In addition to looking at Lyme & inflammation as a pre-cancer situation...
We also need to be aware that Bartonella and Mycoplasma have now been detected in high numbers in skin and various tumors.
This is one of many great studies done in North Carolina by Dr. Breitschwerdt and his team.
He does excellent work and is very helpful for us, especially when so many other CDC/IDSA studies aren't helpful at all.
FYI- "HSA" as reported in this study is a form of cancer.
The authors state that 73% of the dogs diagnosed with cancer had Bartonella.
Also 5% of HSA (cancer positive) dogs tested positive for Mycoplasma, but none were positive for Babesia.
Below is more important information...
QUOTE- "Of the 100 HSA tumor samples submitted, 34% were Bartonella PCR positive (32% of splenic tumors, 57% of cardiac tumors, and 17% of other tumor locations).
Of 104 non-tumor tissues, 63% were Bartonella PCR positive (56% of spleen samples, 93% of cardiac samples, and 63% of skin/subcutaneous samples)."

Well, these lyme and co's infections are being found in lesions from Morgellons, so I'm sure tissue can be changed to cancer from these infections as well. These infections probably affect our genes.
So, I guess the goal is to reduce inflammation, get rid of or at the very least control the infections to prevent cancer.
