Can you believe we are nearing the end of April already?
Tell us about your movement for the week. How do you get your exercise: gardening? mowing the lawn? cleaning? sewing? walking?
Hope you all have a super week!

I spent the morning doing Bible study and watching the church service from the National Cathedral online.
I did one load of laundry.
I filled the car with gas. Been a long time since I have needed to do that.
I got my hummingbird feeder filled and hung up.
I spent quite a bit of the day doing a jigsaw puzzle. Finished it up and was dismayed that a piece was missing from this brand new puzzle. But it was fun to put it together.
We got almost 5 inches of rain yesterday, so I know the weeds will be growing in the lawn and give me some exercise this week.

That’s a lot of rain!! We are very green here, as we had 11 inches of rain in March. Probably 6 or so this month. Just guessing.
I was on my feet for 3 hours yesterday baking banana bread and making an old recipe for jello. Both were amazing! I’m spoiling both of us!!
Made King Ranch chicken on Thursday. Yum!! Did you know that my hubby grew up about 30 miles from the King Ranch?
I’m also doing some high level reading. I’m reading Hank, the Cowdog. I used to read all the “Hank” books to my classes.
I’ve also been coloring, so I guess I’ve officially reverted back to my childhood! 🤣

Thanks Hiker for getting us off the couch this week!
Since Josh came for dinner I decided to make a Korean dish called BiBimBop pronounced Bee Bim Bop. Has many vegetables, meat and a fried egg on top. Made my own seiracha type sauce to go on top and it was delicious!
Took me a couple hours to prep but it was worth it! Everyone loved it!
Now I plan on resting all day tomorrow! Wish me luck!

AK-Your BiBimBop sounds good.
I did my shoulder exercises, my balance exercises, and my knee exercises.
Took recycling to bins in grocery store parking lot.
Picked up a prescription for an antibiotic for the infection in my eyelid. First time I have taken an oral antibiotic in 12 years. Hope my tummy survives and it doesn't find any Lyme.
Time to get the garbage out to the curb for tomorrow's pickup.
Later in evening: I just found out that a resident in my parents retirement center has COVID-19. Probably brought in by a staff member. But this really scares me, so I would ask for your prayers.

Finished up 45 masks today. I sewed the ones with black elastic and Hubby sewed the white ones. They are in the dryer and will package them up in the morning.
Was rainy this morning. Had some clouds and sun this afternoon, though the air was cool. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow - will do laundry.
Wrote a letter to a friend, ordered supplements, went to the bank - guess I did get a few things done today.
Good Night!

Got plenty of rest yesterday and today finished up one of my 300 piece puzzles.
Hiker I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. I'll definitely being praying for them. Please let us know how they're doing.
Manna way to go on making masks! I've been a slug since my busy weekend and trying to figure out what my next big project should be. I know I need more topsoil but I think I have to address the issue from another angle first. Might have to put in a drain in the back of the property to stop water runoff.
Well....off to watch the news!

MannaMe--You sure are "going to town" on those masks! Much needed for sure.
I finished up physical therapy at the clinic today after going for 16 straight months for various body parts.
I have a list of exercises and how to ramp up the reps/weights very slowly. I will not miss paying for the therapy, but I really liked the gal who was my therapist. My age and a lot of common interests. Hope we can stay in touch.
The chalazion on my eyelid is still very inflamed. Am hoping the azithromycin will do the trick and get rid of the infection so I don't have to have the ophthalmologist surgically drain it.
I got out another bird feeder and filled all 6 of them. Am hoping to get some hummingbirds but have not seen any, yet.
I wrote a letter to the father of my childhood friend. He is in hospice care now. Funny how I can still remember the address and phone number from 50 years ago.
Warm sunny delightful day, but severe thunderstorm watch out now.
I am off to put a warm wet compress on that eye and then fix some dinner.

Thinking to much about the top soil erosion issue so woke up about 5:15 or so. Decided to shower and do my chores early since I was up. Did some grocery shopping and 2 loads of laundry.
Hoping the top soil I put out the other day doesn't get washed away with the rain today.
Congratulations Hiker on completing your rounds of PT for various body parts! Yay! How are you feeling on the Z pack? Hope the eye gets better quickly!
Well, I'm just going to chill for the rest of the day and research cheap erosion fixes.

Rainy day, but it stopped enough this morning to do a dash to the grocery store. I think everyone in town was there at the same time. LOL
I did my shoulder and balance exercises.
I did laundry. Have to wash all the washrags I am using for wet compresses.
Eyelid looking a tiny bit better.
One of my former colleagues passed away suddenly today from a heart attack. She would have been the last person I would have suspected to die from this as she was so active. Very sad.

I attended Bible study via zoom today.
I did my knee exercises this afternoon.
Jim came and mowed and my neighbors mower their yard. So many grass clippings got blown into the street that we were out there raking the street because it was clogging there sewer grates.
My neighbor noticed a little garter snake in my yard in about freaked out. I just removed it to the field next to my house so she wouldn’t be in a panic.
Time to go put a warm compress on my eye lid. And I think I’m going to sit and read tonight.

Visited my nephew today and did 30 minutes on his treadmill. Even managed a slow jog for about 8 of those minutes. We went and got take out Mexican and binge watched 3 episodes of Star Trek's Picard series. Had a wonderful time!
Hiker I'm glad to hear your eye is getting better! That Z pack and compresses must be doing the trick.
See everyone tomorrow!

I emailed my eye doctor about the chalazion on my eyelid again. I finish the antibiotic today. She said not to refill it and just use warm wet compresses, my eyelid scrub, and eye drops.
She reassured me that these are very common and may take months to disappear. Unless it gets worse she will just look at it at my July appointment. She can drain it, but said she is not doing nonessential procedures like that now.
I did my shoulder exercises and my balance exercises.
I did a load of laundry.
I pulled a few weeds and by a few I mean very few. LOL
A former colleague came over today and we sat on the patio far apart and had a wonderful chat. Hope we can do this more often on nice days.

Hi everyone! Slept about an hour last night. So up and running early and went to 2 hardware stores looking for Croncobium to control the black mold on windows in my room and my Mom's room. Actually had to order online from Home Depot and it was a disaster picking it up. So many people in there not practicing social distancing!
Anyways... so ran errands with Mom and after finally getting Mold Control tackled the 2 windows and then ozoned both rooms.
Hiker did you do OK with the Z pack? LOL....I pulled a few weeds out of the cracks in our driveway. Also picked up some Seventh Generation fragrance free laundry pods to give them a try when I do laundry. We've used Sears brand for years but have to try something new since they've closed. Hope the 7th works out for us.
Well...hopefully can get some sleep in my much improved moldless bedroom. Night all!

AK--Sure hope you got rid of that mold.
I did my knee exercises this morning.
I worked about an hour in the yard hoeing and pulling weeds, although if you look at the yard you can't tell. Stopped before I killed off the shoulder.
I took a short walk. Saw momma duck again under a spruce tree. About a mile from the lake.
Plan to curl up on the couch tonight. I am worn out. It got to 80 today and that is a lot warmer than it has been this spring.
Have a good evening!

Worked on my puzzle today and then ran a couple of errands. Home now and the plan is to finish this puzzle. That'll make 4 of this size that my Mom is ModPodging so one day I'll use them as placemats.
Other than that I'm taking it easy.
Hiker I can't believe it was so warm in your neck of the woods! Our high was 83. Next week I saw one day is supposed to be in the low 90's. I'm not ready for the heat!
Puzzle time!
