It's a beautiful day here! Starting off slow for me but am planning on making a salad, air-fried baked potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and grilling some steaks for dinner tonight.

My nephew, Josh is coming over for dinner, (masked unless he's 6 feet away) and me and my Mom are excited to have some company. So far he's the only one outside of our pest control guy that has been inside our house since March.

I'm chomping at the bit to pick up the few limbs and what not that fell into our yard since the last thunderstorm we had but it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

My plan is to dust off my workout DVD's, yoga mat and weights and start working out at home. Fingers crossed......

AK—Thanks for getting us started this week. Dinner sounds delicious. I will wear a mask when I come!

Got in a short walk after the rain.

My neighbor is kindly tilling up my garden plot.

I cooked some chicken breasts and ended up freezing several. Normally I just cook one at a time but I forgot to separate them when I bought them at the grocery store and freeze them separately.

I did three loads of laundry today which is more than usual but I wanted to wash up my winter jackets, caps, and mittens.

Chatted with my mom who is still locked down in the retirement center. And now I’m going to read.

For all of you who are interested in a good movie CBS has Raiders of the lost Ark on tonight and next Sunday is Forrest Gump.

Have a super week. [Cool]

You all can come over for dinner any time!

I worked out yesterday and today! So doing 3 fifteen minute workouts, some with weights. I'm really out of shape and super sore! The front of my neck, abs and legs are complaining loudly!

Outside of that just chilling. I didn't get to catch that movie Hiker because my Mom was watching Grumpy Old Men during dinner.

How's your Mom holding up Hiker? My Mom actually went out today by herself! Drove to the post office and her BFF's to drop off a couple of things. She was thrilled to drive and truth be told, to have some alone time! LOL!

Hi TuTu!

OK...off to google more on soil erosion remedies!

Ak--Good for your mom for getting out by herself. Are you all wearing masks still when you go out?

I donned my mask and went to Kroger this morning. Was out of gluten free oatmeal and they had some.I bought some other gluten free items like bread and a tv dinner. They didn't have a huge selection of meat, but I used some of my coupons. They actually had some kleenex and tp. And a pint of coconut milk ice cream fell into my cart.

I dropped off my recycling at the bins at my old school.

I did my knee exercises and my shoulder exercises.

I went for a walk.

Filled the bird feeders again. Still hoping for some orioles and hummingbirds, but saw a red shafted flicker today.

I did some cooking.

I know I am going to be tired tomorrow, but it is supposed to rain tonight and all day tomorrow, so I wanted to get outside today.

Time to drag the garbage can to the curb.

Yesterday I made two batches of banana bread because the store had given me 7 bananas last week. They all got ripe at the same time.

I also picked up food again and washed clothes. I do some cleaning just about every day.

We had threats of hail yesterday but only got a little. Today was the same with more on the way. Tornado threat too.

I’m working on my Bible study for tomorrow.

As for masks, I have not been inside a store since early March. Our church may have a service this Sunday. We are small and can stay 6 ft apart.

Our city just adopted the state’s guidelines which is good. Our city was more restrictive because we get so many tourists.

We just hope it all goes well! We know it will take awhile for people to return.

Up early today so polished off my three 15 minute workout DVDs. Looking forward to the time when my muscles won't be so sore! Since I'm working my abs by crunches I've also started doing my pelvic prolapse exercise. That one is easy, I just have to insert one of six weights depending on my strength level for 15 minutes a day.

The reason I've started working out again is to help build some muscle. Between my yard work and other chores I've been to sore and it takes me days to recover. Hoping that with some more muscle my down time won't be so long and painful.

Hiker we're still wearing masks and gloves when we go out. The elderly and at-risk folks still have restrictions until June 15 here in GA. Honestly though, I think people are disregarding that suggestion. Admire your bird watching skills!

TuTu you're doing so much better than me about going out. I went to Home Depot the other day and it was so scary! Too many people not wearing masks or staying 6 feet away. If I didn't need the Mold Control spray so badly I would have skipped going. I try not to go where there will be a lot of people. BTW, that banana bread sounds so good!

Oh and happy Cinco de Mayo to those that celebrate! Josh and I are going to pick up some Mexican food later and finish watching our Star Trek series Picard.

Have a fantastic day!

AK--Mexican food sounds good.

I braved going to CVS to get some hair cutting scissors. I was the only one in the store and saw one person on the street--wearing a mask as required by law here. Trimmed my bangs and sides and got the bangs way too short.

For the last 3 weeks, a friend has been saying she will come cut my hair. I sent the my pics from my fiasco and she said she would be here Friday at 9 AM. I think she wants to talk me into a pixie cut. Not sure about that.

I did my balance exercises.

Raining all day, so I have been rather "blah."

Off to read.

I went to the grocery store today to get my produce. The man in charge of produce said that the trucks are being delayed because so many workers in the warehouse have COVID-19. I just hate to hear that. So sad.

I did my knee exercises and my shoulder exercises.

I worked on my Bible study for tomorrow’s meeting.

I cleaned my linen closet. I didn’t get rid of much but I sure did a lot of re-folding of towels and table clothes.

I hope everyone has a great evening!

Today I did 3 loads of laundry and gave myself a buzz cut. I had Corona hair, dark roots and too long. So I hightailed it to my nephew's to borrow his electric hair clippers.

Note to self: Do not use electric clippers on top of head.

Yep...it's kinda short...but I don't have to worry about it getting to long for awhile! LOL!

Did my 3 workout DVDs and pelvic exercise. Also added in a facial muscles routine.

Hiker, go for the pixie! It's much better than a buzz cut and if you don't like it, it'll grow out pretty quick. Sad about the truck drivers getting Corona.

OK...off to find something to watch on TV.

Ak--Too funny about the clippers.

This morning I had Bible study via Zoom.

I did my balance exercises.

I took a very short walk.

Fixed a board that was coming off my pergola. My shoulder did not appreciate wielding the hammer.

Washed one load of laundry. In dryer now.

Did some more bird watching out the window. Saw a red breasted grosbeak and a redheaded woodpecker.

Did my 3 DVDs, pelvic and facial exercises. OK, that sounds weird clumped together-pelvic and facial-probably better in separate sentences. LOL!

Chilled out with my Mom and downloaded 3 new hidden object games to my laptop.

Noshed on leftovers so a relaxing day.

Hiker my Zumba class is using Zoom but I haven't signed in for those. Envy the walk you took today. I'm enjoying my workout DVDs but really need to add some form of cardio. Unfortunately walking is not an option in my neighborhood. Have to Google the birds you saw today!

Night all!

AK—way to go on the exercises. Sure wish you could walk in your neighborhood. Sometimes I drive a little ways and park so I can walk somewhere new.

A friend came over and cut my hair really short. It will stick up in places for a while but at least I won’t have to have it cut for a long time.

I did my knee exercises and my shoulder exercises.

Today’s load of laundry was to wash my sheets and put them back on the bed. I was hoping to wash the down comforter but since it’s going to be 30° tonight I figured I would wait. Late in the year for a freeze and I’m glad I haven’t planted my flowers or vegetables, yet

I made a meatloaf this afternoon and froze most of it.

But then I got a hankering for Mexican food and since I missed Cinco de Mayo I’m going to go support my local restaurant and pick up a burrito bowl.

Manname and Tutu—What’s shaking in your neck of the woods?

It's raining here and supposed to get cold overnight. The peas are up in the garden. Didn't see the beans yet, so hope they will not freeze.

Been working on sewing projects. Pillow tops at the moment. The masks sales have slowed way down. I have extras on hand if someone needs some.

I started back to work this week. Its been really slow. Our son also went back to work this week. Next week they'll be working till 5:00.

He usually cooks supper on Friday nights but with working till 5, it will make it hard for him to get it ready on time. So I'll cook for him on Friday and he will take Saturday supper instead.

Today my daughter tried baking an angel food cake... It flopped - badly - fell out of the pan unto the cutting board. I told her which recipe I usually use and got her to try again. This one looks beautiful!

Next she mixed up a batch of monster cookies. We baked one pan full for supper. Want to shape some dough into cookies and freeze them. Then we can easily pull out enough to bake fresh cookies.

Trying to come up with recipes to use lots of eggs. We have plenty of eggs on hand! I think I'll mix up some homemade noodles with the extra egg yolks. Haven't tried it in years!!

Went to the bank this afternoon. Our stimulus check came today. That was a blessing!

Hi, everyone!!

It’s going to get cold here tonight. Might get down to 36. I brought two plants inside. The rest should be OK. I know pansies will be fine, as well as my hostas.

I’ve been baking, cooking, and eating. Sigh. Still picking up food so I don’t have to go inside a store.

We will have church this Sunday. We’ve already heard that quite a few people aren’t going to be there. They already called the church to say so. I guess it won’t be very hard to social distance!

Our town is opening up little by little.

We need to all do what we can to help the small businesses and restaurants once they open up. I’m sure many of them are barely hanging on.

The weather has been spectacular. I love it when it’s in the 60’s and 70’s and sunny!!

Worked out to my 3 DVDs and did my facial exercises. Only 8 minutes instead of the recommended 15 with the pelvic weight.

Drove my Mom to the local military post to pick up her RX, gas the vehicle and visit my Dad's grave.

Then home and off to my nephew's to grocery shop together. Ended up eating dinner with him and watching a movie staying at least 6 feet apart.

Hiker I might have to drive somewhere too so I can get some walking in. Trying to muscle up for a couple of strenuous outdoor projects, extending the chain link fence height and digging a trench in the backyard. My extend-a-post arrived today.

Manna it's wonderful that your kids help out around the house and with cooking! I hear you about the stimulus blessing! All of mine is going to my 2 outdoor projects and my Mom.

TuTu are you heading to church Sunday? I'm still wearing a mask and gloves when I go anywhere.

Ugh...1:30 in the morning! Shouldn't have had two cups of coffee this evening at the nephew's!

See everyone tomorrow!

[hi]

MannaMe-Where do you work?

Ak—Why are you digging a trench? Is it a moat to keep the neighbor’s pit bulls out of your yard? Lol

Nice sunny day here in the 50s. A bit windy but nice enough to go for a walk. So, I walked for 30 minutes.

I did my balance exercises.

I grilled salmon and had green beans and sweet potato for lunch.

All the birdfeeders needed filling again. I’m having trouble identifying some of the smaller birds because they fly so fast and flit among the trees.

I am meeting with the members of my small church via zoom at 4. First time we’ve gotten together in any kind of way since the pandemic shut us down. We have a new pastor and an older congregation and I think getting the technology all together was a bit much for some of them.

Have a good afternoon and evening. 😀

On weekends I don't do my DVDs so worked in the yard picking up limbs and trash for about an hour and a half.

Rest of the day I chatted on the phone. Whew!

Hiker way to go on the 30 minute walk! How did your meeting go?

See everyone tomorrow!
