At the request of my kidney doc who is kinda sold on chronic Lyme, he wanted me to go to a neurologist. First i two weeks ago was an idiot. This one said straight out he doesn't believe in chronic Lyme, but he wants me to retake the MRI which shows lesions, MRI of pituitary because I have siadh (condition related for me not being able to retain salt, and neuropsycholoicl testing. Maybe something will show up in the pituitary for the salt but he indicated MS because of the lesions and also he said he didn't like the fact that my EEG
came back abnormal with slow brain wave lengths. Didn't count too much on the spects done in 2005/2006. I felt he wanted to help, especially I've lived in depersonalization since 11/09 with few times back to me. He knows I'm on psych Meds. , also had tremor (lamictal could do that). I don't buy the ms, but he seems to try to help. Told him pos for Lyme and Bart, looking for neuro reasons other than Lyme. What do you think. My nephrologist is a bulldog looking for reasons for the siadh. On herbals for treatment after 6 years of Iv on and off.

I feel EVERY neuro will toss you for neuropsych testing automatically to discount TBIs. No concerns whatsoever and they could care absolutely less.
It's good yours is looking for other stuff, but some of these damn doctors put their blindfolds on purposely. In my mind, you're either open-minded or not...Some can't see an elephant in front of them and think it's a mice.
ANYONE who only thinks your condition is in their specialty only to me is wrong.

I have found that chiropractic neurology has much more diagnostic prowess and tools at their disposal than mainstream neurology (by a long shot!), and yes my chiro neuro doc is lyme literate.
But I am seeing someone who is noted nation-wide and my rave review is based on that. I can't vouch first hand for others and it's always as good as the doctor.
They do chiropractic adjustments targeting brain centers because there are neuro receptor sites in the joints communicating with the brain, said my chiro neuro doc. They also have exercises they give you, both physical and cognitive, to work on specific brain centers.
See also my thread about the blood brain barrier. I don't know if this matter applies in your case but it was pointed out to me that this barrier can be broken down by lyme. And it can be restored. I have linked articles by other docs about it, see the thread.
