Has anyone had sucess with this?

Pros?

Cons?

Does it work for very ill patients?

Does it treat co-infections?

Thanks so much. This is a protocol I know very little about.

I did it for one year. Absolutely no success and I feel that for many people it could be dangerous--especially if you have high blood pressure or it could be hard on the kidneys.

Some people report success, but like every other lyme treatment it takes many months.

It is good for detoxing bromide toxicity when taken along with:

Idoral
B-Vitamins
Selenium
Buffered C

Positives: good at cleansing gut.
Negatives: Can cause kidney and heart damage. Can raise blood pressure. Cause leg edema. Leach other minerals when used longterm, causing other problems (low iodine, thyroid problems, etc). To balance osmolarity body will take calcium out of the bones if sodium is too high. Etc. Some people including me had serious problems with it because the levels of salt are unhealthy.
Other negatives: A few people seemed helped but generally it was not too successful and on that list most discussion is "OT" now, off topic, ie not on salt/c.

Overall: Not recommended.
