So very sorry Rivendell on your diagnosis. Please know many are sending healing wishes your way. It just doesn't seem fair why life is so hard.
Please research Dr Eva Sapi, Professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology @ University of New Haven.
Dr Sapi is one of the leading Lyme Disease researchers and has many peer-reviewed published journals. Her previous career was in ovarian and breast cancer research but after she contracted Lyme disease, she changed her course to finding a cure to LD.
Dr Sapi and her research team are currently conducting studies between the link of breast cancer and LD.

Unfortunately, many with Lyme do get a cancer diagnosis. In my opinion part of it is due to excessive inflammation, and of course the infections.
Interesting to note... many, most if not all, say (if given a choice) they would rather have cancer again than Lyme.
Years ago I started following the science that shows Doxycycline "turns off" cancer cells.
I am working on a site to be able to save and share some of that information. It is, like many of my other sites, a work in progress.

That was the first study that caught my eye. Been following it ever since.
I have seen a man with prostate cancer and a dog with bone cancer take doxy and both became cancer free.
There have been others, but I happen to know these two personally.

Thanks so much all of you. I would thank each one of you, but it is a long list of names.
Well, that is very interesting about doxy helping to kill cancer. Thanks for the link. Only thing for me is that my esophagus and throat are so raw from acid reflux that I cannot tolerate doxy. Zithromax is one of the few antibiotics that I can take.
When I get through this immediate cancer crisis, I want to have surgery for the reflux so that my esophagus and throat can heal. Was pursuing that path, when breast lump appeared on the mammogram.
Well, I am to have a MRI on the breast to look for any other tumors, and if no others are found, then a lumpectomy will be performed. Then maybe take an estrogen inhibitor and/or radiation.

Lots of suggestions for natural tx for cancer at TheTruthAboutCancer.org, ChrisBeatCancer.com, also at Razi Berry's site, Dr Veronique Desaulnier beat breast cancer and has lots of online info about it.
Natural supplements are recommended, like curcumin and Essaic tea, and more.

I keep thinking that women should have ultrasounds instead of mammograms because mammograms give are breasts a concentrated dose of radiation. That seems rediculous to me.

You're right about mammograms - these alternative sources are not recommending them - they think they can actually worsen the cancer. They're recommending thermography, which is safer and can also detect sooner.

Hey everyone. Thanks for all the links and support.
Had the tumor removed along with significant marginal tissue. Surgeon was very good. Very little scarring that will probably fade.
But on the marginal tissue removed was found pre-cancer cells. So on Jan.20 this month will have more of this area removed.
Also, when I had a breast MRI, they found a tiny nodule in my lung. Said this is very common in the ohio vally where I live, because the air quality is so poor. But it is usually benign.
I will have a chest CAT Scan today.
When I know more,will post.
Lyme has given me good training on dealing with this. Still dealing with lyme too, but it has been improving.

Oh no Rivendell! I hope and pray that everything is going to be OK. I know what you mean about Lyme treatment enabling us to handle tough situations.
