If i buy saurkraut will that be the right stuff for my gut? Or do you have to make it at home?

Hi Gigi [Smile]

The refrigerated sauerkraut and pickles are the best.

On the ingredients, it should say cabbage, salt, water. Or cucumbers, salt, water.

Sometimes there is a preservative added. That is OK. I am infusing right now-can't go to the fridge to see.

Vinegar or wine on the ingredients is bad.

The liquid in the pickles and the sauerkraut should look cloudy, and will be in the refrigerated section.

Polish delis will also have "sour pickles" and sauerkraut made with just salt and water.

It must be from a health food type store or say "raw" on it. No pasteurization. And yes, NO vinegar.

No canned sauerkraut.

It is very easy to make your own.
