Ready for another week of movin' and groovin'? [woohoo]

This is where we encourage each other in our exercise endeavors.

So, if you are walking, gardening, doing physical therapy, cleaning etc., let us know! Or just tell us about your day.

Have a great week! [hi]

I watched my local church service on YouTube and worked on Bible study.

Did one load of laundry.

Went outside to do some weeding and was just getting ready to water the plants and a storm moved in. Yeah! Saved me having to drag the hose around.

Talked to mom. Hope to head there tomorrow evening when my brother rolls in from out of town.

I will watch the closing ceremonies of the Olympics this evening and then go into "Olympic Withdrawal." I have been addicted to watching the games.

We had a nice service to celebrate our Pastor's 50th ordination. He didn't have to lift a finger to do the service. [Smile]

His sister did the "sermon." Not quite a roast, but she told us a few cute things about his childhood.

We sang his favorite songs and a local entertainer who is one of his best friends came to sing a song.

It was all very special.

I didn't get a nap in because I wasn't that sleepy. We only had one service which began later, so I got plenty of rest last night.

I hope everyone had a great day!

Thanks Hiker for starting us off this week. Was glad to hear you're feeling better. So do you think it was the homeopathics? We just finished watching the closing ceremonies of the Olympics too. I was just asking my Mom what in the world would we do now that the games are over. Yep...we're going through withdraw also!

Washed a load of clothes and ran to the PO and grocery store. Mom made chicken and dumplings for dinner and I made cornbread and lima beans. Store bought cookies rounded out the meal.

TuTu your church celebration for your Pastor sounded so sweet. I'm sure he felt very appreciated.

Manna I sure hope you all get those yellow jackets!

See you all tomorrow!

Rainy and windy here.

Did my knee exercises.

Went and picked up my magnesium and zinc etc. from chiropractor.

Worked a bit on Bible study.

Off to get ready to go to mom's. Hope my brother gets in tonight, but it may be tomorrow.

Chicken and dumplings?? Oh I love them!! I need to make a trip to Cracker Barrel!! LOL

Hiker .. have a SAFE trip!!! I know you will enjoy seeing your brother.

I'm hoping my brother and his wife come to see us this month.

I am WASTED!!! I did back to back workouts at cardiac rehab and then PT. Then I ran around in 95 degree weather to run a few errands. That took 4 hours for everything.

I plan to get carry out for supper. I think.

I need to get busy on my Bible study.

Have a good evening, everyone!

Tutu your weather sounds like ours! I love chicken and dumplings too! It's one of my favorite meals.

I took Mom to another dentist appointment to adjust her relined dentures then to her friend's house. Dropped her off at home then off I went for more errands.

Filled up the car with gas and took it to a quickie oil change place to check the tires and fluid levels.

Worked in the yard a bit pulling grass out from around my moon flower that's sprouted. Put some composted manure around it and straw on top. Sure hope it will do OK. Glad I had some helpful advice.

Hiker have fun visiting with your family!

I'm taking Mom to Atlanta tomorrow for her 3 month MRI and labs to check her liver. Please pray for us! We'll get the results the following Tuesday. We're always nervous every time we go.

Good night everyone and see you all tomorrow!

AK--Hope your mom's MRI results are good.

Very hot and humid. Heat indexes over 110.

But I stayed inside today cleaning cabinets in mom's apartment. She has accumulated so much stuff but can't reach the top shelves. Hauled a lot to garbage and recycling. Wore me out.

It has been good to see my brother. We will eat with mom in the apartment tonight. I think my brother and I will go pick up Mexican. Seafood enchiladas sound good to me.

Tutu--stay cool! [Cool]

Yes, so HOT!! It's hotter where you are, hiker.

97 here with heat index of 103 or 4.

I just got home from shopping for school clothes for my friend's 11 year old. It was fun!

This is the third year I've gone with them. Last year was just Sherri and myself because her mom and dad were working.

I ran two errands and brought my delicate cromolyn sodium home before finishing the errands. Had I been thinking, I would have gone there last!

So I'll go back out in a minute. Hotter than blazes!!

Hot down here too! Mom's MRI and labs went well. We were an hour early! We'll find out the results via Zoom next Tuesday.

Unfortunately traffic was horrendous. On top of getting stuck in Atlanta rush hour there was an accident not far from there that kept us in traffic for an additional hour!

Thank you all for the prayers! As soon as I find out the results I'll let you all know. I'm hoping and praying that Mom doesn't have to go through another treatment.

Hiker Mexican food sounds so good! Josh is picking me up after school so we can pick up his car that's been in the shop for over a week. Maybe Mexican food will be my reward!

TuTu I bet you had fun shopping for school clothes for your friend's daughter! Me and Mom used to buy Josh and Jessi's school and summer clothes every year. LOL...we still buy some clothes for Josh and sometimes I come across something fabulous and in my price range for Jessi.

Hope everyone stays cool today!

I did my knee exercises.

My brother and I went through more drawers and closets and took some items to charity. Mom still wants to cling to items she never uses anymore. I will get rid of a few things next time I go without her knowing.

We were also searching for her engagement ring which mom lost. Didn't find it but did find my father's wedding ring under the bed. That went missing about a year before he passed away.

Drove home late afternoon as my brother was going out with friends for dinner. He leaves straight from his hotel back to GA very early tomorrow morning as his friend needs to get back and get ready for teaching.

Lots of construction on my way home and I had to drive on the shoulder with the rumble strips. Hate that. Also dodging tire treads that came off from trucks. But at least it wasn't rush hour traffic like you had, AK.

We must have had a storm here while I was gone. The top of one of my outlets isn't working. Something else to repair.

Got a second surge of energy and went grocery shopping this evening. Now curling up on the couch.

AK .. So glad Josh is getting his car back!! I know he's happy about it.

Keep us posted on your mom's results. Prayers going up!!

Hiker .. rumble strips .. hate them!!

Maybe you could check your mom's vacuum cleaner bag? With lots of luck, your mom's ring could be in there. Hope you can find it.

Keep throwing stuff out. You will thank yourself later!

Went to cardiac rehab this morning and did 10 min on the Nustep and 4 minutes on the ergometer bike. (plus all the arm stuff)

Went to Bible study at 1 pm .. It's breezy today, which is good. Still hot but not as bad as yesterday.

I have to make phone calls for OCC tonight. Not my favorite task, but I did sign up for this position! Get after it!

Tutu—good idea but the cleaning lady at the retirement home uses her own vacuum so I fear the ring is gone. I looked at photos and the last time I saw it o her hand was 2016. She used to take it off to go to water therapy. 🙁

Today we had several thunderstorms and even more showers. I had left 2 loads of wash on the line yesterday. They got thoroughly rinsed several times. I brought them in this evening and put it in the dryer.

Managed to pick 4 of the rows of beans in between the showers. Still 2 more rows for tomorrow.

Hubby and the boys adjusted things at one of the 4wheelers then went for a ride up through the hayfield to the woods.

Folded almost all the wash from yesterday.

Cleaned the beans and have water on the stove getting ready to blanch them yet tonight.

Stayed up too late last night reading so I slept in.

Did my balance exercises and back exercises.

Went to a garage picnic. Pouring rain all day so we had to sit in the garage. Still, good to chat with a few friends.

Talked to mom and then to a good friend for a long time.

The ants are back--this time in the guest bedroom. I anticipate their arrival at any time in the kitchen. We have had over 4 inches of rain, so they will seek out my dry home. [shake]

Making chicken and yellow squash for dinner with a salad.

Hi everyone! Another busy day taking Mom to the bank and her BFF's house. Dropped Mom back at home and took Josh's bike to the bike shop for some sprucing up. It's been in storage for 8 years. He's letting me borrow it to ride with a friend of mine from CO. She'll be here til the end of the month.

The bike shop didn't charge me a thing so I went looking for a bike rack but am not going to pay $60 for the one I found at Walmart. I'm just going to have to shove it into my little Scion for now.

My car window main switch is starting to go out so am taking my car in at 8:00 tomorrow morning. Josh said it was making a weird ticking noise when he stops. So my car will be in the shop. Hoping it'll be done in one day.

Hiker your Mom's ring might turn up in the oddest place. My Mom was eating lunch with me and my AK friends and while gesturing one of her rings went flying off at the restaurant. I'm glad we found it!

Manna I think we're getting some bad weather heading our way. We're supposed to go to Atlanta again on Saturday for a funeral but if the weather's bad we're staying home. I checked on my baby Moonflower and sure hope it'll survive the storms.

TuTu thank you for the much needed prayers! We are kind of on pins and needles until next Tuesday when we'll get the results. BTW, Josh was so relieved to get his car back. I'm so glad he can borrow mine since we have 2 vehicles here. Mom isn't really driving anymore but she'll sneak out when I go out of town. LOL!

Sure hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

Night all!

AK--Hope your car is all fixed. I haven't ridden my bike in several years. I bought a bike with thicker tires about 6 years ago as my thin tires would get caught in the sewer grates on the streets.

I regret it as the bike is heavy and harder for me to balance on it. And harder to lift onto my bike rack for the car.

Went to the dentist this morning. Just had a cleaning and got a good report. Am thankful my teeth are good.

Worked on Bible study.

Did my knee exercises.

Pulled a few weeds, although the ground is so muddy I decided I would wait a day or two to do more.

Just got back from the chiropractor, so will relax to hold manipulation--as if I need a reason to relax on a Friday night. [Big Grin]

Turned out I didn't need window switches on my car and they said they didn't hear the clicking/ticking noise when the brakes are applied. I still hear it though....but at least my windows are working now.

I've been short on sleep the past 2 nights so took my usual pain pill, muscle relaxer and half a sleeping pill just now. If weather isn't horrible we're heading back to Atlanta for a funeral tomorrow.

Did 2 loads of laundry and had to fix the water heater. I accidentally disconnected a wire cramming the bike into the laundry room. So connected the wire and prayed I wouldn't blow myself up since it's a gas water heater and relit the pilot light.

Success! We have hot water again!

Hiker Josh's bike is pretty heavy and I struggle with it having only one good arm. Hope and pray I don't injure myself but I intend to not go crazy while bike riding. I'm pretty nervous but there should be no cars where we'll be riding.

Hope my meds kick in soon because I feel like a zombie from lack of sleep.

[Eek!]

Today I got the beans washed, snapped and blanched. They are now cooling on the table. I'll bag them up and stick them in the freezer. This will take us over 100 packs in the freezer.

Did laundry today also. Hung it all out on the line, but brought it back in before it was completely dry. A thunderstorm came up. So we quick finished up drying it in the dryer.

Picked a bucket full of zucchini today. 2 are big monsters!

Daughter gave the bathroom a thorough cleaning. It was time, the spiders were starting to hang out in the corners.

Hubby and Sonny are still working on 4 wheelers.

The boys took daughter's car for a test run since hubby had fixed something at it yesterday.

AK, an empty milk crate would make a nice shield over your baby moon flower.

Hey, everyone!

Yesterday, I went to an OCC meeting in a nearby town. It's the first time we've met in almost two years.

We are planning a project leaders workshop in September. I'm in charge of a booth about craft ideas. I think I can handle that!!!

Today I did 8 minutes on the NuStep and 4 on the ergometer. It's still pretty hard to get through those due to my hip. I'm hoping that going slowly with this will improve things eventually.

I just finished session #30 today! Wow!! Two weeks away from "graduation." Then I can remove the heart monitoring system and exercise on my own. That will be nice!

Tomorrow we will go to church to get things ready for Sunday. I'm in charge of communion this month and we have 5 Sundays!! I have to do the communion for 3 of those 5.

We got a little rain last night and some today. I don't think it amounted to very much. We could use more rain and I think we will get it next week. It's going to be cooler too!!

Manna .. good idea on the milk crate!

AK .. I need to get my windows checked. The only working window is my driver side window. Someone said it could be a fuse. We lost our mechanic last year, so I'm not sure when I'll get it fixed.

Hiker .. keep reading!! Most of my reading time goes to my Bible study, which I need to get started on.

See you guys tomorrow!

Tutu--We will have to celebrate your graduation long distance. I admire you for sticking to your exercise plan.

This morning I did a load of laundry.

Then did my balance and back exercises.

After lunch I worked outside for several hours, trimming bushes and weeding. Even though it was cooler today I still overheated a bit.

My back neighbors were in their little blow up pool and the music they were listening to was great. They said it was an app called I Heart Radio so I downloaded it on my phone and Ipad and am listening to 70's music. Takes me back to my youth!

Went to the library. Six books I had on hold came in all at once and I still have several at home to read. I will read the popular ones first as you can't renew those. I get 2 renewals on the others, so can have them for a total of 6 weeks if need be.

Off to read! [Big Grin]

Washed several loads of bedding today. Including the bathroom and the laundry room carpets.

Picked tomatoes and made my first batch of V8 juice. 11 quarts.

Peeled 10 lbs of carrots and chopped them with the food processor. Blanched them and now have 7 packs of carrots ready to add to soups or casseroles.

2 of the boys helped pick the beans this evening. We each got a grocery bag full. Stuck them in the fridge. Too tired to do them tonight.

Hubby and Sonny worked at the 4 wheeler most of the day. They had it running a little after 10:30 tonight!

Had a thunderstorm and heavy downpour this morning, before we were out of bed.

Another moonflower blossom opened tonight!
