How many bowel movements a day do most of you have?!?!

how many bowel movements a day are needed when treating this disease to keep the toxins moving out of the body?!?!

Around 3-5 BM is what I have. I'm not sure what we "should" have to get the toxins out though.

Yes I feel great when I have many BM - as long as they are solid and now that I'm off oral abx I do have normal BM, yay!!

I would give anyyyything to have 3-5 bowel movements a day!

lol- I have suffered from chronic constipation since being ill. It was actually my first symptom. I have tried EVERTYHING and have resorted to daily water enemas to clear things out.

Whitney - I'm usually closer to 3 BM on average.
But you know what is interesting - I took a really long Epsom salt bath one night (prob a bit too hot for me but oh well) and then the next morning I had at least 3 BM before 10 am and another 2 by 1 pm or so.

I don't know if it's a total coincidence because my diet wasn't that drastic the day before. Maybe my body was detoxing that way?! Who knows but I felt like I lost at least 5lbs!

Sorry to hear about your chronic constipation - it must be awful!

Before lyme treatment I had 3-5 per day, usually with short notice. It was quite stressful.

Now, after treatment, I'm usually 1-2x / day and more "regular."

Penguingirl - it was the magnesium in the epsom salts that you absorbed that loosened things up.

This is almost as much fun as reading about someone's periods.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry Tutu!

Yes TMI..

I can talk about penguins but I'm probably on the wrong forum for that!

stillwater...head cold threads boring....bowel movement threads priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A healthy good diet normal person should have 3 a day. Breakfast in, digested, nutrients absorbed then waste out. Lunch etc Dinner etc.

I get pretty excited about a good BM.

[woohoo] [woohoo]

Constipation & gastritis & GI issues are the bart sx that came about in '05 when another tick got me.
Only time these issues were resolved was with levaquin and the rifampin tx.

Returns as soon as abx is stopped. I'm one of those that can't do abx without becoming toxic.

Enough about BM. Stillwater, how is that cold?

lol - ok, for my 2 cents now - drinking mangosteen juice can help keep it all soft! I like the Ultra version made by Trace Minerals, cheapest through vitacost - no financial affiliation -

I pee a lot. Can we talk about that? It seems all morning long sometimes. Yes, I drink water for all the damn pills I'm on. Then I drink coffee, then I drink more water. ;-)

Yes, pooing is always a good thing. My daughter is constipated and takes Miralax. We have yet to put her on magnesium but that is the next step.

I've had some serious cramping these last few days. I ate some bread at lunch and then some flour tortilla at dinner on Friday. Hopefully, I won't get that stupid again. ;-)

I take magnesium for the constipation. It works great.

There already a thread on peeing in the last few days. It's called cycstis something.

Let's see....we've done #1 and #2. Tutu's idea on periods is old news too. There many for female posts only out there.

Stillwater, good one. [lol] [lol]

I drink water, water and water. I used to pee all day long until I became a water freak. My body uses my water, doesn't need to store water because it knows I'm a giver.

I used to get up 3-5 times a night peeing. Never do anymore.

Magnesium is great for preventing migraines and also for eroding the bone spurs have in neck near spinal cord sac. However, don't bb use magnesium and other metals to form their shields or biofilms? Double edged sword, but no longer have 10 migraines a month!

That's you behind that desk Tutu! I know you were a teacher.

But are you trying to tell us an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Otherwise known as a BM aid. Or are you just giving us the teacher look that says are you that stupid?

Well she won't let us talk politics or religion. So poo talk is safe. We can't disagree about poo?
