Is it safe to take MMS with abx (minocin, flagyl, biaxin)? If so, has anyone has experience with taking both at the same time with results? I am still up in the air about this whole MMS thing.

It's not safe to take MMS period. The FDA is warning people about this treatment:

http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm220747.htm

It's a water purifying bleach for gods sake. Nobody disputes that, even the "discoverer" of MMS Jim Humble. I would not take it.

So are you telling me that all of the success stories out there are fake?

I recently asked my LLMD about this, and she didnt have a problem with us trying it while on abx. I would definitely go very slowly though if you decide to do it.

As far as the above article is concerned, of course the FDA is trying to shut it down.. That's their MO. If something is helping people to get their health back (and lots of people are) they will not be seeking "FDA approved treatments." I'm not saying that this treatment is for everyone, but it's certainly worth a try. From everything I have read, MMS is not dangerous when used properly.

All the stories out there are not fake. Go ahead and believe the FDA. We all know they have your best interests at heart. [Big Grin]

Vioxx
Advania
propulsid
Black box for suicide on almost all antidepressants
FDA approved drugs kill over 100,000 people a year.
MRSA from antibiotic use kills many thousands more

I've taken it many times. Over 100 families are reporting significant improvement in their children who are autistic and using it.

Believe YOUR BODY. If it says NO, don't do it.

That's probably the best advice out there.

I've also read of people taking it and having success, but there's a lot of crackpot "cures" for Lyme disease and I'm always skeptical. With something harmless like a Rife machine, I would say "do whatever works for you", but in this case it seems that the treatment is undoubtedly harmful.

I do believe that the FDA has our best interests in mind when advising against taking this product. They are trying to stop people from hurting themselves by drinking an industrial bleach.

There is no doubt that this product was first used as a bleach and water purifying agent, even Jim Humble said so. Humble even states that he had adverse reactions to it after he consumed 8 drops of the product. There are many treatments for Lyme disease that do not come with bans and warnings by the FDA.

Haven't we all already taken MMS? It is called Tap Water & we have been drinking it for years.

Maybe when we all started drinking bottled & purified water, then came the increase in chronic disease?

Good point Lymedin2010.

Isn't the government telling us long term abx are bad too and keep shutting down llmd's? What's the difference?

Frank-incense many lyme treatments come with warnings, levaquin, flagyl and silver come to mind just to name a few.

Do your own research, talk to people who have used it and be your own judge.

I think all avenues need to be explored to kill these nasty bugs.

It would be great to have something that would work on every bug, instead of wondering which combination of drugs is going to work.

I have been a great proponent for mms for 6 years now. I fully support it. There is a learning curve so please read all that you can on this site: www.genesis2church.org they also have lyme testimonials there.

Please don’t listen to the fear mongers on this topic. They don’t know what they are talking about.

MMS provides a very strong kill for lyme and the detox can be very hard to handle. This is why many give up with MMS. Often for some Lyme sufferers the protocol must be started with only half a drop several times a day... when I started MMS (pre lyme) I started with 6 drops a day with no ill effect from herx because i was relatively healthy. My son took 20 drops and felt no ill effect due to his superior health.

The following testimonial is from a woman who went to the MMS clinic in Bulgaria. They work with much more than MMS, including nutrition and boosting the immune system in other ways.

Also do a search for “Adam Abraham MMS’ on youtube and watch his videos about Jim Humble and MMS.

It's not fear mongering when you state facts. MMS is an industrial bleach and water purifying agent. Drinking bleaching agents is not considered safe, by any scientists, by the government, and indeed by anybody who is rational.

The fact that the product is self identified as a "miracle" should be enough to make any thinking person skeptical. Then finding out that it is a bleach and is banned by the government because they have received reports of injury from the product should further discourage those who were considering taking it.

Yes we know, there is anecdotal evidence that the product may help. For those who are desperate for treatment, I can understand that they would do anything, however dangerous, for the possibility of a cure.

I'm just saying, be skeptical and cautious when people mention "miracle cures."

Carmen, are you cured from mms?

I have chosen not to use MMS because Ive used it a lot in the past, for months, and consquently developed a heightened aversion to the smell and taste. I am using it as a mouth wash for dental issues as I can manage that. If people can tolerate it they should use it I think.

I'm keeping as my ace in the hole and will use it if I must.
