Hi - I've been dealing with this topic a lot since my joints are unstable.
There is currently a window of time that we can make comments/suggestions for future guidelines regarding the nature of rail transit (all kinds of rail travel) in the US. The US Access Board is asking for input through May 14.
I would especially like to see some guidelines for seating configuration. I need to sit in a forward-facing seat (called transverse), not a sideways one (called longitudinal). There are no guidelines for this and places can do whatever they feel like. I'd like to see some guidelines created for some transverse seats in rail transit. Here, specifically for light rail vehicles.
Feel welcome to PM me for a more detailed discussion, if you're interested in giving the US Access Board some suggestions.
