Curious what people think these NutraMedix products actually treat. Like so many of their products, they are labeled as "Microbial Defense". But, do what do they have really significant action against ... borrelia? bartonella? babesia? candida/yeast/fungus? other?

For me they just stirred the pot. Didn't bring me any noticeable relief.

FYI-

Banderol (Otoba sp) - http://www.townsendletter.com/July2010/sapi0710.html

It's a plant in the nutmeg family...

----

Cumanda (Campsiandra angustifolia) -

http://www.rain-tree.com/campsiandra.htm#.Udud1c0-YS8

Cumanda was one of the only things that I took that actually made me "herx". I think it's anti-parasite but I don't know if there are many studies about it outside of Nutrimedix's studies.

I'm curious about these too. Has anyone else tried any of them and found some benefit? Also, how much to take of them?

I currently take Sawmento and Cumanda along with Serrepeptase and am doing well. (knock wood...I always hate saying that because I don't want to jinx myself).

I don't do a high dose. I increase very slowly, like one drop a week because my flares are so severe.

So far I am holding steady.

Didn't do much for me.

I really herxed from Samento and much more from Cumanda. Cumanda made me get better but with severe condition it's by far not enough. Because of the alcohol you can't take it with tinidazol or flagyl which makes it impossible to take it continuously with Lyme treatment. I would give it a try.
Best medication to break down biofilms is lovenox/clexane in my experience. It makes the antibiotics work again. I'm really detoxing with clexane and having symptoms of die off: like weakness, thirst and so on. But if you are already herxing. Do not add in this or any other medication aimed to kill or help killing the bugs. For me Cumanda is one of the best herbal supps.

I agree with Canefan. "It stirred the pot, but no relief." Herxed badly on it. Took it for 10 months, but relapsed anyway.

I think of cumanda as more of an anti-parasite rather than anti-Lyme. I don't have alot of experience with the banderol. Quina may help as an anti-parasite treatment, too. I wouldn't use these as an exclusive treatment, though.

Has anyone tried doing these and Byron White at the same time (i.e, a BW formula with a Cowden formula)?

I just mixed them. So far so good!

Michael,
Our practitioner uses EDS testing to determine which products treat which infections. Samento kills lyme primarily but also works against bartonella. Cumanda is best for bartonella but also kills lyme. Banderol is also effective against bartonella.

This practitioner's core protocol is samento/cumanda/burbur along with agrisept-L for babesia. And a parasite cleanse is also used.
