I have been treating Lyme for a few months only and I have many Neurological symptoms.
I recently found out I have Babesia and my Dr. started me on Mepron.
I noticed bad dreams that I can't even remember, but I wake up shaking and know I had some kind of bad dream. It takes at least an hour after awakening to come back to reality so to speak.
So, this is all since I got on the Mepron.
So I woke up during the middle of the night last night and noticed I peed in my underwear while sleeping. This is quite embarrassing to even post, but this is medical. I havn't had this since being a child and it was not a problem when I was younger either, just the normal bed wetting as a child that we all had.
But I have to see if anyone else out there can tell me if this has happened to you.
I have not had any Bladder Problems since falling ill to Lyme about a year ago.
I appreciate any feedback as to if this has happened to anyone else.

Bedwetting can be a symptom of parasites and or parasite dieoff. Mepron, can be a very rough drug to take from some of the posts I have seen here.
I don't think this is anything to worry about, but of course run it by your doctor. Do a search on here by going to the top and typing in mepron blues in the search bar at the top.

It happens because the bladder becomes infected and the nerves become inflamed.

You could be having seizures in your sleep. Hubby has seizure-like episodes and when they are at their worst there have been times when he has lost control of either his bladder or bowels. The times this has happened he has always been asleep and/or just did not wake up right in the mornings.

yeh, don't worry. i did it once too. i absolutely couldn't believe it. only did it the one time.
everyone here has had at least once episode or every single symptom i think.
i'm still having problems with leakage and there have been times when i thought i wasn't going to make it to the bathroom in time. ob/gyn says it's common in older women, but i say lyme. and i'm not going to have the repair surgery either.

I haven't had bedwetting issues, but I certainly struggle during the day. I often have to really rush immediately to get to a bathroom. And, a couple times I have not made it.
For me, I feel that my body just doesn't have the energy to "hold" much. Using the muscles that keep in urine takes energy. When I am working on holding in my urine, when I really have to go all of a sudden, I can really feel how taxing this is to my body. Sometimes i just don't have that energy.
I understand how embarrassing it can feel. If you can, just see it in the context of everything else you are going through. It is one more symptom. We have a lot of negative associations with this, but in in the end it is telling you something about your body's needs.

There used to be a poster here who had this as her primary symptom. She was able to recover with trx. I think her name was Kira, or something close -- you may want to try a search.

up - thanks for the courage to post.. if we all don't come clean on our illness,and symptoms... then we ain't winning. I had the same during a bad dream and I'm 55 ... just once tho and I remember I had drank alot of emergen-C powdered juicer. Onlybabs stay the good fight.

In ~2002 Bowen tested me +pos for Babesia. 9 weeks' mepron and zith did nothing. After months of Hepalin the Babs. were gone. WHEW!
Mostly I do not sleep long, or well, but still have an occasional "accident." Don't feel alone.

I think babesia may have caused bedwetting in one of my children. Whenever we started up babeisa treatment, he would wet his bed for a couple of weeks. This was after he had been potty trained.
