Borrelia burgdorferi: IGeneX IgG/IgM. CD57 for immune function: Test # 505026 HNK1 (CD57) Panel from LabCorp (IGeneX also has it, but so far I think LLMDs are used to LabCorp).

Babesia: IGeneX has a PCR panel for B microti and B duncani, FISH, duncani IgG/IgM, microti IgG/IgM. Burrascano suggested to try an enhanced smear to test for other species of Babs, although I didnt find a lab that performs this enhanced smear.

Bartonella: IGeneX test only Bartonella henselae: FISH, PCR, IgG, IgM. Burrascano recommends doing both PCR and IgG/IgM but doesnt mention FISH. Is FISH no good for Barts? What other Barts like Bartonella quintana? Fry Labs (see comment below)? MDL also has quintana. Or what about Galaxy Diagnostics for Barts (with their Pre- and post-culture PCR)? Clongen with its Bartonella species (detects 20 species of Bartonella)?

Mycoplasma: Medical Diagnostic Laboratories has Mycoplasma general by Qualitative PCR, Mycoplasma fermentans by Real-Time PCR, Mycoplasma pneumoniae by Real-Time PCR, Mycoplasma genitalium by Real-Time PCR, Mycoplasma hominis by Real-Time PCR, Mycoplasma penetrans by Real-Time PCR. Do I need all that? Is the first one enough? Or just fermentans for tick bites? Clongen also has these 6 tests. Their "general" is http://www.clongen.com/MycoplasmaSpecies_PCR.php I wonder if it's as good as MDL's.

Ehrlichia chaffeensis (Human Monocytic Ehrlichiosis or HME): IGeneX has IgG/IgM and PCR. Does PCR really add to IgG/IgM here? What about other tick-transmitted ehrlichia like Ehrlichia ewingii?

Anaplasma phagocytophilum (Human granulocytic ehrlichiosis or HGE): IGeneX has IgG/IgM and PCR. Does PCR really add to IgG/IgM here?

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever: IGeneX has rickettsia rickettsii/typhi IgG and rickettsia rickettsii & typhi/felis PCR. I'm wondering if just the PCR is enough. And does that cover other North American rickettsia as well, like Rickettsia parkeri, Rickettsia canadensis, etc ? Clongen has a single test for Rickettsia species (R. akari, R. australis, R. conorii, R. honei, R. marmionii, R. sibirica, R. rickettsia, R. typhi, and R. prowazekii). Worth it?

Coxiella burnetti (Q fever)? Chlamydia pneumoniae? Francisella like Tularemia (rabbit fever)? Brucella?

Virus:
Colorado Tick Fever, West Nile virus, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), Herpes zoster virus (HZV), Herpes simplex 1 (HSV-1), Herpes simplex 2 (HSV-2), Human herpes virus 6 (HHV6), Parvovirus B19, Powassan encephalitis, Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) and Western equine encephalitis (WEE), Xenotropic murine leukemia virus-related virus (XMRV), Hepatitis B, etc. I think they are best tested with PCR. Though I dont think I can test all these virus.. What are the most frequent? Do antivirals even work against them?


Fry Labs is now offering PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing for twenty-eight species of babesia, four species of borrelia (burgdorferi, afzelli, valaisina, and garinii); a whopping seventy-two species of mycoplasma, and a smaller handful of bartonella species. I could not find an exact number on the latter, but quintana and henslae are at least included. I dont know if they are sensitive at all, or specific, or even if that's just bull****. Comments?

MDL also have groups tests like:
Chlamydiales species (Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Chlamydophila psittaci, and Chlamydia trachomatis) by Real-Time PCR, Brucella species (B. abortus, B. canis, B. melitensis , B. ovis and B. suis) by Real-Time PCR, etc.

Wow! This is quite the list! Can't believe no one responded to this...This post is over a year old!

Probably no one knew the answer. This is a pretty big question. And it demonstrates how hard it is to figure out what to get tested for and who would do it.

And notice that there is another species of borrelia that is not even on his list.....miyamotoi. And probably nowhere to get this done, except maybe in one or two research labs that we will not be sending blood to.
