Has anyone done a hydrocolonic to remove toxins/parasites, etc.

Of all people, my pharmacist recommended this.

The nearest practitioner is 60 miles away, so I want to have a good idea of how well this works before I commit.

My Humaworm came today, what side effects can I expect from taking it??

Having done many colonics over the years, it is an important procedure especially when doing parasite treatment. Smart pharmacist. Dr.K. recommends these to the majority of patients.

Take care.

I've always felt better after a colonic.

My LLMD wants me to do them as well. I have not started though. It is a series, and cost prohibitive at the moment. The place here that does it is called "alls well that ends well". At least they have a sense of humor about it. When my doctor first mentioned this to me, I felt like I was in 7th grade, me and my hubby could not stop giggling.

I had a colonic done years ago... I felt very light - headed

afterwards but also so "clean " ... I didn't have any illnesses @ the

time... only was wanting to clear out old debris ... during the

colonic I felt many emotions rise up and I was told that these very

emotions were the cause for the " blockages " in the colon in the

first place ... so it was a physically and emotionally cathartic

experience for me ... you may also experience slight pain , like

cramping, but for me it was nothing I couldn't deal with and

minor in comparison to how great it felt afterwards ...

I started out with a LLND that highly recommended these, so I did them off and on for the first few years of my treatment.

I do know that many of the meds I was on were causing constipation, so this helped me along the way from that angle PLUS being able to detox.

I definitely think it helped me and have often thought about going back. Money only goes so far and you start to weigh what is most important at the point of treatment you are in.

Good luck with your decisions.

Gigi and others,

Do you think the colonics can deplete the probiotics in the colon?

Someone mentioned that to me the other day but I'm not sure if that is true?

I did two colonics in a clinic, the second one swept out of me the good and bad bacteria...the bad bacteria replicated faster than the good...hence the c diff I had got worse not better....then I had the fecal transfer and since then no more colonics for me.
I had them infuse probiotics both times but honestly that is nothing in terms of number of bacteria the bowel usually has. Be careful, If you have bowel issues, I would add good bacteria for a long while before I would do a complete cleanse via colonic...try s boulardi and try taking psyllium or apple pectin or chlorella to bind up the toxins....avoid colonics unless you are intending to follow it with a very significant infusion of bacteria.
Just my two cents.

I can't say enough great things about colonics.

They have helped me so tremendously that I bought the home unit. Wish I had of bought it sooner.

With colonics costing $80 each it doesn't take long for the machine to pay itself off.

I don't know whether they completely deplete the good bacteria, but my ND always made sure I take extra probiotics afterwards .

True... they don't replace nearly what the body NEEDS. (probiotics)
