping you don't react to badly from the remodel. I have issues with chemicals also.

Well...I didn't really get exercise today just my PT. Then watched 2 movies at Josh's and pigged out on pizza. Slowly but surely I'm gaining some weight back. Must fight the evil pizza and buffet people! [Roll Eyes]

Night everyone!

I went to physical therapy this morning and just finished my second round of exercises. Shoulder still in quite a bit of pain for some unknown reason.

Walked around cup-de-sac twice.

I did a little bit of weeding in my flowerbeds. But I had hired somebody to weed just 10 days ago and so I texted him pictures and he’s coming back to redo the job for free as he should.

Sat outside for about 20 minutes and grounded my feet to the earth. Very humid out.

Guys came and weather proofed my deck today and I’m hoping the rain holds off until it dries but with the humidity that may not happen.

My friends who helped me water last night brought by some grilled steaks and squash so my dinner is ready for me.

The church whose big yard backs up to my yard is for sale. It used just to be a residential house and we are quite concerned that they will seek the zoning for apartments like they did the last time. The compromise was zoning for the church.

Now, if they wanted to build some nice one level condos and I could just move right over there that would be fine with me! [Big Grin]

Have a good evening!

AK .. pizza sounds so good right now.
Yeah, the manager at the wedding place really loved seeing the pics.

hiker .. Wouldn't that be cool if they built condos?! ha!

We got signals mixed up on the remodeling. Then he called later to say that the shower unit I wanted was not available in a cream color. Oh well...who cares. White, it is! Now to wait another day or two.

I have a feeling they may not start until next week because I don't want them to work for two days and then have the weekend off.

He said it would take 4 days.

Get it DONE!!

Had a chiropractor appointment this morning - took it easy most of the afternoon in hopes of holding my adjustment.

Hauled a wheelbarrow load of weeds to the meadow this evening.

After one of the boys tilled the garden, I planted the summer squash. As soon as we get the red potatoes dug, I'd like to put a row or two of beans in for fall. They are so good to eat fresh up until frost.

Did my PT and arm routine. Josh came by and he lit the pilot light on our water heater, figured out why my printer was offline and helped me fix the toilet that wouldn't stop running.

So my Mom paid for our dinner at the Chinese buffet. Sigh.....

Hiker was thrilled to hear you walked twice and did some weeding! Your dinner sounds delish! I was just talking to Josh today about condos. What a coincidence.

TuTu sure hope that'll solve the mold issue. I don't blame you a bit about wanting them to start next week.

Manna hope the adjustment helped your back problem. Hearing about your wonderful garden really makes me want to try my hand at growing more than ornamentals and herbs.

See everyone tomorrow!

Tutu- I bet you are chomping at the bit to get that remodeling done. Good luck with it.

Ak- so nice that you have Josh around and that you help each other out.

I went to physical therapy and then did another set of exercises at home. Am very sore. But I think I’m going to have to get used to the pain as we ramp up the weight.

I walked three times around the cul-de-sac. So humid out.

Sat and grounded my feet to the earth.

Guy came to check the deck after the weather staining and agreed they’re going to have to redo parts of it because it rained last night and it wasn’t dry. May be a while before they get to it.

Cleaning lady came today. Young man who does waiting for me came back to fix the undone job that he did a few days ago.

Have a good evening.

Did my PT and then took Mom for her PT today. Shopped on Amazon then went to the movies this evening with Josh. A very leisurely day.

Hiker you're doing fantastic! I've yet to get back into my routine. Think I'm really procrastinating by this point.

See everyone tomorrow!

Got up early to beat the heat.

Did my PT exercises twice.

Walked 12 minutes with my trekking poles. I know that doesn't sound like much but that is the longest I have walked since winter and the first time I have walked off the cul-de-sac since my shoulder surgery.

Going to build up slowly on the walking.

Went to Kroger to get organic meat and a few other items.

Sat in the shade and grounded myself to the earth.

My neighbor gave me some zucchini and a cucumber. Hope to make some zucchini bread tomorrow! (gluten free)

Temps soaring into high 90's the next 3 days. Argh!

Just did my PT and arm routine today then picked up Josh at the car repair place. He's going to borrow my car while his is in the shop. The check engine light is on and hope it won't be anything major.

Kudos on the 12 Hiker! You might have to share your gluten free zucchini bread recipe!

I'm still procrastinating when it comes to going to the gym. [Roll Eyes]

See you all tomorrow!

Walked early this morning before the heat set in. Managed 15 minutes with my trekking poles despite the toxic heavy legged feeling.

Dropped my BFF at the eye doctor and then went to Bible study.

Did my PT exercises.

Made zucchini bread. Cooling on the rack now.

Heat advisories out for the next few days.

Yeah .. really hot here too. Oppressive heat, I would say.

Not that anxious for the remodeling to begin because it will be so stressful for me. They will start next Tuesday.

I pray it fixes the mold issue, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

My shoulder is hurting. I "injured" it by doing a tiny bit of mopping two weeks ago. After driving in the city yesterday it really ramped up the pain.

My PT checked it and thinks it the big muscle that is inflamed. That started up many years ago and is what my acupuncturist has been keeping in check.

His mother died this week so I can't go until next week. PT put the stimulation on it and I'm icing it now.

You are progressing well, hiker .. it must seem to be taking FOREVER!!

AK .. Don't overdo if you get to the gym! Hope the car is not an expensive fix.

Just my PT at home today then drove my Mom to 2 appointments. We met Josh for lunch. He hasn't heard from the shop so we might pick up his car tomorrow and take it to the shop I use. He checked his shop on the internet and said they have good reviews but the guy has promised to call for 2 days now and not a peep.

A good mechanic is worth his weight in gold!

I can't believe the heat you guys are experiencing! It's horrible down here and I need to put some outside security lights up that I ordered from Amazon. I have to psych myself up with promises of beer to go outside!

I'm ready for summer to be over!

See everyone tomorrow!

Walked 3 times around cul-de-sac and decided that was enough in this heat and humidity. Over 95 here today.

Went to physical therapy.

Eye doctor this afternoon. I need a new prescription, but am keeping the same frames. Sheesh, progressive lenses sure are expensive. Was at the office for 3 long hours.

Going to be a couch potato tonight. Can't drive due to dilated eyes, so not going grocery shopping.

Seen some really neat documentaries about Apollo 11

Hi everyone! Only managed home PT today. Mom wanted to go grocery shopping not long after I woke up so off we went.

Josh actually got his car fixed today even though they didn't call. He found out from my brother who sent the parts to the shop.

So to thank me for letting him borrow my car he took me out for a Mexican dinner.

I got the rest of my order from Amazon so am gonna try to install some of the security lights tomorrow. At least that's the plan. [Big Grin]

Wow that's hot Hiker! I can't wear progressive lens. I had a pair but was unable to see my computer screen at work. It was an expensive mistake! I could see long distance and for reading but not at arms length. So soon as I got to work the glasses had to come off. Sheesh!

Off to watch TV.

AK .. I sure hope the car will be fixed soon. We are lucky because one of my best friends has a son who owns a repair place.

I hope you can get the security light up .. without beer. LOL

We have 4,000 people here without electricity. OH THE HEAT!! We still have power. We have two companies here and I heard that a transformer blew. We have a different company than the one having trouble. So far, so good.

I think it was about 95 or so here too .. heat index above 100. All I know is that it's hot. We will get a cool front on Sunday.

Hiker .. 3 hours is a long time to be there. I missed all the documentaries on Apollo 11. I guess I should go looking for one.

I went this morning for an ENT appointment. All was OK. (check up from last year)

Then hubby took me for an MRI later this afternoon. They did an MRI on my foot. Some guy before me was doused in cologne. It was horrible in the waiting area where you change clothes, but OK in the MRI room. (pretty much)

Very warm here today - it was 82 at 8:30 this morning. Have wash out on the lines.... it dries really fast!

Will do things inside this afternoon in the air conditioning. Want to make a gluten free Angel food cake for sonny's birthday dinner. He asked for Shepherd's pie for his meal.

Have to clean and get the beans ready for the freezer that were picked this morning. Not so many today, only half of a 5 gal bucket.

The boys want to make homemade root beer. Won't take long to get ready with this heat!

Have a a huge pile of laundry to fold & put away. And if there's time, clean up the basement and do some sewing. (that's a big IF!!)lol

I always plan way more than I can get accomplished on my Saturday's......

Manname-quite a day's undertaking. I love Shepherd's pie! Used to make root beer as a science lesson with my students (fermentation). They loved it.

I got up early this morning to beat the heat.

Went grocery shopping, buy it was too hot to walk when I got home.

Did my shoulder exercises.

Did a load of laundry. One more load tomorrow.

Did some light cooking; pork chops, broccoli and carrots.

Received my zeolite powder in the mail today. Have read so many conflicting views on how much to take and when to take it.

Decided to start with 1/2 dose in place of my apple pectin and not risk taking it near meds or supplements.

Watched a great documentary last night on Apollo 11 called 8 Days: To the Moon and Back. Hope to watch one or two more tonight.

Ak--Did you get those security lights up?

AK .. Glad he got his car back. Mexican food is a great exchange!

Manna .. root beer .. sounds awesome!

Hiker .. Thanks for the tips on the Apollo stuff. Watching one now on Discovery.

I went to our MCAS support group meeting in the city. We had 3 new people show up. My HUSBAND even came along. It was just having lunch together, no real meeting.

Our leader had a reaction but she is OK. She's been very reactive lately.

I came home and just fixed pancakes for hubby.

Did my home PT and arm routine. Josh gave me his old hand grips for strengthening wrists and forearms so I've added that.

I got quite the workout today! Started around 2 this afternoon removing the old wired security lights. Installed new round metal housing for the lights to be attached to. Then on to installing our new motion detector security lights. Took a brief break because of rain then finished up about 8:00.

They work! And I didn't fall off the ladder or get electrocuted! I have to adjust them but that can wait.

I did reward myself with beer TuTu. I'm so glad to be done with the wired lights I'm celebrating! Next are my smaller solar security lights. At least no wiring for those.

I used to take apple pectin to Hiker. Now I eat organic apples and unsweetened applesauce. I bought brown rice flour for the zucchini bread recipe that you were kind enough to share. I was wondering if I could use stevia instead of the sugar? I'm gonna give it a shot. All I need is the xanthum gum.

Manna your tale of homemade root beer made me shiver in remembrance of my nephew using me as a guinea pig for Alton Brown's recipe for gingerale. I think he used the wrong kind of yeast? and it was just awful! He thought it was funny!

Well....I'm going to try to rest my aching overworked body! Night all!
