I started ivermectin and want to take it for two weeks.

Moderators, do they have to pm me the dosage?

I am planning on taking 12 mg and three times a
day.
I will take ornithin for ammonia and lemons.

karenl, you are taking 12mg TID, for a total of 36mg/day? Every day for 14 consecutive days?

can I also ask where you bought it?

Posted by feelfit (Member # 12770) on :

Careful, this is a very high dosage of Ivermectin, IMO. Dr. K recommends high dosages like this- but some have had problems with bleeding- (in BM's)

Ivermectin should be dosed according to body weight. And if you are using veterinary (not advocating) Ivermectin, dosing has to be converted.

Many are handling once weekly dosing much better than the heavy daily dosing....Food for thought, not medical advice.

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

I am now taking 9 mg twice a day but wanted to do the 14 day protocol which is a lot more. I started slow and added one a day.

I have the med from a doctor.

Feelfit, I am thinking about it. What is BM?
Once weekly would be an option as well.

I am afraid of eye problems but so far I am
doing ok. I am also on 400 mg doxy a day.

You know I want to be healthy tomorrow and not wait.

Do you know who had bleeding problems?

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

Terminator:
According to my weight it is only 9 mg.So it would be 27 mg a day and not 36 mg for me.

Maybe I will only do the 18 mg for now and another round later. I read the complications aften come after the treatment.

Posted by Terminator (Member # 27328) on :

ok. is your protocol only ivermectin or other anti-parasistics as well? do you have a link for the ivermectin dosage according to your body weight? What kind of complications are you talking about?

I need to read more on Dr K's anti parasite protocol, but dont know where to start. can you take most of them with abx, or is it mandatory to stop abx?

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

I take only one thing at a time but added doxy because they say with die-off you need to be on doxy.

The body weight was on the package of the tablets and K calculated with 170 pounds which was more then I should take.

Posted by feelfit (Member # 12770) on :

Here is what I know. Some who have done Dr. K's Ivermectrin/ biltricide protocol,(which requires every day dosing in relatively high amts.) Have experienced bleeding in their BM's (bowel movements).

There is another school of thought by doctors who are very familiar with parasitic infections- let's say from Columbia and various other locations where parasites are treated regularly.

These doctors propose once weekly dosing according to body weight. Ivermectin last 4 days within our system. Every day dosing allows for higher concentrations over a longer period of time. These doctors believe that this high dosing is dangerous to our bodies.

Either way, you must also be aware that the die-off can make one very ill. Colonics and or enemas are necessary to eliminate the debris from the colon and digestive tract.

Also must be aware that killing a large infestation too quickly can result in an intestinal blockage.

I am personally friends with one who did the daily dosing an suffered bleeding. And a few friends who have done the once weekly dosing and are progressing without much fallout.

One of my friends who has been sick for +23 years, reports that she has felt the best she has in all of that time, with once weekly dosing of Ivermectin.

Again, just reports. I have not tried this (yet) nor am I advocating this. Liver and kidney function must be checked regularly.

Karen, curious, why would die-off of parasites require you to be on doxy? Is it because, once again, Bb comes to the forefront?

Best!

Posted by GiGi (Member # 259) on :

Feellfit, Glad you said this, "Again, just reports." And even if I had stood there watching as the bleeding happened, I would be unable to confirm that this was due to Ivermectin.

None of these programs are supposed to be done without a doctor overseeing them. The preparation, accompanyment of other supporting substances, such as SSKI, etc., and dealing with the fallout of killing parasites is as important as getting the proper dosing.

If you have KPU or are allergic to metals and are not dealing with it, this has to be taken into consideration, or you will be a very unhappy camper. Most likely we are dumping metals as the parasites die.

In order to deal with all parasites, the medicines have to be timed right and taken in the right sequence. Ivermectin does not cross the blood brain barrier, yet many parasite/ larvae live in the brain and that is the reason for the total Dr. K. protocol. You will not be helped if you address only a certain parasite kind with one med and the rest of the others are still eating you alive.

Sometimes, even this extensive protocol has to be repeated. They are very clever parasites.

It is not a colon cleanse. Alive parasites live in the small intestine, dead ones live in the large intestine/colon. If you were a hungry parasite, where would you go for the best food?

Just some thoughts.

Take care.

P.S. I offered the protocol a few weeks ago in one of my posts.

Gigi,

thanks for the info. I am doing well on 9 mg twice a day which is 18 mg a day but according to the protocol and my weight I should take
9 mg three times a day which is 27 mg.

I would now slowly add to get to the 27. And try the 14 days if possible. I always listen to my body if I need a brake.

I was doing the biltricid several times on high dosage but now would need to do also
alinia, albenza ... I understand you say to do everything.

I always stay off the chemicals for some weeks and take salt /C or do you think it is better to do the whole...immediately, like one after the other.

You can pm me for details.

Feelfit, my liver and kidney functions got much better, so it can be that your liver is very happy with the treatment. Also the side effects on the package are exactly the problems the disease causes, we call it herx.

Gigi - I looked at your post from 8/9/11 till now and did not see the total dr K protocol (I saw interesting things though). The closest to the protocol I saw was your email address offering to send it. Do you have a link or would you rather that I email you?

karenl do you still have the package? what would it be for a 220lbs men?

So far my plan looks like:
Biltricide for 2 days then
3 days of 4caps BID of coartem then
Ivermectin and Pyrantel Pamoate for 2 weeks then
Albendazole for 2 weeks then
Alinia (Nitazoxanide) for 3 weeks

Maybe keep pulsing biltricide 2 days a week for a few months. maybe pulse ivermectin every few months (because it mostly kills the growing worms, not the adults). maybe bring in artemisin.

Am I missing any? are you guys including a short course of mepron, or it that only for babs?

I still did not decide the doses. I also wonder if the order is good, and if I could take Ivermectin and Pyrantel Pamoate and Albendazole and Alinia all at the same time [Smile]

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

Yes,tomorrow.
No mepron for me.

To start with biltricide is good, then your liver is clear and you have no problems to detox.

I think you cannot take several at the same time, it is anyhow very strong. Just bad for your stomach.

If you need to go slow you have to adjust.

I think you cannot plan in advance, see how you tolerate it.

What is coartem?

You also can take herbs if you feel you need
to stop and start again later.

It is tough, so you cannot say how well you tolerate it.

Terminator 65-84 kg 4 tablets with 3 mg

over 85 150mcg/kg

according to the package of stromectol
for onchocerciasis

this is the disease which is supposed to come with lyme

(for strongyloidasis it would be more)

Posted by Terminator (Member # 27328) on :

ok. so for 100kg that would be 15mg every 8 hours (45mg/day)?

How much more would it be for strongyloidasis?

2 weeks of daily dosing is quite rough, but should be enough if one pulls through it?

If you see blood in your stool is it very serious (meaning do you have to back off or do you keep going)?

my daughter did the entire Dr. K protocol EXCEPT the last one which was Alinia. It made her very sick and nauseous and she couldnt finish.

On the ivermectin she did I believe it was 48 mg a day. Had no problem at all.

Just recently LLMD put her on low dose Ivermectin 3mg daily. He said he is having good success on low dose long term.

Good luck,

Deb g

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

Will she be on the 3 mg for many weeks or even months? I am now on 18mg but then I can go higher.
48 was over the limit for her weight but we also did double dose for the biltricide.

Is she also on salt/C sometimes?

Posted by sky123 (Member # 27071) on :

I started with 3mg 4 times a day for the first day building up to 12mg 4 times a day by the forth day. I stopped after 4 days. This put my brain in the worse place it has been since getting sick and although this was over a month ago my brain is still a mess and I am completely wiped out. I would advise to start slow with the ivermectin. I don't know if this is one long herx, if I I poisioned myself, I don't know. I did read that Ivermectin stays in your system for 4 days so taking the drug consecutive days will result in very high levels in your body. I would really consider going slow....

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

Sky, it all depends on the load you have.
Therefore it is always good to start low and build up.

Somebody posted ivermectin does not cross the blood brain barrier, so I wonder how you could get brain issues.

Posted by Deb133 (Member # 18544) on :

I think LLMD will keep her on the 3 mg for atleast a few months. We didnt really discuss how long.

She has never done salt/c and i doubt she will. You know how teens can be....its very hard for her to be taking everything as is.

She is also on Mimosa Pudica capsules. This herb is a good overall parasite cleanse. She takes 6 capsules which is equal to 1 teaspoon.

Sounds like you r on the right track Karen

Posted by karenl (Member # 17753) on :

Deb,

I am sure we are on the right track and at the end of the tunnel. Glad she is doing so much better and you found it so early in her life.

Salt/C is great and easy and it would be also good for you, as everybody in the family should be treated. Salt/C works for many things. Maybe later on she will take it for maintenance - it is a minute just drinking a glass of water.

I would like to buy the M Pudica if I can find them.

I will try to take more tablets over the weekend
so maybe I can take 9 a day = 27 mg and then take this for 10 more days. Maybe I stay on 3 mg for longterm or repeat the protocol on 48 mg later.

I was on alinia for 3 days and will restart later,it was not too bad for me.
I also recommend coconut oil all over the body,
I change between coconut and olive oil. It helps.

My daughter started on 1/4 pill two months ago and worked up to 1/2 daily. She has had diarrhea so bad she had to stop the ivermectin. We are still waiting stool cultures before going back on it.

My daughter has been on antibiotics for five years, and this is royally kicking her down. She says she feels toxic all over. All her blood work has come back pretty good except iron is low.

She tested negative for celiac and giardia.

She sweats in a FIR sauna, and really works on cleanses and detoxing. She has a vegan diet and juices every evening. She even tried coffee enemas.

Our doctor, who has his own lab, immeiately drew blood at our visit, and he looked at it. Nothing was attached to the blood cells, as it used to be. And the blobs of colonies he did find are now lacking the biofilm structure. White blood cells were all over it.

So...could this be a die off of the organism? I don't know when she will ever be able to tolerate the 9mg daily that some people are taking.

interesting thought on the low dose, long term ivermectin. I did high doses for 2 weeks. Eliminated a few symptons, including the floaters I have. But, they came back a week after stopping.

Posted by Deb133 (Member # 18544) on :

Kelmo, could the diarrhea be a side effect of the ivermectn itself? My daughter cannot tolerate alinia. Even just one pill bothers her and nothing has ever bothered her before.

It sounds like you are on the right track.

blinkie, perhaps the low dose long term would work wonders for you.

Karen I get the Mimosa right from her LLMD but if you PM me I will give you the name of the place where he gets them from. They are already in capsule form as LLMD says otherwise the taste is HORRIBLE. It isnt cheap however. We will probably do 3 months of the Mimosa.

Kelmo,
why is she not just taking the 1/4 for some time. No rush. I had to start biltricide with 1/4. And salt/C with with 1/8th tsp for 6 weeks.
This is all very normal.

I am now already very advanced and can tolerate 24 mg. After some time on low dose and some days to rest she might suddenly be ok with higher dose. But always stop if it is too much and restart a bit later. Most of us need to go the slow route. The hardest is the first week.

Hi Gigi - I am new on lymenet and starting parasite treatment. Could you send me Dr K's protocol as well? Thank you. (I tried to pm, but couldn't find your contact)

Thanks Karen. She is going to start back up next week at 1/2 and see how she does. If it is too bad, she can back down to 1/4.

I know there are two schools of thought on dosage. Some people want to hit with a cannon. But, if your body is too inflamed from toxins, what's the point?

Some "herx" symptoms have slowed down. But, she has a horrible week, personally, this week and she needs to be at the top of her game.

What doctor's are prescribing Ivermectin? I suggested it to my LLMD a few years back, and she wouldn't go for it. I told her that I believed my floaters were dead parasites, and that my lipoma might be an adult filiarial worm. Well, they tested it, and it wasn't, so that was the end of that. Anyone know of a Dr. in or near NJ that treats with antiparasitcs, please PM me.

Gigi how can we get the whole Dr. Kprotocol without having to put our email up here? TY

Just some thoughts... I have been self treating for a long time, this is just info based on reading things & my own experience.

I have been taking herbal formulas for a while. I thought I was getting better & I really felt good for about a month after about 6 months worth of Parastroy but it (whatever it is) seems to have come back. My symptoms are mostly bad pain. I stopped the anti-parasite treatments for about a month or two & it all came back.

I feel that the herbs may have driven the parasites deeper. I am waiting for some veterinarian drugs that I ordered. It's a great deal less expensive to use the vet drugs but you have to be the kind of person who doesn't mind experimenting. It's not for everyone.

From what I have read, it's the die off that makes a person ill - not so much the drugs. Still, I would want to be moderate in dosage & be very careful.

There are some parasites that the medical professionals do not have tests for. Also, if a blood or stool sample is analyzed - the specimen that the test is looking for may be absent from a particular sample but still living in another part of the body. You have to take a multitude of samples to be sure you do not have a given parasite. One specimen test is really not enough in my humble opinion to determine whether you do not have a parasite problem.

Maybe the Metametrix test is better since it looks for DNA but even that can miss something like hidden lung worm.

From what I have read, "floaters" are not necessarily "parasites". As we age, bits of the inner eye break off & float around in the liquid inside the eye. This is what some people may see. I wouldn't completely rule out that it's not a parasite but chances are that it might not be.

The dosing for ivermectin from what I have read is based on body weight. I'll look up some info I found & post it here later.

I was adding ground cloves & diatomaceous earth to my regimine but just tonight, I found an article that zeolites in some forms may be cancer causing. I'm going to post the article in a separate thread. I'm not sure if DE is a zeolite but it's worth considering.

When I first started doing the anti-parasite herbs, I got really ill. The die off can make a person very sick. If one pushes the drugs - it can be bad but it is worth considering that the die off is definitely something that is no joke. It may be worse than any side effect from a drug - depending on the drug, dosage & length of use.

More -

http://www.merck.com/product/usa/pi_circulars/s/stromectol/stromectol_pi.pdf

interesting to note...

The safety and pharmacokinetic properties of ivermectin were further assessed in a multiple-dose
clinical pharmacokinetic study involving healthy volunteers. Subjects received oral doses of 30 to 120 mg
(333 to 2000 mcg/kg) ivermectin in a fasted state or 30 mg (333 to 600 mcg/kg) ivermectin following a
standard high-fat (48.6 g of fat) meal.

Administration of 30 mg ivermectin following a high-fat meal
resulted in an approximate 2.5-fold increase in bioavailability relative to administration of 30 mg
ivermectin in the fasted state.

sparkle,

It has been my experience that the herbs do not drive the parasites deeper, but actually push them out of the G.I.track and into the toilet. If you go off the herbs too soon, the infection will rebound, just like if you go off abx too soon.

I hope you do well with the Ivermectin, but be aware that it does not kill the adults. Keep us posted with your results with the Ivermectin.

Initially, I had a very severe die off with the herbs. I am going to continue but it was kind of concerning to me that after a couple of years of treatment - when I stopped for about a month - everything came back. There are other factors. I don't know if drugs are the answer.

It was incouraging that I did feel better for about a month. I just wish it would continue. I was feeling that the herbs may be effecting my inner ecology in some way. I felt it may be helpful to try something different to see what will happen.

I'm not real keen on any drug but I'd like to try it to see if it's any more effective or just different. I have read how hard it is to get rid of these buggers. I hate going through these long die-offs (if that's what it is). I wish there was something more efficient.

It can take several yrs to get rid of some of these parasitic infections whether on herbs salt/c or pharma antiparasitics.

Some of these parasites have layed 200,000 eggs a day. So the eggs are in the millions and if any are left over, the cycle continues.

I got rid of thousands of eggs that I visibly saw in the toilet by doing lots of extra cloves. I have no problem with using the pharma drugs at all and if they work to eradicate the infections then that would be great.

Not sure about the other pharma drugs, but Ivermectin does not kill the adults. Maybe doing a series of other pharma drugs will.

At any rate, just wishing everyone to get rid of these infections and be well.

Gael
