I'm on abx for a relapse and am finding that I can't even look at sugar without my glucose shooting up to the sky. Is it affected by lyme? I can take it down with cinnamon and less sugar consumption but is there anything else that you can take to balance glucose levels?

Yes, Yes it does! Any Stress or infection triggers glucose to spike!
stay away from fruits and especially CARBS!! all carbs breakdown into sugar.
Sounds like you might need insulin/or oral meds to control your sugar. your body needs insulin...is why your sugars are high!
get your A1C tested and use a glucose test kit...to see the pattern of your sugar levels.

Some meds can affect lab test results.
For instance, here is what is said about rocephin with regard to glucose:
Cephalosporin Class Adverse Reactions
In addition to the adverse reactions listed above which have been observed in patients treated with ceftriaxone, the following adverse reactions and altered laboratory test results have been reported for cephalosporin class antibiotics:
Altered Laboratory Tests: Positive direct Coombs' test, false-positive test for urinary glucose, and elevated LDH.
So, maybe it is lyme, maybe it is meds. Everyone with abnormal lab results should make sure that they are not drug induced.
