The test for Babesia microti was negative.

The normal range for Toxoplasmosis IGG is 0.0 to 6.3. My test came back 6.3.

I read these results on the labcorp site. Haven't heard from my doctor yet. I read on one site that 6.0 to 7.something was considered indeterminate. So I don't know what to think. I have some symptoms of toxo; but they also match up to mononucleosis. Not sure if older people get that.

Anyone have an experience like this with toxoplasmosis? Any opinions?

Thanks!
SG

Sorry- don't know much about Tox. but first thought that comes to mind:

Do you have a cat (cats)?

I know this won't be popular, but seriously something to consider. Myself, I won't ever own a cat again.

(pretty sure my infections come from feral cat handling 16 years ago)

You didn't test for something important...Babesia Duncani (WA-1). W/O that, you don't have a real picture. LabCorp does the test, but many docs aren't educated on this or assume you need to live in the NW to get it, which is BS. LabCorp actually sends the test out to a specialty lab called Focus Diagnostics in CA.

Was it done? Ask for Babesia WA-1 IgG antibody test? I can provide the lab code if needed. This is a devastating illness so don't miss this! Some docs don't think it's a big issue, but I don't buy that crap for a second anymore. EVERY SINGLE person who gets a positive test has a similar constellation of symptoms that basically destroys their functionality, including me. Coincidence? Doubtful IMO.

I don't have cats; I use to years ago.

Seekhelp, my doc did not test me for babesia WA-1. I do not know why. Probably because I live in the south. When they call me, I will ask about that. They are out of the office today.

I just want to move forward, away from anything "Lyme". Getting ready to build a new house and I want to enjoy it and not think about this crap.

Maybe you never feel perfect after lyme.

I thought I saw an article about WA-1 being found in the Midwest. I'm a firm believer that any illness can be found anywhere!

It is also being found in patients in the eastern U.S. People without a history of travel to the west coast.

WA-1 has been found EVERYWHERE based on the lab's studies. I wish I could move forward and not worry about "Lyme", but that's not reality for me. You can't ignore what slaps you hard in the face day in and day out with symptoms. Especially if you were the main money earner in a household. No luxury at all to act like all is OK when it isn't.
